Some other local Chinese takeaways have written bad reviews for this place. Easily the best in the area the Singapore chow mein is so good, and the sweet and sour chicken balls are great, do not believe the negative reviews, I doubt they have even eaten from this place. Top-notch food every time.

Guy who took order today 22/4/24..is rude when i complained food was missing!...I asked to speak to a manager & he said they couldn't speak English & he used a translater to speak to them...really dissapointed as we have used this take away for over 16yrs!

Absolutely love the curries from there, they've got a bit of bite to them. I've never had a bad meal from there, and find the people who serve me to be very personable.

Used this take away before wasn't very good then so as our usual Chinese was closed we went to jade garden oh my days never again inside n out the shop needs some TLC food was rank floppy chips greasy prawn crackers n the curry I can't find words to describe what it taste like .

Outside the shop is dirty. The Mat is old and grimy. I ordered their version of special fried rice and by the time I got home and tucked in the rice dish, it smelt sour. I took two bites and had to chuck it away. My overall experience was disappointing having spent £14.50 for that dish and some ribs. The ribs was ok however lacked all the frills that comes with salt n pepper ribs. Won’t be going back ever! The guy also needs training on customer service. Where in 2024 and it’s not on!!

Never trued this place before. Put in a very large order and they prepares it pretty quickly. Portions were very large but more importantly the food was excellent.

We got 2 takeaways as on Sunday 8pm there was no pub serving food. Duck in black nbean sauce and crispy duck were very nice , apart from a bit too much onion to my liking, still very accessible quality. The noodles were also adequate- I would say they very rather tasty, if no for overused cooking oil note. Prawn crackers added for free were fine. Mini spring roll also quite nice. Waitibgctime was about 10 min, so overall happy to rate 4 out of 5

Looks like a grubby place, still using plastic sheeting nailed to wood for the counter makes it look grubby, the fat lazy delivery driver parks on the pavement blocking the pavement, food however is good.

I use to order from here every Friday But the last 2 times they have put onions in my dish When I clearly asked them not too

I've been a customer for as long as they've been there, but never ever again. The man answering the phone is one of the rudest most arrogant people, and the food has taken a down turn. I've let it pass the last few times, but last night he was unbelievable. Arguing with me, talking over me and being so unjustifiable rude. Unfortunately they've lost our custom for good.

Will NEVER come back again! They done the order wrong, even when we repeated it the back to them!! Wouldn't do refund!!!

Food is always very good from here, however, as a regular orderer, I'm not sure who the new person is taking the orders over the phone?. He really needs some training in customer service or a personality transplant. Very rude and kind of puts you off calling to order

AVOID!!! Used to be amazing quality and value . Not anymore! Rude staff, refused to refund (broke uk law and statutory rights) cold, rancid food, delivered over an hour late, stone-cold! AVOID!!! Used to be the best around by a clear mile bud sadly now, they're terrible. The food arrived after over an hour, delivered cold and cardboard like. When i called to complain and request a refund, the manager denied my lawful right to a refund and demanded I had to take the food back in to get my money back! After paying for delivery, this is not only ridiculous but is in fact unlawful practice! I'm guessing new management maybe?... shame but I will never give them another penny after this! Ruby here we come!

Placed an order wrong order delivered rang back and the attitude of the person on the phone was appalling he argued with me and said that I had ordered that and if I wanted the original order I would have to pay more I kept the food but will never order from there again they need to send that certain member of staff on a course on how to treat customers I will find out the name of that person

Always used to order from here, the guy that answers the phone is so rude!! I can’t believe no one else has commented on how rude he is! Put me right off I told him to cancel the order they don’t deserve the custom with people answering the phone like that. Disgusting they need someone else.

There are some awful reviews on here, however we have been using jade garden for many years. They have always been friendly, and the food is always red hot, and yummy! Also thank you for the free vegetable spring rolls! We really appreciate it. :)

I’m sorry but I ordered food from this place and i ordered some egg fried rice and it was not yet cooked the rice was hard and a Spanish omelet and it was mouldy it was vile DO NOT I MEAN DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE IM SURE I GOT FOOD POISING

Ordered beef chow mein and battered chicken balls. Can honestly say, was the worst Chinese takeaway I've ever had. I'm no fussy eater and can stomach most things but this was was awful and went straight in the bin. Battered chicken balls were dripping in grease, and chow mein was clearly not freshly cooked.

