Jade Garden in Maidstone

Tried for first time. Not good. Chicken in black bean very bland. Shredded chilli beef soggy and not nice. Won't be going back

very very poor do not buy takeaway here ever .delivery short and no response when phoned . never buy here unless you are steaming drunk ,in which case you won't be aware of the food missing from your delivery ,you also won't be fussed about the taste & you will have no buyers regret in the morning this place is dire

Just had a delivery which consisted of a starter which was missing a couple of items. Cold noodles, crispy chilli beef which was neither chilli nor crispy in fact was a dish of soggy dog food and another foul dish. £35 in the bin!

just don't bother with this place ordered a 1.5 l bottle of coke with order delivery bloke argued that we must have changed or edited the order and he did not have it bought a 1.25l bottle later on worst customer service I have ever had the misfortune to experience

Trip Advisor requests 100 characters ...so... AWFUL. Cold, bland ,soggy, greasy, undercooked chicken. Never again.

Phoned at 6 55pm today Wednesday 25th July and placed a order the lady take my money and then told me it would be a hour. I live less then 5 mins away by car, I asked why and she said because of the roads and traffic, I said it’s up the road, anyway at 8 25pm I phoned as we had no food, after she left me on the phone for about 2 mins, she came back and said it’s in the shop and waiting for the driver to come back to deliver it. I said this is not good, she offer a free main course next time, I don’t think so, I ask for a refund, Take this as a warning, ask how long before paying

Cold unappetising and tasteless Such a shame, this used to be our favourite Chinese takeaway food, but new ownership and the food is awful. We will never eat food from here again.

Ordered in advance for a takeaway to collect at 8.15 on a Saturday and at 8.15 the food was ready and hot.Reasonable in quality and quantity but as the title of my review says "a fairly typical takeaway"

We always used this Chinese as it was the best in Maidstone, THEN they changed hands and oh my did we know it!!! The food is horrendous, the meat is so dry it can't be chewed, the chow mien is so stodgy it's stuck together, the curry may as well be water, the chips are black from bad bits, chicken balls u can't bite the meat inside in half it is so hard, and it's always cold even if u collect it yourself!!!! I'm so gutted, I can't believe it has changed so much!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Discussed. Waste of money. Pork balls were so burnt they were inedible. Everything was cold. Won't be using them again.

Cold mediocre food! Over an hour late! Really disappointed as money taken via Just Eat and would of cancelled if known was going to take so long. .. Will not be returning

we started using this one as our old chinese changed hands and their prices shot up and food was not good. the first time i had a vegetable chow mein i was dissapointed as there was only green peppers and water chestnuts not really a veg one, so ive had the shrimp chow mein twice and its been much better and loads of shrimps. their portions are massive and good value.

Jade Garden has always been the best Chinese takeaway around and we have been regular customers for years. Back in May, we ordered chow meins which were stodgy beyond belief, sweet and sour chicken where the chicken was chewy and greasy and the sauce was inedible as it tasted like pure vinegar, and prawn crackers which were tasteless and stale.We were disgusted and did not order for several months. On Saturday, we decided to give them another try - wrong decision. After an hour and 10 minute wait and a delivery driver with no change, we tried our crispy chilli beef with special fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. There was nothing crispy about the beef - it was chewy and tasteless, and the rice was bland. The chicken balls were so greasy that the paper bag was completely soggy and the sauce was once again very vinegary. To top it all, the whole meal was cold. We will never use this place again, which is such a shame. Avoid at all costs.

Always order from this takeaway. The previous time we ordered we waited 2 hours for our delivery despite being told upon order it would be 40 minutes. We phoned up to complain and were told next time as we are a "valued customer" we can have a dish of our choice for free next time. So we ordered this evening and put a note on our order explaining this and asking them to take one of our dishes off the bill. When the delivery driver turned up he was more than useless. We explained the situation after he tried to charge us full price and he made us phone the manager- not a problem but when we couldn't find the telephone number he wasn't able to provide us with the number. We found the number and phoned to speak to the manager who said she had added an extra dish to the order... But not one of our choice as we were promised. She said she had added a beef dish (which was actually a chicken dish when we opened it) to which we said its not something we will eat as we have ordered the dishes we want and we wanted one of them to be taken off the menu, but she couldn't be less understanding if she tried. When we said that we would be taking our custom elsewhere and not ordering again from them she just said "ok Thankyou". So we paid for the order which totalled to £18.80 and paid with a £20 note, the delivery driver then said he had no change, which seemed all very convenient, he obviously wanted to pocket the £1.20, and after a few minutes of us saying we have no change he went down to his car and then appeared with the change. I certainly don't feel like a valued customer and very disappointed with the service and after 2 years will not be ordering from them again.

