Istanbul Kebab House in Stratford-on-Avon

Ordered a delivery after about 1hr 30 mins still not arrived , then got a call from them asking why I haven’t picked my order up I said ordered on line for delivery, they then delivered and the meal was stone cold , avoid this place at all cost , terrible service

Great food as usual. But service tonight REALLY let you down. It was rubbish service. Your payment link wasn't working... I didn't mind this... technology issues happen. What I didn't like was that the people I spoke to on the phone clearly didn't have time for me and kept cutting me short. After an hour the food hadn't arrived (never had this problem with you before, even on a Saturday night)... when I called to see where the delivery was (after more than an hour) you told me you had the order and abruptly put the phone down. So I called back to see where it was and you barked 'give it 10 to 15 minutes, it's with the driver!'. When the food came it was tasty, but the pitta was over cooked and the salad under the kebab and not in it. Disappointed as we've previously been pleased. Reviewing on here to help you. Clearly calling to give you feedback would result in the phone being put down. Feel sorry for the driver who got no tip today.

Really bad kebabs, delivered with all ingredients separated, cold pitta not even cut open, lamb hard dry and cold lumps, sauce tasted of sour cream not garlic sauce as I had ordered, all went in the bin, telephoned to complain, couldn’t care less, won’t be using again!

I think this place has changed hands recently but the food has gone rapidly downhill. Bring back the old owners. Half of our meal got put in the bin as it was too dry to eat. They forgot our sauces and I'm out of pocket. Poorly presented food. Couldn't swallow it because it was that dry. Never again.

Ordered my kebab/chicken and waited patiently for it to get cooked, noticed other people coming in and being served after me and getting there food before me, the first 3 times where okay but when it got to 10 mins and I was being told 2 minutes and waited an extra 10-20 that took it too far.

Don’t even bother going to this kebab shop been here over 4”5 times it’s always bad each time evertime I’ve gave them the benefit of the doubt to many times food is shiteeeeeee and I had to wait 2 hours for my delivery don’t waste your time and money

Los kebabs están bien y también lo son las papas fritas, nada más en el menú vale la pena, ve a otro lugar, ya sea una pizza de tomate rápida o una kebab de Stratford.

We were a family 4 staying 2 nights in a hotel just outside the town. We were looking somewhere to eat Turkish kebabs. And after googling this place came up as a recommendarion. We had 2x lamb koftes, donner wrap, kebab meat in tray, onion rings, 2 soft drinks, 2 waters. The meals come with chips & salad. We ate there. Our bill was about £28. Price aside food was delicious. We were expecting to pay more so when the bill came we were pleasently surprised. Best Regards, Sohail Riaz & Family.

The best kebabs in town, Great hospitality, The food and service was incredible, Big salads, Rice and mixed kebab meats are a must try. If you are looking for a proper turkish kebab or pizza this is the place to go for a great takeaway or eat in.

I ordered a take away from here using the Just Eat app when I was staying at a hotel in Stratford Upon Avon. The delivery guy forgot to give half the order, so he had to return to his car to get the rest of the food. The food portion size was reasonable. I ordered a chicken shish kebab with chips, salad, garlic sauce and drink. The kebab itself was a little bland. They put the meat in basic supermarket made pitta bread.

The food is always cooked to order, and good sized portions, it's a busy takeaway, the phone never stops for delivery orders. Great guys and very friendly. Great food.

Over priced for what can only be described as shocking portion sizes. Medium chicken shish kebab with 4 bits of chicken and a large doner that was over five pounds with 7 strands of meat if we were lucky. Used to go there when it first opened but stopped because of price and portion size, decided to give them another go but it has got worse beyond belief. Won't ever go back there and I think judging by other reviews most people are voting with they're feet. Avoid at all costs.

La orden llegó mucho más tarde de lo esperado (1 hora en vez de 30 minutos) y por lo tanto la comida estaba fría. Además de esto, la orden estaba equivocada. No pusieron salsa en uno de los añadidos y pedimos una envoltura tener sólo lechuga aún cubierto con otras ensaladas. Además, el kebab parecía tener la salsa de ajo en lugar de equivocada (mayo). El número de errores que hicieron que no era aceptable. La única cosa que mantiene esto de ser una estrella es que he tenido una experiencia más positiva en el pasado reciente, pero mi orden era una estrella.

