I purchased a Double Decker brownie today from Jack Spratt whilst over in Devizes and it was incredible! The brownie was tasty, FRESH and gooey, coupled with the chocolate bar made it HEAVEN to eat! I just wish me and the wife didn't get one to share now!

Popped into this bakery today for the first time as the que for greggs was out the door! So glad greggs was packed because I ended up with the most scrumptious, juiciest proper sausage roll I have ever had! No pink goo here! I also had a doorstep slice of bread pudding, which again is the best I have ever tasted! Full of spice & juicy fruit. And all for £4.50! Absolutely delicious!

Jack Spratt is our go-to place for fresh-baked food in Devizes! The quality of both the food, and the service, is second-to-none. All of the baked goods are fresh and full of flavor. Honestly, have not had any bad experiences and this is why we continue to frequent this business. They have a great selection of food items, and you really can't go wrong. Order their food once, and you'll become a fan.

The food was without a doubt fantastic, excellent quality and very tasty. The service however was not. I said good morning to the chap behind the counter only to be ignored, he then served in such a way that I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome. Another staff member then abruptly asked the person I was with if they needed serving just adding to the already unwelcoming atmosphere. As a rule of thumb I treat others with the same respect and attitude I’d like to be treated myself, always being friendly and polite, I didn’t get this in return. It’s a shame because I like to support local businesses but because of the bad service I won’t be returning.

Honestly everything a small bakery could have for really reasonable prices. Been there numerous times on visits to Devizes and it constantly is top notch. The sandwiches surprised me the most, staff are super friendly and there's generally always a queue out the door. (That's for good reason)

What a fab find in Devizes. Freshly cut bread for sandwiches made as you order. Asked if you would like butter, salt, black pepper. Sandwich wrapped in strong paper - win win. Staff extremely polite and friendly. Can DEFINITELY recommend this place. Also had a great selection of pies, quiches and very enticing brownies -next time😍

Bought some sandwiches here before heading for the motorway for the journey home to Cheshire. We stopped at Frankley services near Birmingham to eat them, which of course saved us a fortune. The sandwiches were delicious, they were well wrapped and were very fresh still, the very nice ladies in Jack Spratt had done a great job. Thank you!

Lovely friendly place. We visited Devizes today and got 2 sandwiches and a Crunchie brownie for me and my other half. Sandwiches made with freshly baked granary or white bread doorstep thickness and plenty of filling! They also sell homemade quiches and sausage rolls too…we are popping back to try the sausage rolls tomorrow. Would definitely recommend! I’m dairy intolerant and they had vegan butter so even catered for that too!!

Lovely staff, lovely food and lovely atmosphere. Always welcome and definitely our go to for any occasion. They have a lovely selection of vodka, gin and cider! Their specials are also delicious. Update: They now stock Hawkstone - even the new hedgerow cider. Delish!

Before 1 oclock many of the items had already run out so it was a relatively limited selection on offer and service was fairly slow. The chicken and bacon sandwich was however very tasty when it arrived and the coffee was good. There were a couple of things which were however an issue. Firstly putting a warm sandwich on a paper sheet even if advertising the cafe is a no no to me as its a nuisance when using a knife and fork. Secondly although I love dogs I do not expect them to sit on the bench next to humans and neither do I expect them to be given water and food when I am eating and finally someone needs to deepclean the toilet. Some of the cobwebs could be months if not years old. I would not return nor to be honest recommend.

Great venue and have enjoyed coffee here before but last couple of times the coffee was really not good. This Sunday was undrinkable. Burnt taste. Chippenham lacks decent coffee shops. Best we’ve had are “coffee on the corner” and “Cousin Norman’s”.

Visited Coq from seeing all the great reviews and the menu offering both of us a good problem in what to order. Warm welcome, lovely ambience to the place and was relatively quiet for lunch. Ordered BangCoq and Mac and Cheese burger with fries to share. Big positives were the portion size and speed of service from ordering the fries were lovely and salty. However in a restaurant that specialises in chicken, unfortunately the positives on the food stopped at the sauce on the BangCoq. The chicken under the sauce was not crispy, it was almost sad, bland and tasted very oily. Without the sauce I would say it would not be enjoyable. The Mac and Cheese burger again suffered from a disappointing chicken, a little bit better but still bland and oily, again helped by the cheese sauce. Unfortunately on the mac cheese there were the fried onions you can buy as a salad topper in supermarkets so it added even more greasy flavour to a dish. The best way to rate somewhere is would you go back? In the case of Coq unfortunately its a no
