Poor service, poor presentation and food was standard. Cutlery wasn't wrapped just thrown on table. Wouldn't recommend Haverfordwest wetherspoons

Just wanted something quick as only had limited time on parking, even though the pub was extremly busy we found a table and ordered our food. It came quickly and was hot and tasty. £15.50 for Panini and chips each, ping of carling and a pint of coke.. Bargain!!

I was going to rant about the state of the tables but it just seems to be more of the same . I emailed weatherspoons but received a thanks for the email basically . They don’t care full stop

Carmarthen. Send someone here for training. This is how witherspoons should be run. Busy and good service, good, well priced food. Keep it up

Very nice food. Had a main & pudding. Would have been 5 star but the staff handed food out without cleaning the table from the previous people.

Called in for breakfast before driving home, sat at table which was clear, but not cleaned, service was quick, good was good and was value for money.

Ok so you get what you pay for, Wetherspoons is cheap and cheerful. The staff are always pleasant. However every time we go there are always dirty tables left cluttered with previous customers glasses, mugs and plates, does nobody clear and clean tables ? i understand the place is busy but surely this is a priority! Staff are taking food orders out then walking past the dirty tables back into the kitchen empty handed. The place looks dirty and scruffy which is a shame as it’s a beautiful old building.

Visited the William Owen on a 6/7/23 for a Thursday night for curry. A lovely fish, prawn and coconut curry a new addition and a nice glass of rose. Perfect. The new girl behind the bar was very engaging - it was her first night and I’m sure she will do well. Downsides. Nearly every table had plates of food just left on the table. Sticky and dirty. We cleared off our table in order to sit down. This was 6.30 pm . What I did observe was that of all the waiting staff, Karla the only female was the only one who, when she delivered food, brought an armful of empty plates back with her, all the young males dumped the food down and walked back empty handed! What a waste of manpower. She did mention to the manager and they did start clearing in but reading all the other reviews this is not new. So maybe a new manager?

Lovely pub but clearly under staffed, drinks brought out when ordered on app, but even though going back to the bar, empty glasses off tables not removed, until David come on shift (asked his name for this review) as it was the first staff member to bring our drinks out after being here for a couple of hours and not only greeted us with conversation made sure he went around all the tables collecting all customers glasses 👍

Couldn't believe how sticky and dirty the menus were to many staff hardly any customers surely some of the staff could of had a clean about food was ok wouldn't recommend going there again

Went on 2nd April with intention of having lunch.was absolutely APPALLED at the state of the place! There were tables available, however, none had been cleared! Still had stale food and empty plates etc on EVERY one! We frequent wetherspoons in every town/city that we go and we have NEVER seen anything like it! Do they not employ staff to clear tables? I'm sorry,but we were on holiday from suffolk,but won't be recommending this one at all!

Both our meals were good but some seating need replacing, chairs were split on the seats and some stained very badly.

Love this Wetherspoons, always good food but a terrible visit this time. This was on Friday 3rd March at lunchtime. We were sat in the room on the right immediately after you enter the pub. There was a couple in the window drinking. The man fell into the table where 3 ladies were eating twice, then kept making a nuisance of himself. When they asked him to leave them alone he started swearing at them and about them. Clearly extremely drunk he went to the bar and came back with more drink! The ladies complained to management but nothing was done. Wetherspoons is supposed to be a family friendly restaurant isn’t it? Particularly in the day. I don’t expect to be in one and have my family see and listen to that. Once a customer is so drunk they shouldn’t be served more alcohol. I may take my complaint higher.

We’ve eaten here a few times and usually had a good experience. Not been in since last summer so decided to eat here last night. Cheap n cheerful we thought. The place was busy as usual however staff seemed particularly stretched. No time to collect dirty plates and wipe tables in between customers. We are a family of four and ordered 2 meals and 2 kids meals. Kids meals were ok. Husband ordered the fish and chips - both very dark (sign of dirty fryers, yuk) and chip portion was rather small. I ordered a ham and red onion pizza. It arrived looked delicious however upon cutting into it the dough base was raw!! I returned to the bar with it. Received an apology and it would be replaced. When my replacement arrived (of course everyone else was done eating at this point) again it looked delicious but the base was still doughy. Couldn’t be bothered to return to the bar again. No staff came to ask how our meals were. I was so hungry by this point I just ate the toppings with the crust. Bloody awful. Cannot recommend.

