Great place for fish and chips mmmh tasty food

Ordered online for delivery. Made a note to check order as item missing from previous order. Food arrived later than requested, system is cash only but driver has limited cash for change. Food not very hot and sausage missing. Called shop and was asked if I would go without and they would credit next time - said no as this was someone's dinner. Took over 30 minutes to arrive, tepid. No apology. Not the best example of customer service.

This is a medium portion of chips at £2.20? Absolute rip off not even enough for a kids portion. Wont go back it's a rip off

First time visiting .food was great and quick service.

I called Jade place to ask when the order would be delivered as it had been over an hour (I asked nicely) and the woman on the phone got really aggressive and told me it had only been half an hour (when it had in fact been an hour) and that it would be another half an hour. She was so rude.

£40 wasted,, rubbish ,nothing nice atall really don’t bother ,, will not use again , chips greasy, rice hard chicken chewy

Totally user friendly place and OK food. (Not the very best Chinese I have ever had, but still looking for ‘the one’ in our area.) Owners very accommodating and will even do a pre ordered Chinese to collect during the week even though it is usually only night time Fri-Sun.

Just had lunchtime fish and chips that where cooked fresh and very nice . Will defiantly visit again and I found the staff very polite and helpful

Best Chinese in the area that I've found. The food is always quick and yummy. nice food always need time to cooking.

Portions are massive. Kebab meat was tasty but no napkins so was a really messy eat. Chill sauce wasn't hot enough.

Best chinese take out in the area, always cooked great they don’t skimp on the food either giving a lot more than other places well worth your money especially for the taste have been a loyal customer of here since trying all the other local chinese places and finding out their all inadequate, well not here! Would have given a five star review but they need to modernise with card machines the shop lacks them and the one they use to go to houses routinely fails. Other than that small issue amazing take out.

The only coeliac friendly fish and chip shop we know, that has their own separate fryer for gluten free chips and batter. Some Chinese food options in GF too. And they haven't doubled their prices for the privilege. A must eat if you have gluten issues. (Chips are also nicer from the GF fryer anyway in my opinion)

Having to wait 1 hour and a half for chinease. Not ideal. Placed an order online. Called 1.5 hours into our wait to be told they have more orders in front of ours! Perhaps they should work out a system to keep everyone updated with their progress.

Well, to be honest I have had better pie & chips elsewhere. To be fair, this was cheaper than some (pie and regular chips for £5 exactly) but I won't go again. As a retired health inspector I 'thought' there was a funny taste to the chips, but honestly guys, there were no ill effects. So, I will just vote with my feet. 'Nuf said.

I will not be using again waiting over an hour and 50 minutes is unacceptable. Online orders seem to go to the back of the queue..

always fast, food is hot, never foget anything. Best chinesse in Waterlooville by far. all other food is also on point, only down side is that no longer accept card payments

Chips or Chinese, always a good meal here. We normally phone in advance, give them 10 mins and collect. Lovely.

1st time but food an staff were good

Had a meal yesterday, thought the staff were lovely and the food came quick and was delicious. Coming here again.

Unfortunately never got to taste the food as after a hour and a half wait we rang the place and was told it be a further 30-40 minute wait. I decided to cut my loses and go to bed starving. Also found the girl on the phone very rude. Nice way to ruin a Saturday cheers 👍

I’ve just had the most atrocious service from this establishment. Advised our delivery would be 55 minutes - cancelled not after waiting for 90 minutes. Tried to speak with the management but apparently they were all out in deliveries! We have been ordering from this place weekly and it’s gone down hill - never using them again. Don’t bother they lie and and are not trustworthy!

Rice was stodgy, food was cold, but we waited for 1hr and 10 minutes for our delivery! Not impressed 😒

We ordered from here on Sunday and were very impressed with the food. They were happy to make dishes vegetarian on request and the service was speedy and the food was hot and freshly cooked.

Amazing takeaway experience. I ordered 2 rices 2 ss chicken and one of the crispy shredded chilli beef. I must say it was not like any other shredded beef they looked like actual shreds not balls like other takeaways. Overall amazing place with amazing food.

A LONG HAIR IN MY DISH! Absolutely disgusting. Pork was chewy and chicken UNDERCOOKED! The worst Chinese I have ever had. I am honestly so disappointed. Additionally, the website did not state what was included in the dishes. I ended up ordering what I thought was plain rice noodles to find that there are all types of meat in it. Do not buy from here. I had my hopes up based on the other reviews. Not worth the money. Portions are big but food is inedible and the hair in the pork is absolutely unbelievable! Cold, undercooked food with a hair in it. Embarrassing.