I had 3deliverys now food not hot enough they need to serve hot food if you served hot food would taste nice I'm sure of

Absolutely disappointed with jade garden always loved the food from there but today I made my order the man on the phone said it would be half hour to 45 minutes I thought great. An hour passed still not good. So I called tk be told it was going to be a further 30 minutes. I said it wasn't good enough and the man on the phone went silent. So after a while I said are you going to tell me why my food isn't here... His answer. I don't know. Food finally arrived 45 minutes later cold. I won't be using here from now on and I feel others should avoid too!!!

So during COVID-19 they decide to send our order to the wrong house and get it back off them and give it us after it’s been opened and touched I’ve never know. A takeaway get everything wrong everyweek.

My We’ve always been a regular customer of jade garden but last night I phoned my order through at 7pm and was told it would be about 1-1.5 hours for delivery. I understand that they must be busy on a Saturday night but that’s ok. I waited until 9pm then tried to ring them several times to see where our food was, nobody answered so I ended up driving to there. When I got there I was told that the driver had left but they didn’t know what time. I arrived home to find that my food had just been delivered at 9:30, so in total that was 2.5 hours. I think this it too long to and if I was told I would have to wait this long I would have tried to get food from somewhere else. I’m not sure if we will be using them again in a hurry.

Their food is very nice. They are not the cheapest Chinese takeaway locally, but they are good. You do get large portions in a lot of the dishes. I love their crispy wontons in sweet and sour sauce. Also their fried rice or chow mein is good too. Well worth ordering from.

Always enjoyed the food from here but when your told an hour for delivery you don't expect to waiting a further 45 minutes for your meal. This has happened numerous times. For this reason im giving it a 2 star review. Frustrated and never compensated or even offered, not even a damn apology

Nice enough Chinese food place. All typical meals really, mid range prices. Seems fairly clean and has installed some distancing measures, a screen and a cardboard box system.

Objectively the best Chinese going

Ordered a mushroom curry with fried and upon opening my container saw it had meat and mushrooms don’t eat meat so had to take that out and rang to ask to confirm what I ordered he said my order which was mushroom curry but I told him it was wrong he seemed to not really care and said would I like them to send another I said no as was eating with family members so not fair for there’s to go cold. Told him I ain’t going back again didn’t seem to care. Only been using this place for best part of 16years so disgusted!!!

Had to be the most unprofessional, money grabbing poor service I’ve received in along time. The old man had no manners shouting at me down the phone telling me not to talk when it was his fault that I received the wrong order I sat outside his shop waiting to receive. They had me waiting how long to give me the wrong order, then when I rang when I got home only to realise they gave me pork instead of prawns, they acknowledged yes they already knew but didn’t bother to ring to say despite having my name attached to your number on their system. Then they refuse to rectify via delivering what they should have talking about I was to far. It was ok for me to go collect and pay money into their business, but they conveniently decided Im was to far to rectify their error for their own convenience and when I told him to watch his poor manners he put the phone down. Never ever will I put money into that business to be treated like that for their own error not mine! And I’ve I’ll continue to inform people about that place because they need to understand they have no business if the people around them aren’t supporting it! And the requires respect and manners none of which that place or the old man possessed.

Asked for cantonese style sweet and sour and was given the bag of battered balls instead. They did send a delivery driver with the correct meal about 25 mins later but by then the chips and rice were cold so didnt really enjoy it

Have always been a loyal and frequent user of Jade Garden but unfortunately this will no longer be the case. On numerous occasions we have received our food to find items missing. This happens with the chicken balls, which should have 10 in a bag, which we receive open with only 9 left. This happens every time there is one particular driver working. We complained only to be met with threats by said delivery driver and no offer of a refund or acknowledgement from the shop. Horrible customer service and I’m not prepared to eat food that someone has had their grubby hands all over.