Meh. You get what you pay for. A 6oz American burger with red onion, gherkin, ketchup and American-style mustard for £7.15. Sounded good, I only ate it because it was late in the evening and I was starving. Not coming back in a hurry.

Can’t fault the food very good and reasonably priced but very disappointing to see the staff not wearing any face covering/visors when serving the food and the social distancing was practically non existent, though the tables do have screens keeping people apart whilst eating, very busy thoroughfare to the outside area which was impacting on the social distancing.

Made to feel uncomfortable by the bar staff who couldn't pay attention when ordering. Not somewhere I would want to visit again. Smaller public houses made to feel much more welcolming and valued.

What do you expect from a wetherspoons pub I hear you ask. How about toilet cubicles with doors still attached. How about staff who try to stop fights breaking out in their pub, on a weekday lunchtime, rather than seeming to encourage them. I've seen this place get gradually worse over the years, turning from a typical wetherspoons to a true dive bar.

After our 27 year old daughter, tried and consumed an alcoholic drink on these premises she was refused a further drink by one of the young barmaids who sent the manager to our table. He told us in no uncertain fashion what we could expect if she even took a sip. Apart from the inconsistency of the staff the managers appearance at our table was extremely poorly received. Our daughter was unfortunately not carrying an ID but was never asked for one in many a year. I would advise the barmaid who looked to young to sell drinks, to get special training to deal with guests.

Loving the wetherspoons app. We didn't leave our table all night quick service from both the bar (it was also black Friday and boy was it busy) and the same with our food. Our orders were correct everytime. And the food was lovely and plentiful.

You know what your getting, no frills just good value for reasonable food. Service is quick, food is a average sized portion, never had to wait no more than 10 minutes for food to come out whether busy or quiet.

me and my friends had just had a couple of pilsners at the local conygar bridge when one of the waiters (during pouring our pint of pilsner) was spitting all over our pint whilst speaking , me and my friends obviously didnt notice but when I drank my pint I had a mouthful of flem! But on the other hand they do cater for wheelchair users such as myself and most of the staff know sign language which came very handy when I complained to the manager(which was very helpful in describing the the Emergancy Action Plan when I got a bit nervous in the large amounts of people there).

Enjoyable catch up with friends or as a family with good meals at reasonable prices. Good choice on the menu and drinks.

Great value , my husband and I had steak and chips very nice great value only spent £24 for 2 sk and chips, 2 pints of larger and cup of tea total bonus you can have as many tea refill for free, service was quick ,staff friendly.

I was with a friend at the bar waiting for a glass of water for my friend, then with no explaination we were kicked out. We left the building as we were told, but as my friend was merely asking harmless questions to the security guard, we got replies consisting of direct and indirect comments towards us. The man was being very inconsiderate and shown no signs to want to help. The man had glasses, some facial peircings and a beard. When my friend simply asked if she could get some water he replied with "You can drink the water out the river". He was also listening in on confidential converstations we were having from a distance and made reference to the things I said.

Popped in here whilst holidaying in the area. Fast service, very good menu choices with value for money savings options. Tasty pub food, nothing fancy, but that's what you get from Wetherspoons.Extremely busy but staff were coping well. Would definitely return.

Well after my last review it looks like its stepping up. I actually had good customer service. Previously had poor experience with swearing. Was addressed by one of the staff was happy with explanation and action. My kids love the experience. Staff serving work hard are lovely. Layout bit better for acsess need to look at prams, and wheelchairs. Service is quick, obviously when its flat out you expect things to go Pete tongue? They cope ok coffee machines are pushed but when they can they address this. Food was fair and good. I'm boring with a repeat order but put a new dish in now and then. It's a regular I would recommend it. Its reasonable, they have themed days burgers, fish, curry, steak. Go in use it because the choice is huge for food and drink clap clap well done.

Today with my partner and his friend we went for a meal at spoons, I ordered a Lamb Shank expecting a decent sized meal. Instead I got a big lamb shank, that was a good start, a good amount of mash but 4 cubes of vegetables, which was a big let down. The mash and gravy were lovely but the lack of vegetables and the tastless meat really ruined the meal. The meat definitely needs more flavouring and there definitely needs to be more vegetables on the plate for the price paid for the meal.

