Jacks cafe in The Vale of Glamorgan

Hands down best breakfast I've had in a long time. Highly recommend and will be back again. My pregnant girlfriend was craving pancakes with syrup and bacon, although not on the menu they still made it and it looked so good. Top staff, top place to eat.

A welcoming cafe with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Coffee is good and reasonably priced.

!!!!! Criminally underrated cafe. !!!!! If you find yourself in Barry, you need to visit this place! Food is out of this world delicious and their special chips... the lady on the front counter recommend them, I've been chasing that flavour since! Also the portion sizes, oh lord you do not leave that place hungry. Not to forgot, but the pricing is super affordable! You're talking £11 for a massive meal and a drink! A must go place for if you're trying to impress your friends Please support this business, as cafes like this are one in a million!

Food was good. Staff were very polite but service was lacking. Order was forgotten about and when it did eventually arrive I was given the wrong food. Waited 45-1hr for a sausage sandwich and a coffee. While it wasn't particularly busy. I will probably return, hopefully just an off day.

Came here for breakfast this morning (have had other things on the menu) And it was genuinely the best breakfast I've ever had. Everyone on the table was happy with their food, good portion size and fair priced. Will keep coking back!

Great breakfast yesterday (Thurs). 6 ex soldiers met up for a breakfast and a good catch up. Thanks to Jack s' team for good food and good service.

Never been in before until today, very pleased with the Latte I order at only £1.50 and customer service was second to none. I will return in the near future. The next big cafe around Barry

Jacks Cafe is a new business. Their menu is fabulous and very reasonable.... I've tried two different types of meals recently... cheese on toast (topped up with bacon, beans and fried egg....😋) The second, was a Sunday roast. A huge amount of roast beef in a large Yorkshire pudding ....👍

Looking at previous reviews I must have just been very unlucky. Admittedly it is a Tuesday, at 11 there was 1 other person in the cafe when I got there and 1 other joined while I was there, so atmosphere was very much non existent but acceptable. The service I recieved was fantastic and I can't fault it to be fair. The food however is good quality produce cooked badly. I had the mighty breakfast and this came to £11 with a latte. Not over priced when you consider what you recieve with quality produce. The Bacon is lovely thick cut bacon but was anemic. I feel like it was boiled as there is no way it saw a frying pan or a hot surface, the same with the sausage lovely taste but lacking colour. The mushrooms had obviously only been cooked on one side. I know this because one side was almost black/brown and the other still white. The beans and tomatoes where both hot so no complaint there, what I will say is it was tinned tomatoes not the grilled ones mentioned in previous reviews. The toast could have done with a little more colour for my preference but it was "toasted". The black pudding looked like it had been over cooked and had fallen appart but tasted OK, both of the eggs had been over cooked and had solid yolks. Everything tasted OK, I wouldn't rush back.

Busy Saturday morning one staff in the kitchen.. everyone having breakfast waited 30 minutes before myself and another customer asked for a refund due to someone who ordered after us being served first the cook didn't even know what my order was.

I had the mighty jack breakfast. Which was 2 bacon, 2 sausages,2 eggs,2 hash, beans, mushrooms, tomato, toast and black pudding. That is hands down the best breakfast I have eaten. Everything was cooked to perfection, the ingredients were top notch. Can't recommend enough. Get down there and support a great local business

I have already visited Jack's Cafe several times and the food is always delicious. 👌 The staff are very friendly and helpful. Service is excellent. Highly recommended this place!

Jacks Breakfast- good to see fresh grilled tomato and mushrooms still included whilst other venues seem to be dropping them. Good quality bacon and sausage, and egg cooked perfectly. Could do with a bit more colour and comfort, but will recommend to others

Looked great, but eggs were over cooked, sausages were just warm and £2 for a small cup of tea when already paying £8.50 for breakfast is taking the mick, not that impressed.

Food is great, portions are far too big and the choice is awesome (decent variety) Price is spot on for the area I just wish they were open a little later for dinner week days but that's hardly an issue.

Popped in at lunch time today with a friend. The food was excellent and staff were extremely polite and friendly. The food came extremely quickly and portion size was good for the price. Further more it was delicious. Would definitely recommend Jack's cafe and will return again when I'm next in town. Jon

Fab food and the people working were lovely even though they were rushed off their feet. Lots of customers dining in and ordering takeaways.

Had to wait a while, food was cold and greasey, toast was soggy and freezing and our food went to the wrong table, and then brought to us after being handled by the people on the other table. No apology when given to us. So won't be visiting again .

Amazing food had a French toast bacon and maple syrup and my mum had a mighty Jack breakfast honestly amazing food and atmosphere will definitely come here again 🫶

Unfortunately had to wait 45 minutes for a greasy breakfast for £7.50 not good at all

Tried it once but very disappointing, pancakes were very bland tasted like there was an ingredient missing, full brekkie was a decent amount of food but bacon was not cooked enough and sausages had hardly browned at all

Placed a large order for our business yesterday to collect this morning. Staff were happy and helpful which is great. Food was delicious and everyone enjoyed. Will be a regular occurrence i think. Thank you!

Staff were pleasant and service was brilliant, didn’t have to wait to long but then I don’t mind waiting if it is good and it was good. The main thing for me was the plate was hot as well as the food. The prices are good and everything that came out of the kitchen looked good. I had the mighty Jack breakfast, beans came in a pot so it suits everyone, I’m like just get them on the plate lol. I will def go back.

The truffled creamy mushroom is a must try, lovely food, reasonable price and fast service.
