The service was fantastic and the food outstanding. Lewis and his team are very professional and he did a great job. I would highly recommend this restaurant 😉

The restaurant was reasonably busy on a Saturday lunchtime, but having to wait an hour and a half for a very simple meal to arrive is stretching the Italian dining experience to the limit! And during that time not one member of staff gave us an update or an apology. Pretty poor... Anyway, on the plus side, when the food finally landed it was rather good. Especially my parmo which was spot on. Just don't pop in here if you are in a hurry.

Had a lovely night here with some lovely work colleagues. Brilliant place for a catch up. I had the vegetarian Mediterranean tart and chose seasonal veg and new potatoes. The tart was delicious but when my veg arrived there was no potatoes. When I queried this I was told that they had run out, unfortunately I wasn't offered any replacement. Others had chunky chips and roast potatoes so any would have done. Apart from this I cannot complain as it was lovely. I had red velvet berry cheesecake for dessert which was melt in the mouth delicious. Shout out to Lewis and the rest of the staff fur being so attentive. We had our Christmas meal here last year and have not been disappointed. I will definitely be visiting again. It is a lovely place for a catch up and I'm pleased that they could accommodate our party as the poachers pocket said our party of 8 was too large, so thank you very much for a lovely night.

A lovely catch up with the girls here tonight, food and service was great. Shout out to Keane and Nile for being patient with us, as we had 25 years to catch up on, and were rather slow at ordering and eating! We'll definitely come back.

Worst meal I have ever had. Waited well over an hour for our food, group of 5 of us and not one of us enjoyed our meal. I usually eat all my food but left well over half of it so just shows how bad it was. Maybe we should of all had Italian food.

Came here as I was staying at the Days Inn just up the road with with. It was worth the 15 min walk down the road. Excellent food had garlic bread, pasta and chocolate fudge cake. Was all superb. Couldn't fault one thing. Even the extra touches such as offering parnasan. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Especially Charlie who went the extra mile for me. Well worth a visit !!

I ordered a steak sandwich for lunch. I was informed that the usual baguettes weren’t available so it would be toasted sour dough bread. I waited almost an hour for this meal and when it arrived the bottom piece of toast was basically a piece a greasy charcoal! It was completely black and I noticed the awful smell of it before I started eating it. I complained to the young lad serving us and was offered another meal but didn’t have time to wait another hour so I asked him to just take the cremated piece of toast away. The small amount of steak in the sandwich was very dry also. Other people in the pub were also complaining of the lengthy wait for their food. We won’t be returning!

We recently booked here for Sunday lunch with the family after our son’s christening. There was 20 of us and it went off without a hitch. From booking, the manager waited back after his shift while we ate that night too, to organising our preorder and having the tables ready for our arrival it was super. The recent renovations are great, the restaurant looks more open and loads more spacious… looking good! The Sunday lunch is one of the best around. I also really enjoy the Meatball and Mozzerella sandwich from the lunchtime menu. Good food, good service and good setting. What more could you ask for?

Food was lovely and very reasonably priced. All saff provided great service and were very attentive throughout the meal. We headed to the bar after our meal for bingo. It was a great night, lots of prizes to be won, with snacks half way through. I will definitely be returning.

Met my sister there for a lovely little Birthday tea. The food was good and very good value for money off the Happy Hour menu and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Absolutely loved my first visit this week for my sisters birthday lunch out. Food was amazing and such good value ordering from the happy hour menu. Cocktails were also great value and lots of choice. Definitely will be going back again.

Have visited the restaurant on and off over the years when visiting family in the NE. Food has always been great, the service less so, however this time there was a noteable change in the service levels - it was excellent. As usual the food was superb, excellent value and really good quality. The new manager has transformed the service, the Italian Farmhouse is a real gem of a place We’ll done to all, and thanks for a great evening.

I recently attended here with friends and it was a bad experience from the beginning to the end. Prior to our visit, we called to enquire about the gluten free choices. The girl who answered the phone didn't have a clue and could be considered to be quite blunt. We went anyway. When we got there, at first glance the restaurant is decorated very quirky and cosy, however at a closer look it was very dirty. There was cutlery on the table which looked like they may have been cleaned, however there was dried bits of food left on and the table was very grubby.

It's a shame there are some negative reviews because we couldn't find fault with the place. 4 of us ate here and couldn't fault the service, attention, and food, especially the food. We started with 3 of us having mushroom topped with goats cheese and my husband had brochette. Then two of us had garlic chicken along with other bits in the dish, rigatoni and asparagus, my husband had meatballs in a tomato sauce with spaghetti and the 4th person had belly pork. We were all stuffed. The food was lovely and so hot.

Visited today for lunch and won’t be rushing to return. Service was incredibly slow, we must have waited a good 20 minutes for our plates to be cleared. No cream served with dessert despite it being ordered. Coke served in dirty glasses. Staff looked bored and miserable. Far better places to eat in the village.

This is a place we have used regularly for quite a few years, was there last night for our tea.A group of 10 who came away very unhappy, starter was nice, main meals were an absolute joke. A few of us ordered steak which either comes with veg or chips, the steaks came 5 minutes before chips, the veg came at least 10 minutes after the steak. When the veg came the 2 people who ordered veg asked for the steak to be warmed up and the manager was not happy and his attitude was terrible, last visit to this place unfortunately,yes people make mistakes but attitude towards customers has to be a lot better.

Ordered a coke at 7.40. gave up at 7.52. Slow service. Barman throwing about the F word like it's going out of fashion. Never again.