Don even bother, worst ever, staff are rude and don't deserve the business. Go somewhere else where they want to serve you nice food and look after customers. Worst kebab house ever!!!!!

We eat here at least twice a month and the quality of food is brilliant. The lamb doner is a must if you haven't tried it. Friendly staff, clean restaurant and great food. It has become our local family business.

Called in here for a donner kebab and chips just before midnight on Saturday night, not expecting anything special, after seeing some of the previous reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The kebab meat and salad was fresh and tasty and the staff were friendly.There were a number of different types of kebabs in the chiller which also looked freshly prepared.I would use them again when I am next in the area, based on this visit.

We ordered 5 Kebabs with salad and pitta bread to take away over the phone then went to collect When we home all we got was 5 Kebabs NO SALAD AND NO PITTA BREAD !!!!Tried to phone to complain but No answer SO I WOULD NOT RECAMEND (its not the first time this has happened) but thought we would give it another go

We have had pizza delivery from here twice on a recommendation from a friend and they have not dissapointed! Because of fussy eaters we've had split pizza's with 2 half's with difference toppings - no problem! Delivery was quick, food was hot, bill not ridiculous. The pizza's are cooked properly, the toppings are really generous and what we love the most, not dripping with greese. Thank you - keep doing what your doing. Big thumbs up from us!

It use to be a good kebab house, but since new management came few months ago they serve crap. I've ordered mix kebab. Chicken meat was with chicken skins inside, all full of FAT - not eatable. Doner meat was dry and hard as wooden off cuts - not possible to eat - all landed in a bin. When I call them to give my feedback which was my third complain over last few months management was rude and not helpful at all. Please AVOID unless you are shiteater.

The kabab wraps are amazing. There the tastes iv had in year's I would highly recommend this place. The staff are so pleasant and helpful. It will be my first choice when we go back to Stratford upon Avon

케밥은 한국, 독일, 오스트리아에서 먹어봤지만... 이집이 제일 맛없네요. 좀 음식들이 전반적으로 짭니다. 주변분들은 많이 오시는 것 같던데, 그다지 땡기는 맛은 아니네요. 전통 케밥을 못먹어봐서 그런건지... 추천하고 싶지는 않습니다.

THE MOST DISGUSTING takeaway ever ordered!!!!!! Please never order from this takeaway. We ordered a shish kebab which came a a few lumps of grizzly meat and a chicken pitta which can only be described as crap they scooped off the floor!!! After calling to say we were not happy TWICE we were refused the name of the manager and refused a refund (apparently only because we said the food was rubbish!) If we had been complimentary about the food we would have been offered this? ?? The lad called Shak was completely unapologetic and incredibly rude!!!!! Sometimes people need to admit they got it WRONG!!!!!! £13 refund I would have thought was a small price to pay for not gaining a BAD REPUTATION but let's see what the not to be named manager thinks about that!! Pictures and bad reviews have been uploaded onto local Facebook so perhaps the staff need a lesson on customer service!!

Have popped in a few times over recent weeks and have really enjoyed our meals.It's good to see everything cooked before you and to have the option of separate salad.The staff have always been polite and friendly.Haven't done a late night visit so can't comment on that side of things.

We ordered a takeaway from here, service was good, and the food was ok for its price. Fed the whole family for just over a ten a and the kids loved the fact I didn't force them to add veg with their meal!

We have had a takeaway delivery from Istanbul Kebab House twice now - both times the chicken sheesh (unsure of spelling) kebab, salad, & onion rings have been delicious. Cooked perfectly, moist and delivery time has always been spot on. Would recommend for quick, filling & tasty delivery!

Meal arrived not at Time we ordered, partly cold. Very poor portions and also had to pay a delivery charge that was not already added to fiod total.

