Ivo Lounge in Huntingdonshire

Probably the 5th time here and can’t fault it. Easy to sit and order food and drinks from table. Brilliant choice Fairly quick and fresh. have had breakfast ,lunch,diner here,all good and reasonably priced. Oh and brilliant friendly staff.

Lovely lunch here yesterday. New menu items were both really inventive and flavoursome - it's great to know that there will always be something on the menu to meet preferences/needs (and discreetly, budgets) of different friends. Atmosphere very relaxed, both human and canine - at first I didn't realise just how many dogs there were all in the same room. Standard fizzy drinks can add to the bill, so you might as well go for some of the many more interesting ones, or can help yourself to water

I live in St Ives, and a tad reluctant to try as Ivo Lounge is part of a chain. Pleasantly surprised. Met at the entrance and directed to a table my choice of the ones with a menu. Guided through the ordering process, surprised at first to no table service only delivery. However, this is probably to keep the cost down and squabbling over how and who pays the bill. This also means no conversation introduction of how is/was your food which is a good thing. I ordered at the bar and although needed to wait was politely informed by the tender who appeared to be working on her own. Having sat down in a quirky and enjoyable space, was reminded of a beer garden in Berlin with retro fringed lamp shades and London Langan's wall paintings without the expense and started to relax. My coffee vanilla latte arrived icy and was refreshing if not a little sweet. The great surprise of the day was the Miami Brunch with 2 poached eggs atop of salsa, beans, avocado and pickled onions with corn fritters. It hit the spot and was what the menu said it was. It nailed the South beach Miami foody vibe. Good clean healthy food. OK let's not carried away.... The Ivo Lounge probably out served, cooked and out priced the Ollie no wonder the longstanding St Ives pub stopped serving food. My family have differing dietary needs and good to see decent vegan choices. Will be back solo or not. Suggestion is outside umbrellas for those who want to shade from the sun. Thank you!

Went for the quiz and dinner. I had nasi goreng, Very nice and spicy. Pleasant efficient staff who seem happy and a good friendly atmosphere. Nicely decorated. Good quiz and host, For a chain it's very good and will go again.

We are residents of St. Ives and thought we would try this new cafe/restaurant for lunch. Service was good, food was great, there is an extensive menu on offer from light bites to main meals and a bar serving all types of alcohol. Outside seating for us as it was a fine day, but next to a pelican crossing and traffic noise but it was not too intrusive.

We decided to try a lounge that are popping up everywhere and this one has impressed us the most. The decor is lovely and gives an oldie worldie feel, to that of the art decor era, they welcome you regardless of age they also welcome well behaved dogs, much to the disgrace of one of our young people. The staff were driendly and polite without being over the top and things were explained simply as to how they do there service, which was great ro know. What surprised us the most our teenager had plenty of choice from, as there was food that was Gluten and Dairy free (this is not a life style choice but a matter of life or death for them!) The meals came out and all 6 of us had different and all came out hot and perfectly cooked, and tasted devine. And we didnt have to rob the bank. It was roughly what we would have expected to pay. Bellies full, it was time to leave, we were not rushed and had a great experience and will definitely be back, when back in St. Ives cambs. We noticed they do a quiz night so may aim to try something different to tie in for a complete night out, like real adults next! Thank you for an enjoyable couple of hours.

Had a wonderful meal at the Ivo Lounge, the service was fantastic, with great knowledgeable staff. The menu had a different feel, and veriaty too it. The atmosphere, and decor was amazing. I will be going back.

Excellent vegan menu with plenty of choice. Today we had the Buddha Bowl and it didn’t disappoint. It was delicious and flavoursome. Would definitely recommend! Ordering was quick and easy and staff were friendly.

Arrived on the Saturday morning, ordered milkshakes for the children, pricey especially when they had no whipped cream but still charge full price, no cakes either!! I can see why the cafe over the road was busy

Went in to sample the tapas Tuesday deal and to be fair the food was nice enough. The quesadillas were a bit too much of the small size, but otherwise ok, the hummus was tasty and came as a reasonable size portion, but could have come with a bit more bread. The chicken wings came as a reasonable size portion, with enough meat on them that came away from the bone easy enough. The downside was the service, or the complete lack of it. I was greeted fairly promptly on entry and taken to a table. I was then asked about allergies and that was it, no explaining how to order, or giving an overview of the menu, or even pointing out the Tuesday tapas offer, nothing else was offered at this point. Tried to order online via the details at the table, having selected the required dishes, there was no mention of the included drink, or which drinks were included. The printed menu on the table suggested house wine. It wouldn't be rocket science to point out any offers as items are added, or to give the options of the included drinks, or what was available as an upgrade and what cost. Ended up going to the bar to order, rather than having to iterate through the online order. This was no more straightforward, explained that I wanted to go for the tapas Tuesday, gave the required dishes, confirmed that was the choice of food, and was then told the cost, no questioning if any drinks were wanted, or even pointing out a drink was included, or what the options were. It was only when I asked that it was then offered. After ordering and paying it wasn't too long before the food came out and that was the last of any interactions with the staff, not that if ever felt like there was any human interactions, or service through the whole experience of being there, along with an ordering process that was intended to extract maximum money from customers, whilst making it difficult to make use of the offers used to get people through the door on the quieter days of the week.

