Came with family for a birthday dinner. The restaurant was busy (turning people away) but the service was very good and efficient. The food was great - really fresh and delicious. We enjoyed everything. We will definitely be back!

We went for a meal for my birthday. We wanted the food to all come out together rather than starters and mains. The waitress was a bit funny about it, especially as we were the only table in at the time (it was early). Last time I ate here it was no trouble - and that was peak time! That was the only negative I could say. The gentleman who served us was super friendly but not over bearing. The food was top class, made us feel like we were back at a seafront taverna in Greece! Really good value too! I’m just sad that it’s so far from where I live. I would definitely be a regular customer!

We popped into Island for the first time yesterday for pre-show food. We adore Greek food and had high hopes which were not only met, but exceeded. We received a warm greeting and were told the details of Saturday's maze menu which was delicious. Ice cold Mythos was the perfect accompaniment to our delicious meal. The icing on the cake were the staff who were all so friendly and helpful. We go on holiday to Greece again soon and I'm certain we will struggle to find a better meal while there.

Visited Island restaurant again while we were staying in Worcester. This is my third time coming to the restaurant, and I wasn’t disappointed. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Our food was delicious and cooked beautifully. I had the beef stifado, and the meat was so tender. We’ll definitely be back when we’re next in Worcester.

I came with a friend to Worcester for a brief visit and saw this place on trip advisor. We just managed to get a table because we went fairly early. We were greeted by very friendly staff and Alex the boss, they were very attentive and the food came out pretty quick. We had a few different dishes and all were delicious. Me being Greek and fussy couldn’t fault it at all. Would recommend it to anyone. Well done guys.

This brought back memories of sailing holidays on the ionian sea. Lovely food; great service ;great wine. V authentic Greek food.

Last minute booking to celebrate my other half’s birthday. The restaurant is busy and rightly so, but they managed to squeeze us in. We received a very warm welcome from the moment we stepped through the door and was quickly shown to our table. The menu has lots to offer, and it really was difficult to make a choice, but at least that gives me a reason to keep going back! We had spicy sausage and calamari for starters followed by Kleftiko for main…. I’ve never had so much flavour packed in to one dish, it was absolutely delicious. Dessert was orange yoghurt cake and a Greek coffee, which was accurately described by the waitress as being like a punch to the face 😆😆 We really enjoyed our visit tonight, thanks to the staff for such a friendly and warm experience, we look forward to visiting again soon.

First visit to this well praised Greek style restaurant. We got there early before a show and lucky we did as it was fully booked for an hour or so later but were fitted in. Excellent staff who I assumed were family. The treated us like friends and served us with tasty starters and main courses. I had fresh mussels with whole sea bream for main course and my wife enjoyed Melitzanosakata then moussaka all of which was enjoyed. Fully booked so we soon finished having enjoyed the meal

Great food in good quantities, good value for money and a convenient location. Guisell looked after us perfectly but both the front of house staff were brilliant hosts. Well done and thanks to them and to the kitchen staff. Highly recommended.

We moved to Worcester from London yesterday, after a stressful and exhausting day we stumbled upon The Island almost before closing time. Luckily we were accommodated, the food was amazing I had a small (not small) platter while my partner had lamb chops dish. Our waitress Ghisella (sorry if I misspelled her name) was delightful and amazing. She’s a young lady who will go far! Everything was great! We will definitely be back!

Very good Greek restaurant, friendly staff. Loved the starter, spicy sausage and the Kleftico & moussaka for main with bottle of red wine. Did not have room for pud. Will visit next time we are in Worcester.

Had a fabulous meal here tonight. The hummus, taramasalata, and tzatziki dips with pitta bread were a delicious starter. The fish was fresh, so were salads and souvlaki. We saw other meals coming out of the kitchen which were well presented and all looked freshly cooked. Spotlessly clean. Service professional and helpful with menu/wine choices. Could not fault this place. An amazing find, well worth the short walk out of the town centre!!!

Lovely food and fantastic service. Small independent restaurant with a personal touch. Food was delicious with the lamb chop and sea bream dishes of particular note. Authentic flavours and reasonable prices. We were visitors to Worcester but will definitely come again if we return to the area. Booking required to ensure a table. Thank you Island restaurant!

Fabulous. We went this evening with our friends. Been meaning to visit for ages. Wow!! The food was amazing. The care taken over, the filleting of the fish was so kind. Staff 10/10. Thankyou we will be back.

We booked for our sons 21st birthday meal and we had a fantastic time. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming, they couldn't do enough for you. The food is to die for. We will definitely be back.

Came to visit a dear friend of mine in Worcester for the week. My friend made a reservation for the Island 2 months in advance (moment I told her I’d be visiting) and was ever so excited for me to try the food. I had heard her rave about it before as she’s been a regular since it’s opening but I still didn’t know what to expect as I’m quite the picky eater when it comes to Greek cuisine. From my experience it’s been very difficult to find a Greek restaurant in the UK that gets it just right. Let me tell you though, this place exceeded my expectations by a million miles. The flavours, atmosphere and music made me reminisce deeply about my Greek island hopping days. It was almost like dejavu. The tzatziki, keftedakia, calamari and fried feta with honey were to die for. Of course for my main dish I chose my all time favourite, mousaka…just WOW. And finally for dessert I had the portokalopita! Highly recommended by the ever so kind and hospitable owner of the Island, Alex. What an experience, I won’t lie, it made me tear up a little and I think I’m going to need to book a ticket back to Greece ASAP. Well done Alex, Guiselle and family, I cannot wait to visit again. Efcharisto poli…yamas!