Food arrived lovely and hot and was great quality. Really enjoyed the good and was value for money. Had kebabs from here which I was really impressed with and am glad to say that the pizzas are just as good. Will definitely use again.

Burgers were plain, they needed an option of sauces and salads. Chips need a option of salt and vinegar. Dips are overpriced for what you get. Chicken nuggets were dry. Overall, not ordering from here again.

I have recently discovered Istanbul the food is lovely. Fries that are cooked well not pale and greasy like others. I love the chicken shish kebab and that the salad is put separately so you can add on and your found is not soggy always delivered in time and the correct order.

I've had a few takeaways in my time and they've petrified me how disgusting they were however this one is the best in Stratford. Nice friendly service. Quicker than expected. Very nice food. None of this dripping with greas!! 5 stars all round

I ordered shish kebab and chips as a delivery, what i found in my bag, was few pieces of meat that was dry and hard as a rock, they even did not bother to put any sauce AT ALL...they give me chips as well with no salt or nothing, just bare cut potatoes... I felt like a dog eating garbage literally, and i throw away about 15 pounds basically for this garbage...

Order was incorrect, chips included in the same box as chicken meat. Partner ordered a drink that didn't arrive. Avoid.

Me & my colleague come from Solihull to visit this place. Parking across the road you have to pay for it.We usually choose Lamb tikka, fries & small naan with salad. We absolutely love the taste. Tad expensive at about £8.50 but worth the taste. Nice people and cosmopolitan place. Avoid the pizzas though. If you want to taste Turkish food come here & order turkish food.

Would normally go to the Kebab House but seeing as these deliver I thought we'd give them a go. We had a chicken Shish and a Lamb Shish. Both were cooked to perfection and served with plenty of fresh salad and a pitta. I'm not usually a fan of chilli sauce but the guy said he'd give me some to try for free as it was homemade and very good-he was right! Not overpowering, just the right amount of kick to it. Both meats were tender and full of flavour, definitely as good as the Kebab House. Even the donner kebabs which are also homemade looked really appetising and will definitely use them again in the future.

I have lived in big city's all my life and have been 2 many takeaways good and bad over the years. And I can fully recommend Istanbul takeaway! The food is delicious and plenty off. The guys in the shop are so helpful and friendly. This has got to be the best takeaway I have been to. I challenge u to eat a full donner wrap! Pedimos um kebab misto e um de carne, mas um só para os dois já estaria de bom tamanho, pois é muito farto. O lugar é bem simples, estilo lanchonete, mas a comida é deliciosa e barata. O atendimento do turco, dono do estabelecimento, também foi muito bom.

Have used these guys as a great take away option when in a rush or late from the office. Called this evening and tried to order a meal deal, wanted to upgrade the chips to large so I could share them and was told I would have to lay the full price for large chips! Not the price difference between small chips and large chips. Attempted to negotiate and asked if he was the manager, to my surprise he said yes so I said fine I will take my business elsewhere... To which he said "your choice". Well business must be great if they can turn it away... Best of luck

Have eaten here twice recently when just needed something quick and filling. Both times I have had the kebab wrap which is so big I struggle to finish and priced under £4 it is very reasonable. My husband has tried the Donner Kebab which again was huge. The meat is all fresh not dried up like it is sometimes and not kept warm in a steamer either. My son tried one of their Tuna pizzas and the smell was lovely and he ate 3/4 of it as again very filling, but freshly made to order and lots of filling on it. For a takeaway it is great and will certainly use again.

After using this takeaway service numerous times, I was sadly disappointed by the false advertising, they advertise children's meals that come with a lolly pop, after ordering the child's chicken nugget meal 3 time and it not coming with lolly pop or a substite I then asked them on tele phone if they had no lolly pops could they please send a ice cream!! Rudley I was told "I'm the manager and we don't do that." Distrusting false advertising when u have a 3yr old that expects what they see in the picture is bad business!!

Came across this place late at night on the way back to our hotel. Fancied a bite to eat and this looked like a decent place. Fresh meat kebabs all ready to cook. Nice and clean, friendly staff and very nice food
