Very tasteful and authentic food

Early bird menu is fantastic value for money, great service too.

Food NEVER fails. Always fresh, delicious and great portions. The sea bass is always my go to and to finish it off with the poached pear is just marvellous. The staff is also lovely too, Mehmet is very kind and accommodating. I can confidently say this is one of best restaurants in Royton, you can tell there is thought behind the food and its preparation. Always a pleasure to dine when in Royton.

I was expecting it to be fantastic going of the other reviews but was left underwhelmed, the place is nice, clean and tidy, the staff are friendly however not brilliant at their job, the food was tasty and well presented but some was obviously bought from a wholesalers pre made (pizza/garlic bread base's for example)

Very enjoyable and a great evening. We visited daughter who lives in Royton so she booked for us all to go to The Istanbul. After a disastrous meal we had in Turkey years ago we had our doubts about this evening but were willing to give it a go on her recommendation. We started in the cocktail bar and enjoyed the cocktails. Then moved down to the restaurant. Husband and i went for the Bodrum and it was delicious. Service was spot on and the staff was very friendly. We would go again on a future visit to Royton.

Had a great dinner here last night, the food was delicious, the staff was very friendly and at the end of the night we got to meet with the head chef Ozan, who was very kind and nice to talk to. Thanks for your great hospitality and delicious food Ozan! Can’t wait to be back here.

Lovely authentic Turkish food. Staff friendly and helpful, particularly Gem (not sure about the spelling), he was really nice to deal with. Atmosphere and decor takes you back to Turkey.

There was 14 of us, and we all said the same thing about the meal it was amazing, the staff were friendly and very quick to serve our food.

Visited 1st time for a while, the food was lovely, bit of a mix up with order at first was sorted quickly with apologies and dessert and coffees on house ( TBH think the mix up was 50 percent my fault as well) will we visit again YES without a doubt,

Extremely overpriced. Food wasnt worth what you pay and it came out alarmingly quick which is never a good signb if you ask me. Napkins were not fully dried so don't know why they had been put out. Decor is lovely. First time trying and won't be going back.

Went to celebrate my leapyear birthday with my family. Went for cocktails first at Momo's, which was also brilliant - lovely place and lovely bar staff. Never had a mocktail before but would definitely recommend it - I had a Summer Love - delicious 😋 Staff at Istanblue couldn't have been better, very friendly. Atmosphere perfect - lovely atmospheric low lighting - lovely decor and the music was excellent. The food was also excellent - my family enjoyed various dishes - they loved the pepper hummus, Kofte and Tavuk Shish, I can't remember the names of all the dishes but they were all delicious 😋. I had a Margherita pizza with mushrooms which was perfect. At the end of the meal I ordered the fudge cake - we had told them it was my birthday - 29 February - so it came complete with birthday music, singing, and a dried ice spectacular 🎇..thank you Istanblue 🥰 - it made my day. Very attentive and accommodating staff...we will definitely be going back and recommending them to all our friends 🎂🎉❤️🍸

Excellent authentic Turkish food, very busy but service was brilliant. Suggest booking beforehand. Price reasonable for what you get, portions more than adequate, I was stuffed and I have a big appetite. Bill came to £95 but with a bottle of wine included and drinks beforehand

Absolutely phenomenal! We had the mixed grill for two and it was by far some of the nicest meat I’ve ever tasted. So tender and very well marinated. If your a meat lover this place is an absolute must!

Visit Istanblue fairly regularly as we live local and have to say it’s always a delightful experience. Food is tasty, staff are really welcoming and attentive and there is an all round great atmosphere.

Went for a catch up with a friend and the staff were lovely and not pushy or trying to rush us. Food was excellent and reasonably priced.

Cant fault it, everything was good, everyone of our group of 6 enjoyed it, service was ok and price was normal. i would go again.

Really enjoyable evening. Food was lovely. Service was great, even when we had a few young children who can be a handful. Staff even brought out some dry ice to create steam to entertain the kids. Really happy with the experience.

Myself and my Mum and Dad went to Istanblue for an early birthday, evening meal on Tuesday 22nd August 2023. Upon arrival there was plenty of free parking behind the restaurant and we were seated immediately and asked if we'd like a window seat. Perfect 👍 We were handed some menus and left for a bit to browse. When the waitress came to take our order she couldn't understand a word my Dad was saying and he had to repeat himself for everything he ordered. Our drinks and starters arrived in decent time and the fungi stufati (x2) (garlic mushroom), the hummus (x1) and the cheesy garlic bread we had were delicious 😋 (we ended up waiting for the garlic bread but no biggy) Moving onto the main course is where everything fell apart. I'd ordered the pollo a la crema (chicken and mushrooms in a cream sauce) and both Mum and Dad ordered a Bodrum each (slices of sirloin steak with a potato rosti style base and a spicy tomato sauce and yogurt dressing). What arrived at the table was two pollo a la cremas and one Bodrum. (In hindsight we should've just accepted that as Mum was torn between them both) however, we told them about the incorrect food and they went away with one pollo a la crema and made another Bodrum. Took a while but nonetheless Dad got his Bodrum in the end. The downside was it was incredibly salty. My pollo a la crema was really nice, however both Bodrums were a disappointment. The steak was full of fat and it was really chewy and definitely overcooked. For what we got it was totally overpriced. £138 for 3 starters, 3 mains and 4 drinks! When you go out for a birthday meal you expect it to be all nice, and not feel guilty that my parents didn't enjoy their food. Never even bothered ordering dessert (which we would've done) because my Mum and Dad had given up on the quality of the food. You lost a Christmas Do booking (approx 12 people) after this. Can't say it was busy either as you only had 4 tables in.

It's the most expensive restaurant I know in this area (Royton, Oldham, Rochdale), but the food is amazing. Wish I could afford to visit more often 😀

Absolutely Amazing everything was fabulous the food was unbelievable myself and my wife had a share platter main that was outstanding it came with rice bread lamb chops chicken steak kebabs strips of steak and we couldn't eat it all and we like food lol the staff couldn't help enough and we were in a big party of people and the food came quite quick so if your looking for a place to go for amazing food and a lovely atmosphere I highly recommend this place
