Lovely and soft fresh bread with crisp crusts. Lots of gorgeous cakes and pastries. The doughnuts are squishy with loads of icing.

Just moved to the area and wanted to try out the local bakery. Very nice tasty food and for a cheap price too. Would recommend visiting

The local bakery. Great bread, loaves, rolls and pastries but also a place to get very good, locally produced filled sandwiches, rolls, sausage rolls, slices and pasties. All produced in the shop and can be selected and made to order. The best advert of the quality is the queue of people as the shop opens picking up their breakfast and/or lunch from the shop. One of the few traditional bakery shops with takeaway food.

He estado comprando pan durante años aquí. Es muy eficiente, muy concurrida y popular! El personal siempre es amable y útil para mí, y agradezco que en una pequeña zona de confinados necesitan concentrarse, así que quizás eso puede encontrado en vez de relajado y sonriente? Hacen un muy buen trabajo, hornear el mejor pan que es el principal objetivo. Todavía me volveré a recibir mi pan. . . . .

Popped in on the way to a job, no warm welcome when you enter just a couple of miserable faces, chose a steak pie and a Cornish pasty, steak pie tasted and looked like dog food inside and burnt pastry, Cornish pastry luke warm. Will not ever return and I'm surprised anyone else does with those two miserys working there.

I moved here three years ago and buy mostly rolls in the bakers plus the occasional loaf. I have read the comments about the unfriendly staff and a lot of people have also told me they think the staff are miserable. To be honest, I get on well with them. I always go in and say " good morning" and find they are always amicable. I agree that you shouldn't be on your mobile. I saw an incident in there once when someone was more interested in her phone conversation, ordered the wrong thing , went out and came back asking for it to be changed. When she was told, no, and she flounced out like a spoilt child. Well done to the staff for standing their ground. Keep up the good work

Great bread, staff rarely smile. Definitely don't go there without a shirt whilst talking on your 'phone!

Quite expensive and often burnt pastries, staff are can be unfriendly unfortunately, not much variety by the time linch hits, not even a name over the shop?!!

We often use this bakery and have never been disappointed - unless we were too late to get what we wanted as it is very popular! There is a wide choice and they will make lots of rolls and sandwiches to order. But best of all are the doughnuts - worth travelling for! There is a cricket ground and park nearby too.

I stopped here for a quick bite, and glad I did. I had a cheese and caramelised onion puff and it was probably one of the best homemade pasty I've had. The jam donut was also just as good. Definitely value for money as the puff and donut came to only £2. Im in the area once every few months so will definitely be back again.

Best Jam doughnuts in the world and the iced apple ones (includes one of your five a day!) are worth it too. Very dangerous to live a short walk away! Staff very helpful and always welcoming. Don't drive by, go in and indulge!

Fresh daily this bread is so tasty. The Ringmer Loaf is unique to us but just one of many really tasty breads. I could eat a jam donut every day but have to limit them of my cholesterol would be sky high. Unfortunately some of the staff are a bit grumpy! Although you can get a coffee or tea here there is no seating apart from outside. Enjoy a hot sausage roll on the go!

Great sandwiches, cakes and pastries. Gets very busy around lunchtime. Don't annoy the girls by asking for something that isn't available though!

I have been using this bakery for years and it sells the best bread for miles. Their rolls are to die for. The cakes are never less than good and everything is fresh. The staff are efficient and polite. If you are looking for a big American cheesy grin and a "Have a nice day" you'll be disappointed, but the staff are perfectly polite and do the job they are paid for.

Moved here nearly two years ago. I was so pleased to find this Bakers. Their bread and rolls are the best. It's always very busy. They also do filled rolls and sandwiches along with sausage rolls, cheese sticks, pies and pastys. Keep up the good work.

Good selectin of rolls, sanwiches, hot and cold drinks. Small table and chairs indicate you can eat in. Lots of bread on display but a bit tired. Not very creative or up to date. Feels a bit stuck in a rut with mature staff who are a bit inflexible. Seems busy, but then there is no choice in Rngmer.

You really can't beat their Norfolk Crunch or their "Ringmer" Bread. I've been buying bread there for over 30 years, and can't understand the complaints about service. Who needs friendly banter or false servility when the bread's as good as you can get.

Excellent bread & sandwiches, reasonable prices. Nice pastries, savouries sometimes a bit salty, but pretty good stuff when you're hungry and in the mood for something traditional.

Coming in to the shop the 3 women behind the counter were talking to each other, blatantly ignoring me and another customer. Saying " Excuse me, could I order please?" got me such a dirty look from them 3 I would have been dead if their eyes had been bullets! Then you ask for a sausage roll, and they want to fob you off with a clod one. Having asked if they could warm it up, I once again got stung by a look that could have killed me.

We only buy bread and very occasionally from this bakery as we live in the next town but it is truly wonderful. I agree with the other reviewer the member of staff she describes is bad for business in my opinion and if not for her I would probably make the effort to shop there more often.

Bakeries are few and far between nowadays; so I was pleased to discover this bakery following a recommendation by a patient. Their low GI bread, and Norfolk Crunch are delicious.
