It’s not what it used to be,went on Friday night ,too loud ,more of a club enviroment,Dj playing so you can’t talk to people .food was not the best ,portions small. Got told new management , the staff looked over worked dropping food .. used to good ,won’t be going back at all , hatch end high street has changed not for the good , too many clubbing places which causes unwanted behaviour. Yet another one to add to the list

This place is amazing from the food to the staff and ambience of the venue. I took friends their and they were so impressed with it as well.

The food was really good including the mains and the starters. The two mock tails were really good . Also seko gave the best service and is just amazing Also Berf was also very welcoming at the beginning and she was very sweet and also very funny

The service we experienced tonight was absolutely subpar, and I can't recommend this place to anyone. The waiters seemed clueless, and one of them, a man with a long beard, spent most of the night chatting with his friends rather than attending to the customers. I've never had an entire meal with an empty glass and no one offering to refill it. The staff showed a complete lack of attention or care, and to make matters worse, the food was mediocre at best. If you enjoy poor service and overpriced, average food, this is the place for you. Otherwise, steer clear!

It’s crazy expensive. Only Turkish style place which doesn’t give rice with £22 meal. Also only 4 pieces per skewer. Awful value , only reason it’s not a 1* is because of good service

Delicious food, cozy ambiance, and excellent service! The flavors are authentic and fresh. Highly recommend the falafel, halloumi side, and babaganoush

My main issue was the food, we were a family of 5, the lamb shish cubes was not tender, just chewy, ordered two of these, the kofta, the meat was grizzly not good quality, seasoning was non existent, meat was tasteless, calamari was chewy the batter was tasteless. We did not complain, paid our bill, learnt our lesson, the food used to be much nicer in the earlier years. The service was very good, the restaurant decor nice, just shame about the food! If they want customers to return they need to improve the quality of the meat and the flavour. It will be a very forgettable meal as no one really enjoyed it, we are all real foodies, I will not be going back there again, there are several other restaurants in Hatch End which are much better.

My first time at Izgara and it has left an amazing impression. The decor is exquisite, seating is well spaced and Staff were very friendly. We ordered a variety of vegetarian as well as meat starters and main dishes. Everything was delicious. The mains are generously portioned. Overall a great experience.

Absolutely loved this place! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I had the vegetables shish, and it was bursting with vibrant, seasonal vegetables and perfectly cooked. Went for lunch, and noticed that the potion sizes were halved, compared to what they served previously. Also, ordered a take away, and when I brought it home and opened it there was just half a portion of rice in the container. Not value for money. Manager has changed. New manager and wife runs the restaurant. They have a new lunch menu. Kept the prices the same and halved the portion sizes.

I attended this restaurant yesterday to celebrate my Nans 80th Birthday. Was greeted by the manger, who was very unwelcoming. Service was extremely slow, even my Nan commented on this! Waitresses poured wine all over my plate and table, even though I didn’t even order any wine. Food was average at best. Waitress kept standing near our table, just clicking her pen, very annoying! The reason though that I am writing this review, is that the restaurant served my aunt meat, when she is a vegetarian!! This is an absolute disgrace and completely unacceptable!! We have spoken to the said manager, who was just like 🤷🏼‍♀️about the complaint. Extremely nonchalant in her response. She confirmed that my aunt had ordered a vegetarian dish and this was the restaurant’s mistake! It was a moussaka dish, so you couldn’t see that the dish contained meat. So my aunt actually ate some of the meat! She is still feeling physically ill today, because of this. The restaurant did give her actual meal that she ordered for free, but that was it! Completely ruined my Nans Birthday dinner. I would avoid this restaurant, especially if you have a food allergy!!

The restaurant started using calor gas flame heaters throughout the restaurant internally for decor - unfortunately the smell is off-putting and bad for people’s health. Prior to this have always enjoyed the meals there- food, atmosphere and service were all spot on.

Absolutely perfect visit, the food was beautifully cooled and presented. Extremely professional service, we had a tiny hiccup when the drinks were served and my wife received a cracked glass which was swiftly replaced when pointed out. The vegetarian options were good, could possibly do with a few more choices. The meat and fish dishes were plentiful on the menu, I took the octopus starter and it was divine, the moussaka main was perfect as well. I had high expectations of the coffee and was not disappointed, it was wonderful, dark and hot and good and strong. We will definitely be returning in the near future. Highly recommended 👌

Izgara in Hatch End made our special occasion truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone for the evening. A special shoutout to Carolina, who served us with such grace and attentiveness—she really went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Berfin, the manageress, was awesome and outstanding, making us feel important, welcomed and cared for us throughout the evening. Both of them are true assets to Izgara. The food was fantastic, with each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The entire team at Izgara was positive and had a happy-go-lucky attitude, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate. We’ll definitely be back … 👏👏👏

