Popped in for lunch, the staff are friendly and helpful. It was a lovely experience. The food was good, especially the sausage rolls and victoria sandwich!

Had an afternoon tea with friends. The food was fresh and delicious! The staff were attentive and friendly. Bottomless tea and a box to take home the cake we couldn’t eat!

What a lovely tea room beautifully decorated in soft greens and creams a joy to walk into. Lovely welcoming staff and the most fabulous savoury afternoon tea. Cheese scones , sandwiches, ham and cheeses and pork pie plus scotch egg. Plus I’m lactose free and the scones were to die for. A lovely large pot of tea and beautiful china. . Do go and visit such a treasure of a place

Stopped here one sunny afternoon after visiting Melford Hall and wanted to support a local business. We had a lovely cup of tea, strawberry milkshake and homemade victoria sponge! All very nice and well priced. Its a very pretty tea room too. Would return

Such a great venue in the heart of Long Melford. Sadly the food let it down. Had a carrot cake that tasted of baking powder and my friend ordered a Bakewell slice that looked like it was straight out of a packet. I also ordered a coke which was flat. We didn’t complain and paid the bill which quite high considering. It could be such a great business considering its location.

Excellent service Seated immediately and staff took our order Food very good I had the locally made sausage roll - fantastic Staff attentive checking all ok Ice cream to finish - locally sourced I think, very very good Highly recommend

We visited the ivy and bond as we were passing through Melford. We had a 50 min wait for our order of sandwiches. We had long finished our drinks. No one came to apologise for the long wait. But then I think everyone in there had a long wait. I understand that this tea room has not been open long. There were maybe 5 young ladies working all very polite but my feeling was little things needed some attention menus not on tables we had to ask as a waitress passed by. It seemed that the young ladies had certain jobs as we had a bit of a wait to pay and was told the girl to serve me would be there in a min. I really hope that this tea room makes a great success. I will be visiting again.

I live 80yards away and love this place. . The Ploughmans are fanstastic , sandwiches, homemade cakes etc. .. Ticks all the boxes, and thats in a village that is over run with tea and cake shops ( a new one right opposite soon to i hear). . .How many tea and cake shops can one village need ?, i just hope they don’t do each other out of survival. . I can only eat so much cake a day !. . Anyhow Ivy n Bond is great . Keep doing what you do . . (Not sure the ice cream shop they run next door is a great idea, average ice cream tbh).

Myself & my family (including Bolt the soft toy dog) had a truly delicious lunch here today. The staff are so lovely & friendly. I absolutely love the interior decor too, it’s soooo pretty & the food is just amazing, so delicious & really generous portions too. My 6 year old daughter had the children’s platter & absolutely loved it. So much fruit & a whole ham sandwich (some places only give a child half a sandwich) she loved sharing it with her soft you dog Bolt. We will be back & will save some room for ice cream next time. 5 stars & more.

A really great find. Based on reviews of the 3 tearooms listed for the area we based going to this one on the gluten free selection available. The sandwiches were great with plenty of salad and crisps. My husbands ‘normal’ sandwich was massive. Someone there also had an afternoon tea and I couldn’t believe how much food there was. The staff were lovely and attentive. There is a take away service too.

We went here for a quick lunch on 12th July. The staff were very friendly and the decor very nice. We sat in the court yard with our pram and it was accessible which was good. The menu is very limited especially for vegetarians, we ordered the Brie and cranberry sandwich each and it was very basic and bland. The side salad came with a half a small plum tomato each which did make us laugh 😂. The white bread was slightly stale but the brown bread version was fine. For these reasons we won’t be returning.

Lovely tea rooms, staff very pleasant and helpful. Very pretty courtyard dog friendly. I’m vegan and diabetic and they were so very helpful with the food I ordered. Highly recommend and the best vegan ice cream I had in a long while.

Warmly greeted by attentive well trained young team. Proper tearoom with a great ambiance. Close attention to refreshing decor detail carefully melded with architectural history. Enjoyed Darjeeling and Cappuchino with freshly baked scone and very fine local butcher sausage roll. By the time we left the inside was buzzing with lunchtime chatter with customers from 2 days old (babe in pram) to octogenarians and overflowing into quiet courtyard retreat. Even have Juliet Fisher’s book and Suffolk farm eggs on sale. Young trainee waiter was especially attentive and polite. Thank you.

21 members from Risby WI had a great time this afternoon as we had Afternoon Tea. The food was great cakes and scones very fresh with endless cups of tea even some sweets as a surprise. We were not hurried and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff thank you so much for making it special.

Very welcoming and friendly service. We were offered iced water whilst our order was prepared given it was very hot and we had just finished a 7 mile walk. We were seated in the lovely courtyard garden and enjoyed drinks and cakes with impeccable and lovely service. We are only staying for a few days but hope to visit this lovely tea room again.

Today was our 2nd visit, as before service and food were absolutely exceptional! Very generous portions, everything delicious all backed up by first class service from friendly staff. Well worth a visit and we shall certainly return soon 5* plus!