Taking orders online and then sending a message saying it’s to far 11 minute drive why come up on the options never will use the place again

Wasn't impressed by delivery driver, told me the cost of food, I paid him, then he hadn't got the manners to hand me my food, but just opened the hot bag and pointed at it , if I'd known he be so rude I'd never included a tip , I shall be ringing jade gardens tomorrow manners cost nothing .

Since i moved to walsall this is the Chinese i use food is brilliant cant fault it 8/10 but ain't going to lie they do have moments where i'm not satisfied! food has turned up late and only on 1 occasion the was nasty

Very disappointed with the takeaway. Waiting 1 hour and 40 minutes for food. When food did arrive. It was all sweated out. Im embarrassed. Had family over aswell.

Lovely food, good and quick service. Been going there for years and only ever once had a problem and they quickly rectified the mistake with no issues. I recommend and we are a Chinese family!!!

Was my favourite take away of all time! Order 3-4 times a week. But the quality has gone seriously down hill. My dad refuses to order from here! I i literally order myself because the extra hot curry sauce is bang on, whilst my dad orders from wood house. But was absolutely disgusted tonight. Sounds silly but it really annoyed me. I always order special curry extra hot and no beef is included in this dish. So I decided to order the mixed meat curry. &there was no pork?! No beef in the special and no pork in the mixed meat?!

I have been using jade garden for a while and it has recently got worse and worse in terms of service and quality. Tonight I ordered a meal for 4 and although it was delivery very quickly, it was cold and tasted like it had been reheated and then left on the side to go cold. I rang and spoke to the lady and she said 'well what do you want me to do?' in a very arrogant way. Initilly I said I didn't want a refund but was just giving them feedback as I order every week and was disappointed. She said she wanted the food back and would give a refund and did not apologise once. She was talking to me as though I was lying and was the rudest person I think I've ever spoken to. I told her the meals had already been put on plates and had been partially eaten, which is how we found out the food was cold? So wasn't prepared to put the food back into containers. She said 'well that's your fault then'. So I told her we would never order from there again. She just said, right, fine and put the phone down. 10/10 for customer service. Well done 👏🏽

Top food , really fresh and staff are so cool

Ordered a takeaway from here for the first time in ages. Staff had changed and the food was poor. Mixed sweet and sour was slimy and tasteless. BBQ spare ribs were in a less than tasty, non bbq flavour sauce. Very disappointed.

Grabbed the wrong menu out the drawer and accidentally ordered from here instead of “ New Jade Garden” the food was disgusting Singapore Chowmein was dried up and obviously reheated only had one mouthful and the chicken satay skewers were tough as old boots again had one mouthful, my partner only ate his food because he hadn’t eaten all day since breakfast, I’ve now put the menu safely in the bin

My family and I have ordered from this Chinese for as long as I remember - I wouldn't call us regulars but on the odd occasion we will order from here if we want a GOOD Chinese takeaway. I'm shocked to read bad reviews, I only saw them as I needed to google their number to order in and thought "What?! That's not right! Are they on about the same place?!". My family and I have never had a bad experience and we have been in the area for 19 years. We normally go in and order and the staff are always pleasant and friendly and the food is cooked super quick - There's one lady in particular that works on reception I always find so lovely. I always compare other Chinese's to Jade Garden as they never match up to how much I like it here. The last two times my family and I have ordered have been over the phone and again the service is great and it gets here super quick. We normally have chicken chow mein, king prawn curry, fried rice, chicken curry, boiled rice and salted chilli chicken.I think the bad reviews are a shame as I really love this place and it goes to show you can't always go on other people's opinions/reviews!10/10! Thank you for consistently good food and service!

