The lattes were delicious! We tried both of the salads available that day. They very tasty and hearty, and kept us full for a big day of exploring London. Love that everything was fresh and that lots of healthy options were available. The location was very close to the tube station. Would definitely return on our next trip to London.

Nice little place, would visit again. Coffee defnitely worked it's magic, but I did have a large espresso with the guest beans, which was, punchy! Best part was the toasted banana cake with butter. Gurrrrggggle.

I cannot praise this place enough! Fabulous tea and coffee and wonderful accompaniments. The sourdough toast and jam is delightful, rendered all the more so by the fabulous jam which tastes deliciously home made. There is always a wonderful citation outside to cheer your day! Try it.

This was recommend in a blog post I read and when I looked it up, it was super close to our hotel. It did not disappoint. The coffee was excellent. My boyfriend had a cappuccino which he loved. I had a mocha and the chocolate was so good, not very sweet, just perfect. We had a muffin, honestly I don't know which one it was but I'm pretty sure there was rhubarb in it and it was to die for! We were there on a busy weekday morning, lots of take a way business but we sat down and had a nice relaxing breakfast. The service was okay, nothing spectacular, our drinks were brought to us but no interaction, not in a bad way. I would go back, the coffee was just excellent.

My first time trying this place. I went up to the bar and ordered my food and paid at the same time. A 12.5 per cent tip was added automatically to my bill and when I questioned it and asked if I could leave a tip at the end of my meal if the service and food were good, I was given a look of horror and a response with attitude of ‘at weekends we charge a service charge’, which I didn’t appreciate. It’s put me off returning to the place. A shame as apart from that it had a nice chilled vibe

We've been coming to Iris and June weekly for the past one year for both coffee and sometimes lunches. Our last visit, however, left us a sour taste and we'll not be back again. This is especially true since we have newer coffee options around the area these days, too. What happened was that the payment machine was acting up at the cafe, and our card was charged 10 times. For two coffee and a cake, we paid £8.90 ten times, and were still asked to pay one more time after the machine had recovered. But our bank accounts were deducted and our conversations kept getting interrupted, so we were a bit annoyed. In the end, I made the 11th payment and left the precinct. We were regular customers - the least the cafe could do was to charge us during our next visit or at least take out a coffee from the bill after we were interrupted a few times during our 20 minutes there.

I know this place is near westminster but I really felt we were in an echo chamber as everyone's conversations seemed to bounce off the walls and get amplified. Food was unusually good for anywhere near Victoria Station and well priced given its quality. Coffee was excellent. I felt the service was a bit off - didn't feel the staff were working together brilliantly and they were a bit condescending. I don't think its so unusual to expect to pay with cash? So yes its a card only place. Mixed clientele workers, tourists and families which i liked. Would definitely go again but its not a place for someone who is deaf, suffers from cocktail syndrome or wants a cosy spot for a chat - its quite glassy and cold on the inside... however the coffee alone makes this place worth a visit.

I visited for breakfast on a weekday on my first day living in London and have returned several times in the last week, a sure and certain indicator of quality. SERVICE - 4/5 - good throughout my visit, staff offered useful suggestions and were efficient at clearing tables. I got the impression the place was smoothly run. Staff are positive. FOOD - 5/5 - Almond Croissant very tasty, as is the granola and the avocado toast. Perhaps a wider range of breakfasts meals would be a point to develop. DESIGN & DECOR - 4/5 - Features a modern, stark approach with interesting stark concrete walls but actually still comfortable. VALUE FOR MONEY - 4/5 - prices very reasonable.

Great coffee but they really need to work on the service! I ordered a soy decaf latte and the milk had curd when my coffee arrived! When I sent it back I was told off by the barista saying that soy and decaf will always curd (something that’s never happened at other cafes) and I had to pay for another coffee which was absurd!!!!! If you can’t make a soy decaf coffee, you should have told me when I was ordering and not serve me a cup of coffee with curd milk!!!!

Disappointed as my friend and I wanted some savory food before taking my train. It was 11:08am, we asked for breakfast but were told it finished at 11:00, we were shown the sandwich menu. Fair enough, but when we wanted to order sandwiches, the attendant said the kitchen was not ready to prepare the sandwiches yet. So basically they couldn’t serve food. In this case I would expect the attendant to extend the breakfast time or offer some sort of solution, but the attendant didn’t seem to care. Conclusion we left, we went across the street and had a nice meal there.

