Jade Garden in Newcastle upon Tyne

House special Chow Mein and House Special Fried Rice were good. Portions were reasonable and value for money. And also tasty.. no complaints. 8 out of 10. Ordered prawn crackers and Sweet and sour sauce.. Sweet and sour sauce smells extremely bad. I bin it.. ZERO for this.Both of them were rubbish. Waste of money. Service I would say 5 out if 10.. Not sure if I return but will consider. Anyway Good luck♥️

Delivery man was smashing , a little late. Ordered 2 munch boxes for the kids. Wasn't cheap and the food was SO SALTY they couldn’t eat it , even the chips were too salty. Used to use this Take away and it was amazing! now I wont ever use it again . Terrible salty and rude on the phone I rang to rectify the situation but the women was extremely rude and just kept telling me how she had has no complaints before! She then hung up on me! Unlike her I was not being aggressive , I was just stating facts Since speaking with the lady on phone I have now found out that this Takeaway has gone down hill since the previous owners have left !!!! Change your take away name , so we know its not Mary and try and make your own reputation Please don't waste your money

Lovely chicken balls,curry, and Chinese style gravy. we drive a 25 mile round trip just to visit this Chinese.

Can honestly say since being taken over the food is absolutely grim the chowmain is absolutely vom and the meats like jelly more a less dog food! Please sort it out! Bring Mary back we miss your amazing food girl 🤣🤣🤣

Absolutely rotten every bit of it

They delivered the completely wrong order and when we rang up about this, they said that they would speak to the delivery driver and send the correct order out, we waited almost a further hour for this and when it did not arrive, we rang again to ask how much longer this would be. The customer service from the person on the phone can only be described as absolutely horrendous, they were extremely argumentative and hung up on us multiple times. They have now refused to refund us or send the correct order out, I have even sent them a picture of the incorrect order completely uneaten. We always order from this takeaway when we are having a Chinese but unfortunately we won’t be doing so again so they have now lost a customer and we will be reporting this.

What happened to this place? It's awful.. I tried to order food and the receptionist repeatedly hung up on me. What is this kind of customer service?

First time visiting Jade Garden. Ordered a Special Chow Mein. It's a mix of old school and new Chinese way of cooking the dish. Everything stir fried together but then a few slices of char siu on the top with a splash of gravy. Was nice and saucy without the greasy mouth feel. Came in a round silver container so the portion was quite big and 100% filling even for a big guy that had not even in 8 hours. Will recommend.

For a Chinese and first time using them and last time was very poor in food . Undercooked but was loads of it. Food was atrocious and definitely not recommend them to anyone looking for a Chinese meal. Giving them one star is being generous.

I have used Mary's jade for 10 years but in last 2 meals in last 3 month it has gone downhill had to wait 2 hours for food and since it has changed hands food has not been acceptable really!!

This was once our only go to Chinese take away we loved the food but since Mary has left this place has taken a serious nose dive we ordered chicken chow main and it tasted vile the noodles were over cooked and tasted fishy and the chicken was absolute mush ( I've had tougher mashed potato ) we will not be going back ever if Mary returns (which I doubt) she won't have a business left AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!

Only ever go here ,foods always piping hot on delivery, staff are lovely I've never had a problem, would highly recommend

After visiting 2 years ago and had the best Sunday lunch eva so traveled for Newcastle today .. very disappointed changed owner's even though we had booked a table they had ran out off beef so had pork the food was not nice frozen Yorkshire pudding and the veg had a dirty gresse taste waste of time and money .. the staff was very friendly

Excellent food is amazing here will be back soon very well priced and portions are generous

It's ok, don't expect spicy if you are an Indian..

Been using Mary’s Jade Garden for many years and she has never let me down, customises my order to perfection, can’t be beaten for quality,service and value.

best chinse Curry ever eaten. I won't buy from any other take away in area. 👍👍👍

Very disappointed with our first takeaway from jade garden ponteland Rd. Was cold on arrival, and lacked taste. Was very bland. More like a casserole.. Won't be ordering again.

Can honestly say the food is amazing from here and not hugely expensive and delivered really quick piping hot drivers and staff at shop are really polite and friendly to customers excellent shop will be closed from tomorrow for three weeks only

Lovely food highly recommend very reasonably priced and when they say there gonna deliver they do . Mary is wonderful a real sweetie, jade garden for us is was a find , 100% exellent .
