Istanbul Kebab House in Dacorum

Ordered from here tonight! Was told 45 mins for delivery took 1 hour and 10 mins.. food was stone cold upon arrival. Called the shop and they said it can't be. I said if it wasn't cold I'd be eating it wouldn't I. Did not other a refund or to send new one out! Worse service I've experienced from a kebab place avoid at all cost !

I had the combo 2 with shish lamb & chicken, with a grilled wrap & salad on the side and cheesey chips. It tasted as good as it smelt

Food ordered was decent however poor value for money unfortunately. The extra large donner is a medium size at best and requests made such as separate sauces not followed.

Went here today, food was piping hot and delicious, great prices for their big burger deal and a polite man at the till.

We waited 2hours for our food and when it arrived it was the wrong order and completely cold . Disappointed in the whole thing .

Ripped off and possibly got food poisoning. Lamb doner was possibly the worst I've ever had. It was cold, dripping, and limp. Salad was slushy too and pita was completely soaked through. Had to stop after a few mouthfuls and now feel sick the next morning. And when I got home I noticed they charged me £10 when the menu on their wall says it should have been £8.50. (It says on the wall that they don't accept card but then they told me they do and it just says that to stop children paying for £2 chips on card because every card payment vista them 30p). Chips were actually pretty nice.

Food overall is pretty good for the price and you always get a good serving. Arrives fast and well packed. Lamb Doner can be hit or miss though as sometimes you'll get one and it will be sat in a pool of its own grease/juices.

I just ordered through just eat. A donner and all I received was a box of flipping chicken!!!!!! No call to let me know nothing. If that was the case I wouldn’t of ordered from here

I do not recommend food is always delivered cold. in the kebab I have more onions than meat they don't deliver the whole order they always miss something they forget and they paid for it today they left the missing kebab at my door and I went if I didn't call again he would still be there

Just been in and spent £25 on two XL mixed kebabs and chips . Well what a disappointment. Got it home and there is not alot of meat at all . Had to dig to find the doner meat and they forgot my pots of sauce . So it's been binned. Been going to Istanbul for last few years . I will never go in there again .

The food is nice but I just rang for an order and the man on the phone is very rude and abrupt!

Ordered salad in pitta, received no onion, no red cabbage and no tomato. Wet lettuce and cucumber is not a sald in pitta. Also, the "large" chicken shish has shrunk considerably since we last ordered a few weeks ago. The thin crust pizza was no different from the depe pan. As a loyal customer we were very disappointed. Will be looking for a new take away.

Need to keep his shop clean and customer table as well. Cut doner kept cold and reheated (illegal and unprofessional). Ignoring customers suggestions. Large and generous quantity of doner though.

Just had a delivery from Istanbul but it was cold. Told a re delivery would be 20 mins that was 1 hour ago never turned up. Call them just to be told go through Just Eat. I said no I want a new order I was told to F**k O** really! Don’t use them ever!!! 😡😡😡

Not even worthy of 1 star in opinion- gave me a stomach ache and undercooked.

Friendly staff great food would recommend Istanbul kebab to everyone never had a bad meal

I have had three orders from here now. The mixed kebab of doner and chicken sish was large and really tasty. You are able to select on line the salad that you want and sauces. The hummus will easily feed two and again is lovely. It seems homemade. Delivery was very prompt and it is a Friday in lockdown. 30 mins from order.

Spot on kebabs. Always fresh, the salad is on point, and the meat is fresh. Cooked well, without making it tough or rubbery. Plenty of it too. A solid reliable kebab shop.

They are fresh, cooked properly without being rubbery. Salad is well fresh. There’s lots of it! The cheesy chips are actually cheesy; with lots of cheese on them. Deliveries arrive fast.

Its ok but i was order large kebab for 7.50 without chips.And was small no worth price at all.So guys don't order large one just small or normal.

Decided not buy from here in view of their recent (Sept 2020) very low Food Hygiene Rating of 1 out of 5, stating Major Improvement Necessary. See photo.

Chicken cooked well without being rubbery. A really good mix on and selection on mixed kebabs. Salad is fresh Sauces tasty. Really decent size portions. Deliveries arrive quickly and at hot.

So dissapointed of delivery guy who was too lazy to get up the stairs with food . He said he don't want to get out off the car when he has been on car park . We decided to send him back with food .

Chicken Donner, Lamb Kofte and half pounders are my recommendations

If I could give a 0 star rating I would The lamb was burnt and tasteless It looked like someone had poured a bottle of oil into the packaging and laid the pitta bread into it, then more oil There was more cabbage then there was lamb As for the chips they were greasy overcooked and just awful Will not be using these again

I have never been let down by these guys, they are always either early or on time. Every time I order I know everything shall arrive warm and yummy with no problems. They are helpful on the phone and when delivering, thank you for your kindness as always and great service.

I am highly disappointed with the quality of food served. (they deserve no star at all. I only put the one star because I could not post this without it). The food was worthless spending my money on it. I mentioned spicy and they did not add salt at all, the spices are in the vegetables, such that you cannot eat them and then the kebab that should have the spices is very tasteless. The quantity of salad, which I did not ask for is way a lot than the kebab I ordered. Just about 5pieces of tasteless lamb and chicken shish, each worth over 6pounds. Useless!! another thing, they said meal will be delivered between 30-45minutes and the restaurant is just 10minutes walk to my house, yet, they delivered my meal after more than 2hours. Lastly, the fish and chips I ordered was so stale, tasteless and was nothing like chips.

Was staying in near by hotel on my own Son wanted pizza so found this and ordered The gentleman who answered phone was polite and friendly Pizzas came 50 mins later driver had parked near hotel door as was pouring rain Thanks if in area def use again pizzas were lovely hot filling x

I feel this is the best take away in the area by far , food is always superb big portions superb service , wouldn’t use anyone else . If you want good food at good prices this is the place , can’t recommend more highly . Happy to tell everyone I know to order from here A++++++++++++++

Food was super cold as if it came out of a fridge I understand that the food isn’t going to be boiling hot, and should have a certain temperature to it. Also had to wait over an hour for food to arrive. They obviously precook the fries and heat them when needed which makes them go horrible and soggy🤢. Used the just eat app and it said en route 20 mins before it arrive, it doesn’t take 20 mins to drive from Bennett’s end to town centre??

Seems to be very difficult for them to get an order right, and delivered within an hour. Called up to ask for the rest of my order to be called a liar!!

Never had any issues.. long overdue nothing but high praise for this establishment. The large chicken mixed shisk is a gulity pleasure.. well done keep it up

We ordered from this place many times before, but this time the food was absolutely disgusting, we ended up binning the lot. Chicken doner was 95% skin and fat. And, as an added bonus, instead of 1.5l bottle of drink that we paid for, we got a can. Will not be ordering again

This place is a joke. Every single time I've been here they have no chips ready. I place my order then they decide to put chips in the fryer which takes 10-15 minutes. You don't even get told of the wait. It's just silence from their end

as a family we will be using Istanbul kebabs again and again. food quality 5* food quantity 5* we ordered 3 kebabs and a special extra. we collected the staff were busy cooking and taking orders,

Decent food and friendly service - they have good deals on buy-one get-one-free pizza's. They get busy at peak times and sometimes you have a bit of a wait even if you've phoned in advance.