Popped in on a whim and was pleasantly surprised! We were in the area by chance and looking for some lunch so headed into Izgara,we were seated in the awning area which is nicely decked out. Shame about the view directly out onto the main road but the restaurant decor and friendly staff made up for it. We had a mix of hot mezze dishes; Squid, Octopus, Meatballs and Liver. All of them were really tasty, it would be difficult to choose a favourite between the Liver & Octopus. Staff were friendly and attentive and we were made to feel very welcome. Appreciated the staff member asking the guy next to us having a video call to to turn his phone off loudspeaker or hang up. All in all, I'd highly recommend Izgaria for lunch and if we were local would likely come back to check out the dinner scene.

I have been to many Turkish restaurants and have enjoyed the food. However this time we decided to go to Izghara. We ordered mixed platter of chicken wings, lamb cubes and lamb chops. We were quite disappointed with the lamb chops and lamb cubes as they were tasteless and bland and chops were a bit raw. For what we paid for the meals we expected at least cooked and flavoured meals. Though the service was very good

We didn’t have a reservation and they managed to fit us. The food was so good, highly recommend the moussaka (we tried veggie and lamb, both were incredible!) and the halloumi filled pastries.

Terrible service, nobody attended the table so we were unable to order second round of drinks. We waited so long for the bill as every time we requested the waiter would say “one minute”. Waiters were busy so they were not happy to help.

The menu offers a fantastic variety of traditional Turkish dishes. I particularly enjoyed the octopus which was delicious. The lamb kebabs were perfectly cooked, tender. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy delicious Turkish cuisine in a beautiful setting.

Great food on the whole; lamb meat balls, shish kebab, hummus, babaganoush, calamari were all great but breads were a bit thick and halloumi in filo pastry tasted more like feta. Baklava and pistachio ice-cream were a perfect way to finish off a brilliant meal. Unfortunately, visit was spoilt by a stollen umbrella so keep yours at the table!

I had my 30th Birthday celebration at Izgara over weekend on 13 July 2024. Berfim was my main contact and looked after me so well and I could not have been happier with choosing Izgara in Hatch End as the place to celebrate for this special day. Everything from the elegant dining area, the impeccable well timed service and the food was outstanding. The restaurant is stylish, so clean and my guests and I were so pleased and we had an amazing time.

Took some friends out for a birthday dinner, all the staff were excellent, food was great and the atmosphere was great too. Highly recommend

This is our go to place for celebrations. We booked in a large group and as usual, it didn't disappoint. With family over from Australia, they were equally in awe of the quality and service. Excellent fresh food, great vegetarian selection, outstanding service - staff go above and beyond. We felt under no pressure to rush our dinner and were well looked after! The staff were all friendly and patient and acknowledged a birthday celebration. Would highly recommend.

This is a very nice cosy restaurant with attentive staff. The decor is really pretty and we sat on the outside which opens up to allow a nice outside breeze as it was a warm evening. I was disappointed with my mocktail drink which clearly only contained one of the 3 components listed in the menu which basically was OJ and a slice of it added to make it look presentable. The waiter kindly offered to fix that however. The food is nothing to rave on about - very mediocre and again lacked real Turkish food flavour. I also felt the portions are not balanced. Definitely the prices do not match the quality/presentation of food here- you are paying for nice seating in a cozy restaurant. I would not return for a meal but only for a drink or two.

Very disappointed at the potion sizes. Smallest seabass I've ever come across, In the decades of dining out we've done. Apart from a cut in half cherry tomato, that was the dish! The oyster chimichurri look half the size that the photos show. Don't get me wrong the food was very tasty but for someone who only has a small appetite I left hungry. And yes I did tell the waiters what I thought but they just smiled and produced the bill of nearly £90. Unfortunately I was comparing this Mediterranean restaurant to one we used several times in Selby, Olive Branch, which I've never come away hungry from. Just don't go there hungry and you won't be disappointed.

Inviting atmosphere, the ambiance deserves a mention. Food tasty and members of staff are amazing, including our servers Chengiz, Dimitry to name a few. Definitely recommend.

The server kept coming to ask us if everything was okay if we needed anything I was in total shock that there was this high level of service and that this restaurant actually cared about their customers and the customer experience. How wonderful!!! 10 out of 10 for service for caring beautiful restaurant, stylish and well kitted out with an outdoor terrace so we really enjoyed the sunshine. All the food was wonderful and the chocolate melting dessert with ice cream was just out of this world. A real pleasure to visit this restaurant and look forward to going many more times

Portions are far too small food was ok but meat is hard chips were soggy was not happy it’s expensive comparing the portions food was not hot it was cold bread was hard and drinks were not presented properly no presentation first attempt but not happy

If you are a vegetarian you should know that all their vegetarian fried food is contaminated with fish oil!! Also the mains are cooked on the same charcoal as the meat. We only found out when someone on our table asked. The situation was even worse for us as one of our friends has a shell food allergy and no one told her this was the case. The manager did not feel it’s a big deal or like they are doing anything wrong. If this is the case they should be transparent about these things and not have a V sign next to the relevant items fried in fish oil! We were disgusted by their attitude, no compensation on the bill either!