Have used this chinese for many years and had fabulous meals from them with the added benefit of a delivery service. About a month ago we had an awful meal. The food was completely different and we ended up throwing most of it away. When I rang to find out why they said the previous chef was on holiday. We awaited his return. We tried again a couple of weeks later - awful. I was told the old chef would be back on 27th April, but having rung tonight to check if he had returned so I could order a meal, was told he hasn't turned up but it should be any day. Will have to find another chinese takeaway. Old chef, fabulous. New chef awful

We've been using Jade Garden for over 18 years. Food has always been hot & tasty & recommended it to everybody. Unfortunately they've recently changed ownership & despite bring told the menu would stay the same, it hasn't. We tried it once & wasn't impressed but as it was just after the change we decided to give it another chance but was bitterly disappointed. They now put onion in the beef chow mien - I can't eat onion & I can taste it in the food & have had to pick all the onion out (it gives me horrendous stomach ache). The chicken balls are much greasier, the Singapore noodles are very peppery & the rest is just mediocre. Shame as it was the best in Maidstone. Unlikely to use anymore :(

We have been using Jade Garden for over 30 years and have never had a bad meal. Unfortunately it is under NEW MANAGEMENT but they do not advertise this. We have given them the benefit of the doubt and ordered on 3 occasions. Our LAST experience yesterday evening was disgusting. We could not eat the chicken curry, as the meat could not be chewed. The prawn chop suey tasted 'burnt' and the egg fried rice was tasteless. I also found the staff to be very rude. Please do not waste your money on these people. Such a shame 😂

Jade Garden was my 'go to' Chinese Takeaway as it always provided Excellent Quality Food as well as being Delicious too. However, since Jade Garden has changed Management, I have only ever ordered from here twice and to be quite honest - I will probably never order from here again. On the First Occassion, we placed a fairly Large Order in which it came to approximately £50.00. The person who Placed the Order, asked the Member of Staff how much our order would come to and they stated the price. However, after waiting approximately 1 Hour and 30 Minutes, the Delivery Driver said it was £60.00 (and something pence). After discussing that it should only be approximately £50.00, the Driver just stood there and did not call up Jade Garden to clarify this. So, us, the customers, rang Jade Garden and the staff were so rude it was unbelievable - basically calling us liars...even though the Member of Staff in the first place said it was only approximately £50. So, because by this time we were on the phone for a good 20 minutes and the food was getting cold, we decided to just pay up the extra £10 that we knew we shouldn't have. Despite all of this, we dished up all the food that was there to discover that a Curry and Spring Rolls were not there. As you can tell, we are not 100% happy at the moment as it is. So, we ring Jade Garden and explain the situation to be told that we never ordered any Curry or Spring Rolls (baring in mind we ordered other sorts of curries as well...just this one wasn't in there). So, due to the fact that the member of staff on the phone didn't understand what we were saying, we asked to speak to the management in which he came on the phone very rude as well, may I add. He said that the computer does not lie and that the curries and Spring rolls were not ordered even though the person who placed the order read the numbers & items from the list we wrote down. Plus, all was confirmed at the end of the call to ensure it had all been ordered. However, after a good long phone call, the manager was in denial and did not offer us another to be sent out, nor a refund or anything and just hung up on us.Second time we ordered, the food has gone down hill and the curries are plain and very watery. Not like Jade Garden used to be. So after paying out such high prices for a rubbish Chinese, we now have to look for another Chinese Takeaway that we like. :-(

Superb food, never had a problem in many years. Delivery is always within the time span given and they are always so friendly whatever time you contact the.

I tried several Chinese takeaways when I moved to the area and this is one of the best I have found.

Best chinese takeaway I have had. No where can beat this place. Delivery time as stated when ordering. Definitely recommend :)