Nice old building usually quick service, standard fare, cheap, good for families does get busy at peak times thoigh.

Our friends from many years ago invited us out to an evening meal. They chose The William Owen in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. We arrived at the appointed time to find that all of the tables were full and the place was also full and very busy and quite noisy. Eventually a table for us (six in all) was found, The food ordered at the counter, as is the norm with Weatherspoon establishments, and it did not seem very long before all the meals were in front of us. The plates were warm and the food was hot. Not much food was left on the plates when we had all finished eating. It was still busy and noisy at the end of our meal though not quite as busy as when we arrived which was 18.30 hours (6.30pm)

I don’t usually complain but I would give 0 stars if possible, the service has been dire. I asked for a spare plate and our waiter huffed and puffed and stormed all the way back to the kitchen. I honesty assumed i wouldn’t get a plate but then he returned with a plate that had sauce and grease on. When we asked for a fresh one the plate got wiped and there was still bits of crusty sauce on it. By then we were too hungry and gave up but when we went to eat our chicken bites the paper it was served on also had old sauce on, it looked as if they were reusing the baskets. We were treated very rudely and were completely put off our food not happy!

Went there for a few drinks. Staff were very friendly apart from one barman (middle aged, beard, brown short hair, pink shirt). He was so miserable and made me feel very unwelcome. I ordered twice from him, each time he gave me the vibe he did not like me. Spoils it for the rest of the pub. Will not go there again.

Holidaying near by decided to call in for lunch, plenty of empty seats but all the tables had dirty plates, glasses etc etc. We had to ask for a table to be cleaned for us to order food, this was half done with the previous customers glasses and cups left, we ordered food which was up to Wetherspoon s standard and we enjoyed, cooked to our liking. The hotel itself is quite beautiful in decor, but sadly lacking in speed of which tables should be cleared, not enough staff perhaps,

From start to finish an under whelming experience all round. Female bar staff ignored us for 10 minutes, definitely didn't want to be on duty the evening we visited and was the least professional bar maid we have ever experienced. On a positive note the food was served quickly by a decent waiter, was of poor quality, served on a dirty table, food on the chairs and carpet....no need to say more apart from you pay for what you get!

After hunting around the town centre for a while we were grateful and relieved to find a lovely selection of all day breakfasts with refillable teas and coffees. Food orders taken at the bar and service was reasonably quick and food was tasty. Toilets were lovely, don't miss the paintings as you go up the stairs.

Had a meal here with a friend on Wednesday 5th June and it was awful, jacket potato was over done tuna mayo wasn't properly done along with a warm salad which was more onion and lettuce than anything else. First time in a long time I've been disappointed with meals, service was okish if you count staff being very slow at clearing glasses off a table without any apologies for the delay, along with lack of communication and checking to see if we were happy with our meals. All in all more training needs to be given within the kitchen and front of house. This coming from a qualified chef.

Love their menu options, good prices on drinks and cocktails, very friendly staff! Every time I enjoy a meal there, I try something different, and so far I have never been disappointed!

Cheap frozen greasy or microwaved food with no flavouring obviously ! Only good thing is the refillable coffee !!

We ate here for three nights we were in Haverfordwest. There were four of us and we all agreed it was good value for money. The food was very good and was delivered promptly. The staff were friendly and polite. It was very busy every night and all the staff worked very hard. Tables were cleared promptly when people had left. Would be pleased to recommend this restaurant to any one visiting the area.

Went in with three children table full of roudy blokes behind us. Over baring, one swore out loud used a swear word. Not impressed not dealt with. People looking not amused at all.

Food is what you may expect to get for those prices, but the choice of beers is quite nice. Lots of real ales and craft beers and all at very good prices!

You know what to expect with this chain. Good cheap food and drinks. But these restaurants attract 'quirky' people! Two women were watching a cookery YouTube video on their phone loudly next to us. A drunk bloke with stutter was next to us talking loudly too so not a quiet experience for sure. Food was fine. The wife's steak wasn't medium to well done. No-one checked our table and our table and those around us took a while to be cleared. OK service otherwise