Service was a little slow and they forgot my wife's meal who is 8 months pregnant. They did take it off the bill and we're very polite and apologetic.

Food was delicious! Turkish style kebabs and starters with a few dishes. We had chicken and lamb kebabs which were lovely, lamb was very tender. The portion sizes aren't huge but we left very full and satisfied. Our initial waiter was not particularly friendly and led us to the table without saying much and we waited a little while to receive our drinks but once we'd been seen to the waiters were attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Well designed and a great atmosphere. The only problem is the toilets because they are hidden within a mirror wall and unless you've been before they are hard to find, I think if you'd had a few of their cocktails you might get quite confused! Overall a very pleasant experience and I would recommend visiting.

The service was exceptional, the staff were welcoming and attentive. Special commendations to Demetri and Saed as well as the young lady who was in front of house, who helped us get a table on a busy Saturday night. It was a bit noisy, but we were seated in the back area which was a little quieter. Otherwise we really enjoyed the food. Will look forward to visiting again soon

I had the pleasure of dining here with my wife , was served by a gentleman named Cetin, what exceptional service he provided made us feel welcome, was very warm and went above and beyond what you would regularly receive at a restaurant. The atmosphere in here is splendid the lighting was perfect the music not too loud. On top of all of this the food served was remarkable, I got a mixed grill and let me tell you the meat was cooked to perfection, same goes for the sea food grill also, the flavours are tremendous everything just melts in your mouth highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic Turkish grill. Thank you Cetin and Izgara for a wonderful experience will 100% be visiting again.

My boyfriend just tried to make a reservation over the phone as the website wasn’t working for either of us across multiple browsers but the man on the phone insisted the website was fine and that we were lying. We were both sat listening in disbelief as if we had anything to gain by lying about not being able to use the (much more convenient) website. Will not be dining there again after two years of otherwise very pleasant experiences.

I’ll just leave a review of the Hummus which it seems comes straight off a supermarket fridge. All the mains were terribly bland and the staff were so miserable as if doing everyone a favour. To top it the prices are from Knightsbridge. Ha!

Ate here on a Monday lunchtime, we were celebrating my husband's birthday. We were given the main menu, and the lunch time set menu, which has a good amount of choice. We actually decided to eat off of the a la carte menu, we shared 3 starters to include falafel, mains were a mixed kebab, and mixed kofta, both served with a delicious salad, and a side of bulgar. Everything came up hot, tasty, and nice portion. Plenty of parking, plus car park at the rear, we will definitely return, and probably eat off of the set lunch menu next time

We loved it! Fantastic food, lovely staff, and a great experience. We went as a family group with mixed aged children. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was fresh, cooked well and full of flavour! From the Foodies to the fussy diners, the entire group was happy!

This is a review of izgara delivery food and I will start but saying how repulsive it was. We ordered Chicken shish and chicken beyti as our mains along with chips and salad through Uber. Firstly the food we ordered was completely cold. Following every step with Uber, I can see the food was collected promptly and delivered promptly. (We only live less than 3min away from the restaurant). So why the cold food? Secondly it was all overcooked and too chewy which was unpleasant to eat. Finally, and the biggest complaint is the reduced portion of food when delivered . You could clearly see that the beyti was much smaller than the portion you get at the restaurant. You can clearly see it was broken in half and only provided one portion. It's a shame to see this restaurant go from bad to worse!!! If you really want to have Izgara, I suggest taking that extra journey and go to the Northwood branch. They provide a much better service and superior quality of food.

We went to Izgara Hatch end for a family meal. We ordered a few starters to share and lamb cutlets , chicken shish and mixed grill for mains. The starters were nice but the mains were nothing special. Dry food with hardly any flavour. There was more flavour in the salad than the meat. We could have done with vegetables on the skewer or a dipping sauce maybe. (Nice atmosphere and parking available ).

I have been served by a really courteous staff member, Dimitri. He was all the time available, polite, smiling and professional! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!!

Izgara is one of the best Turkish restaurant I’ve visited till now. The food was exceptional. I had dinner on Friday and I ordered some cold starters, lamb cutlets and sea food grill. Everything was amazing. I loved the vibe and the staff were very attentive. Dumitri, a staff member made our experience even better. He was welcoming, professional and smiling. Thank you!