Ordered beef curry rice chips and chicken balls, delivery guy turned up with 2 chicken chow main and sweet and sour sauce, when our order turned up beef was chewy and rice very over cooked. Will not use again very disappointed

As much as I was excited for fish & chips tonight with the current state of the country I can honestly say that this was the best Fish I had ever eaten. What beautiful batter aswell😍 I will certainly visit here again. Thankyou very much 5 * and they gave a free face mask with my order 🙏

Don't be put off by these false reviews. I have all kinds of meals from fish and chips to Chinese and Thai food. I sometimes collect and sometimes delivery, always polite and always top class. Best value food in the area !

This is by far the best Chinese takeaway in the area, I order regular from here, so does my family! Food is lovely and hot and also the flavour is excellent, not at all greasy. The pancake roll is the best I have tasted. I was at first put off by the large menu but don’t let that put you off. Everyone’s says it’s the best and I have to say after having a few Chinese takeaway from other places it is the best!

Not a fan of takeaways that do different food's from different countries however I have now had the English, Chinese and Thai dishes and I was very impressed buy all dishes and was very happy with price and delivery

I'm yet to find a takeaway that comes close to this place. Friendly staff, efficient service and the food is excellent. We order from them at least once a month, it's just a shame they don't do a loyalty scheme!! Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Came over from Thailand for a holiday and decided to buy some Thai food. Thankyou very much for the nice meal. Roast Duck, cashew nuts with spicy sauce.

After an hour wait Food was just about warm & chinese dishes not as advertised. very dissapointed after spending 25 pounds. Called to complain & nothing was suggested to rectify the situation.

Only tried this place because our normal one was shut. Wont go again, awful microwaved rubbish, even the soggy ( crispy ) pancake roll

Have ordered quite a few times from here, i order thai and my partner has chinese, always comes really quickly, the chicken balls are a bit greasy but apart from that its really tasty and good sized portions

When Jade Plaice first opened it concentrated on fish and chips. To me they were the best fish and chips in the area. Now they offer a full Chinese and Tia menu. Their Tia food is out of the world. The red curry is superb and the lightly battered prawns are melt in the mouth good. We often pick up a portion of the salted chilli chips to go with our steak dinner. Give them a try, I'm sure you will love them as much as my family do.

This is, by far, the best fish and chips in the area. And now they do a full Chinese and Tai menu as well, there reputation is on the up and up. Try their Tai food. You will not be disappointed. We eat here regularly. Tonight we just had their most excellent salt and chilli chips to go with our own steaks. Sublime 😋

Having only moved here a year ago, I decided to go around and have a taste of the different takeaways waterlooville has to offer, and have come to the conclusion that this is definitely the best takeaway I've been to. The fish and chips are always so tasty, as the food is cooked fresh. There are lunch time deals that are excellent value for when I have my lunch break, and my girlfriend can come here to eat with me, as the shop does gluten free too! The chinese is also amazing, especially the Thai and the crispy chilli beef, as the beef is never too dry, but never too wet! I highly recommend.

This is a new establishment and has set a very high standard. They also deliver. The portions are very generous and well cooked. Highly recommended.

Absolute rubbish slimy chicken ..salt and pepper chips????disgusting ..Thai rice might as well of been plain..curry sauce had no flavour and to add insult to injury they sent the wrong sauce didn’t read the notes and to just top it off they forgot my drink 10%off wouldn’t be worth it even for 50% off never again please don’t waste your money

New to area. Chips full of those little tiny scrappy bits. Cod very greasy and overdone.Gravy full of lumps . Sausage and mushy peas ok . Won't be going back again. Very disappointing.

Oh my goodness, fish and chips (gluten free) where amazing and a very generous portion, the biggest fish I've seen. My daughter and I decided to share and we couldn't quiet manage it all. My husband was determined to eat all of his as this is the first time we have found gluten free fish and chips and now his tummy is bloated from being so full and not because of the gluten.

We sat in to have our evening tea and really enjoyed it. I had the cheeseburger which was delicious, with good quality beef and nice, fresh salad. The chips were fab too! Really pleasant owners, would definitely recommend.

Had food from here a few times now the large cod is probably the biggest I've had the chip cooked to perfection but the best thing about this place is the gluten free food that is on offer from fish onion rings sausage in batter curry sauce that tastes like non gluten free food. If you are coeliac make sure you try skaters plaice it's amazing.

It's very rare to find a fish and chip shop that does gluten free. This one does. The cod I had was delicious and the batter the best gluten free batter I've ever tasted. Well done. Strongly recommend if you are gluten free. Good menu and no extra price to pay

The fish has skin on!? Just lazy if you ask me but they will take it off if you ask them. The chips are cooked in a oil that makes them taste like potato peel! Not very nice wont use again