Disappointed with my choice of Nasi Goreng. Tasted Ok but underwhelming portion for the price. Supposed to have chicken in but I didn’t see any. Service was brusque and nobody checked to see that we were happy with our meals. All in all an average dining experience at best.

Twice now whee I've been waiting 50 minutes for a breakfast because they hadn’t sent the order through. Although they were sorry they could of offered a part refund…

Went for lunch with some friends. The place was clean and staff were friendly. There's a good selection of vegan food and they seem conscious of dietary requirements. I had a mojito which is always a risk as (I like to think) I make a pretty good mojito at home, but the quality was good. Fresh ingredients were used and the balance of brown sugar to lime and mint was just right.

I have been to the Ivo Lounge approx 4 times since it opened and we always have a great time here. I have coeliac disease and I always feel safe eating here. The menu has great variety of GF options and it doesn't break the bad. The cocktails are also great at a competitive price. The food and drink quality is also very good. They do a lovely pub quiz on a Thursday. Atmosphere is nice and staff are super friendly. Dogs are allowed and there's water, treats and blankets for them. You cannot ask for more really! Would definitely recommend!

All for one and One for all … Best description of the weird bread like brunch ever . I’ve ordered Miami brunch and… it has as much common as Miami as Arctic with Africa … Greek Feta an some weird Mexican Bean mix with European Poached Eggs and disgusting British loaf … I want to be back for more but… Really … place stinks of dogs and frankly it was more dogs than actual customers b… Joanna

I agree dogs should not be allowed in eating areas, food average, service poor. Go across to Nuts Bistro across the road. Better menu and value, great service from friendly staff. No dogs allowed inside.

A really lovely bar/ restaurant. Dog friendly too. They provide dig water bowls and dog treats! The staff are really friendly and it's great service. Food comes quickly and is really lovely too! We've been numerous times and love it there. There's a great atmosphere and vibe! The manager is brilliant- very welcoming and goes beyond duty to make sure everything is OK. I always think that if management is good then it trickles down to staff and makes for a friendly vibrant atmosphere. A great place to take family too, there are highchairs colouring sheets and crayons. A fab new addition to St Ives!

Recently my partner and a friend visited this café for a light lunch and ordered the ‘Mug of Soup and half a pannini offering’ After 10 minutes their order was taken and 30 minutes later their lunch appeared, total wait time 40 minutes. Not exactly fast food or even fairly quick food. Her friend sent her soup back as it had a strange taste and inedible. It was replaced with another variety. However it rather spoiled the visit. In addition to the above she described the Lounge as a large one room café, high prices with many tables very close together and with a high noise level making communications difficult. Another day I thought I would try the place and asked to be seated in an area where dogs were not allowed. I was informed dogs are allowed in all areas. I declined to go in as eating with animals is not for me. The Lounge say ‘we are dog friendly’ and totally ignore totally those of us who just do not want to share our eating and social space with animals. Apart from dogs being smelly and noisy as they whimper to their owners for scraps of food from the table dogs are a significant reservoir for zoonotic infections. They have no awareness of personal hygiene to stop the spread of germs and infections but yet they are welcomed into restaurants and in close proximity to humans? Just can’t see the attraction of eating fish and chips while beside me is a dog licking its bits…as they do. Hopefully the competition from the Lounge may have Wetherspoons raise their game with regard to service and food! A bonus from Wetherspoons is, they don’t allow in dogs.

Been here a few times now and the food and service is good, very similar to what you’d expect from others in the chain. Food perhaps a little slow but nothing major.

Been in 4 times since it opened, including the first weekend, excellent service. The restaurant was busy every time and staff clearly working hard and well organised. Food served hot and well presented, tried a number of dishes now, shakshuka and lamb flat bread is amazing! It is quite noisy inside, but that adds to the vibrant atmosphere. Haven’t managed to join the WiFi, and signal can be sketchy, but managed to order online, if not bar order is available. Staff are welcoming and friendly. We have been during the day for lunch, so can’t comment on the evening.. I would highly recommend.

The food is amazing. The staff are great. The place looks fantastic. The only thing that lets it down is the fact that it’s dog friendly. I’m a dog owner myself and not against dogs, but do not appreciate having other peoples dogs around me...

Visited for breakfast. The Big Lounge Breakfast was really big, tasty and filling. The pancakes were also great. Service was friendly. All in all a really good experience and we will definitely be returning.