I had a beef curry and egg fried rice, curry ok slight layer of oil on top and quite bland, rice well no taste smelt and tasted like it had been cooked and kept warm for hour, you guys make your own mind but I will not be eating there again, the NEW JADE GARDEN in clayhanger is the one I will say visit

After waiting 45 mins for my delivery I had a phone call saying driver was locked out of his car after another 35 mins had another call saying my delivery was now being cooked but he had made a mistake with the price and wanted extra £1.30 Unbelievable he knew I was a new customer

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Had a delivery yesterday and food was cold the shop then closed before I could ring back so I have rang back tonight and the women I spoke to was god damn rude! Absolutely disgusting don’t eat here. Yesterday I was told by the lady on the phone I couldn’t pay by card unless I spent £15.00. They told me it wasn’t going to be delivered 40 mins after I came off the phone so I had time to go and get some money and no it turned up 10 mins after I got off the phone.

TERRIBLE SEVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOOD NOT BAD ALL WANT AND NO GIVE. ?????? If they make a mistake they will not compensate you, over the years there have been lots of mistakes, but I just let them go, loads of orders wrong, missing items.....40 minute wait there for collection last night, then they said order has gone to someone else. no compensation, not even anything extra, even though there throwing the order they got wrong in the bin.( ITS there POLICY, LOL) just another 15 minute wait, after 16 years, you can finally do one, will not give you none of my money ever again.

Ordered food just before 530 on Friday night, although we were told it would be half an hour it was delivered at 540, not too reassuring but sat down to eat curry and chicken balls in batter that must have taken 5 minutes to cook and pack. It was as you can imagine, awful, chicken balls tasted like they were cooked the night before, chicken in the curry same, binned most of it and learned an expensive lesson. No more Jade Garden

Did not visit the takeaway shop but I did not rate there food i asked for two (2) chicken curries 1 with chips and 1 with rice.the chicken was cooked over a bbq because it was burned on parts which with a chinese curry its marinated secondly the sauce was very orangly colour with chinese its a brownish in colour . I requested a menu to see what was avaliable from the shop but it never came with my order

Possibly the worst Chinese takeaway I've ever had! Allegedly chicken in curry in cubes, like no chicken is ever tasted, sweet and sour sauce reconstituted from powder I suspect. Prawn balls saturated in fat. Yuk!

Appalling food quality. Had once, never again ~Singapore mixed meat noodles - the only good dish. The heat was perfect but such a small portion of meat. ~sweet and sour chicken balls - so over cooked and greasy, had the texture of pork ~hot and sour soup - correctly heated but again such a small amount of meat Salt and pepper crispy chicken - not crispy, more oily and soft. NO heat at all!!!

Very small portion of egg foo yung with chicken and shrimp, about 4 slivers of chicken and 1, yes 1 bean sprout, and a few shrimps, and charged extra 50p for using card machine, so all in all in cost me £6.40 for 2 eggs!!!! Special curry very little meat bulked up with masses of mushrooms. Definitely won't be using them again, gone right down

Everything taste's the same no flavours , it's either hot and spicy or plain bland

Some people never get it right. Continually wrong or luke warm. Just looked at my very small portion of green pepper black Bean sauce and 4 small soggy pieces of what seems close to microwaved chicken

The worst food and the worst service ever, a manager who is rude when you express to her that if something is unusual then maybe they shouid express that instead of just serving something in a way that is unusual an expecting their customers to just deal with it, NEVER IN MY WHOLE LIFE HAVE I HAD WET BEEF FRIED RICE - to me as this is not usual and it's my first time using the take away this should have been mentioned - the other food Their rice n sweet n sour chicken is mediocre - Awful service from a woman who defiantly shouid not work with the public let alone make food for them absolute ice queen - she offers no empathy and I would NEVER eat from them Again if they were the only Chinese take away in the whole world - next time I'll drive the 10 miles to Birmingham like I normally do in order to eat quality food not prison slop, the woman told me she does not care if I come back to her shop great customer service, she basically implied I should have known that her beef fried rice was wet when 99% of the time fried rice is dry SHE SHOUID HAVE MENTIONED IT WAS WET - especially as she pointed out that her chicken n prawn are dry - SHES A BLOODY IDIOT N HER SHOP IS A JOKE LIKE HER CUSTOMER CARE, awful attitude with awful food
