Tastes like my friends mum used to make, this type of authenticity is so hard to find in London.

This is a weekly treat for us. Preferred when there was more variety to the menu as we enjoy the options. There now seems to be only 5/6 mains available which we still enjoy (jerk chicken best we have tasted), and for some reason you have removed your oxtail which was also a favourite of ours and the mac bites? all in all tasty food which is very consistent in quality.

Totally delicious meal of Pepper steak (fabulous flavour), rice and peas, fresh mixed salad, plaintain, home made bun. Loved every mouthful. Great service, friendly and laid back atmosphere. Home made waffles with pear and chocolate for dessert - saved for later on, when I had room!

The meal I bought here was of poor quality, small portion and very expensive. £12.99 for a small box! Unfortunately after speaking with the owners not only were they rude and defensive but would not take my concerns on-board. Thumbs down guys..👎🏽

This place is amazing. The delicious, perfectly cooked food, the super friendly service and hygiene all on point as always. Today is my son's birthday and they made us both feel special. The portion size is very generous, I was infact sharing with my son and it was more than enough as we had sides to! They go above and beyond for their customers, nothing is ever too much and it's people and places like this that we need more of. Thanks Jack'n'Grill

Ordered in good faith to support a local business. This was my biggest mistake. Firstly received a call to let me know that they did not have the items I’ve ordered. I was perfectly fine with it. Little did I know the order would be delivered 2 hours later!! The portions are absurd. Portions half the size of an iPhone! Secondly, I ordered “jollof rice” received microwaveable rice with cayenne seasoning. Will NEVER order again.

tried this place for the first time, was quite surprised at the very high prices on the menu for a takeaway. I then enquired as to the size of the meals and was told they were large portions. I was absolutely shocked to see the extremely small portion of food presented in a small cardboard box that I was purchasing for restaurant prices. as I do not argue over food and prices I paid the high price and took the food. once I tasted the food, again I was not impressed. if only the owner could see the potential and think about the customers value for money. I will not be going back there.

Highly recommended this place great curry goat and amazing chicken and waffles. Don't let it's small stature fool you this place packs a punch in the flavour department.

Stumbled in upon this little Caribbean spot last week with a friend. The main indoor area is pretty small but they have a larger patio that seems like it will be great in the summer, especially overlooking the Thames. I had the curry goat and it was juicy and delicious. They gave me a try of mac n cheese bites that are sooo good. I’ll be ordering these every time from now on. Simple menu but offers a variety of foods along with the West Indian staples including breakfast and some vegan options too. Talked to the owners and seems they might have an alcohol license after a while.. We’ll be back for more!

Worst buffet in a long time. Dried up rice , little taste in the foods , not much choice , only 2 desserts. Weekday lunchtime , cheaper , waste of money . Not coming back. Scores On The Doors Official Food Hygiene Regulations - this joint scores only 3 out of 5. Good places score 4 or 5 out of 5.

The Antelope is a large, comfortable, classically furnished pub, with a spacious garden. Good meals, eclectic range of music, all on vinyl and is staffed by lovely, friendly people and attracts a broad variety of custom. They sell a wide selection of interesting and ever changing beers, plus beers from Big Smoke's own brewery in Esher. Always a nice experience! This is a comment about Big Smoke, as opposed to the pub: I've keenly supported Big Smoke pubs and beers since they began, but I've not had the same enthusiasm since they ruined one of their best beers- Solaris Pale, a couple of years ago. Without dissecting the flavour profile, it was a wonderful beer, with huge popularity, so surprising they could give up on it, it always featured on my visits to Big Smoke pubs. The replacement for it is a totally different beer style; I couldn't get on with it and felt it was inferior and having chatted with many others, of varying tastes, ages etc, this seems to be the general consensus! I think their reasoning was something to with being quite an expensive and operationally more complicated beer to produce, for what it was and incongruous with the American type pales, they were mostly brewing. Still- Non-sensical, given the massive quantities they were turning over! Ultimately, it's their business model but what really annoyed me was the continued use of the name. Having built up a massive following and they having put a lot of money into the branding and copyright of the name, they didn't want to give it up. However, I think to continue using an established and loved brand, to sell a totally different product is quite dishonest and misleading to customers! Sorry for the rant but that's why I'm not as into Big Smoke as I once was!