It’s hard for a non-coffee drinker like me to understand why this stripped-down café is so popular; the coffee must be incredibly good?! For the teas are not the best nor the tea options abundant, food choices are adequate but not terribly exciting, the waitresses are economical with smiles, prices are slightly higher than the chain competitors, and they don’t take cash! Must be the witty daily pronouncements on the black board in front of the store, and its location as one of only two ‘high-end’ coffee shops in this area of Victoria.

I have been going to Iris & June a lot for lunch as I work nearby but I have decided to stop going after two bad experiences. The first one was finding a huge bug in my salad. The second one (I gave them another chance) was today: I got food poisoning from eating their salad, started vomiting exactly an hour after eating it. Nothing serious, thankfully, but they clearly do not wash their food. On top of that, they have been reducing (even more their portions) meaning you get a very small portion of salad to take away for 8 pounds which is pretty crazy. I used to not mind because I believe the quality was superior but I have been proven wrong. I will not go anymore and do not recommend it to anyone...

This place is probably just another cafe during the week. But I usually go at the weekend when its brunch menu changes it into a very different place. There seem to be less danishy things. The reviews here should be split between weekday and weekend.Given my age, and having long since dismissed the class system as BS, I rarely feel what's called a cultural cringe - a feeling that you don't belong in a good restaurant, an art gallery or a golf course. My parents worked hard in non-graduate jobs which is part of the reason I don't. In contrast, most of the clientele at I&J are at least two generations away from hard work. I feel no social discomfort at Michelin star restaurants because there the entrenched upper middle class, late middle aged are trying so hard and I often get the feeling that they too have stopped caring about that sort of stuff. But I&J is where their young come to relax. And to belong. And to let each other know that they belong. And they are so effortless at relaxing and belonging whereas I am not comfortable with the rules. If I am honest, and I will be, that's one of the reasons I eat there.Probably half are British so the accents give their background away - but I imagine that Chinese-American went to Yale (google is round the corner), the parents of the South America over there own plantations is Argentina. You can fill in the gaps from not having met because they do natter. No one seems to have studied civil engineering. The atmos is exposed but painted over breeze block. Cheap feeling to the furniture and the tables are closely packed. While it calls itself an artisan cafe and the EPOS is a mounted tablet with an iZettle card reader I wouldn't describe anything here as hipster. Hipsters are suburbanites made good. And the food just isn't token novelties for social media. At I&J there are a few single book readers but its not a place to plug in your device and put your head down. Its a place to be with your city located own - not your own by nation or ethnicity but your own all the same. And given the chatty nature of the other people you will have to listen to their conversations - much of it about holidays in Italy. Or finishing their international law degree. These people fly over the suburbs. Their experiences are not mine. Its not unwelcoming, its not like that. Its just... you know. Or you don't.I can recite, and actually believe, the rhetoric about inequality and the advantages in life that come from unearned privilege. But I can't deny these people do know how to eat. I have gone for their "bacon sarnie" (a phrase appropriated from working class kids) a few times. Just to look at it you know that someone has thought it out. The colour combinations of thick cut bacon - none of your essentials range pale pink - red and browned off in just the right way, some dark green leafing (spinach?) and then you break the yoke of the fried egg to let a lovely dark yellow run out. And they make their own brown sauce. Mushrooms on toast was something my mum would make when she couldn't really be bothered. But here they do like bother. Two types of mushroom and properly cooked. What I liked with both dishes, and its a small thing, is that the dish isn't packed out with excessively thick cut bread - again someone was thinking of the sensation in your mouth. Big slices is a cheap trick played in many cafes. The service is well done. Enough staff for you not to have to wait at table or counter, friendly, they don't intrude but do appear when you look for them. Can't be more than 30 seats. I haven't seen queues out the door but it deserves the online ratings so gets busy. I have only been in as single and couple but I can't imagine parties of more than 4 will get settled quickly.Well worth the trip even as part of a special treat weekend.

Invites for a business meeting at this spot just behind House of Fraser and close to a.o. St James' Park Underground, i had no idea what to expect when i came into this very busy place. A very diverse mix, with everybody looking relaxed and happy. Business contact raving about their coffee, but as a non-coffee drinker, I had to test the equally delicious teas. For lunch they have a one pager of healthy dishes. We decide to have a mix of both savoury and sweet. The portions can easily be shared, and although they are large you feel not like you have a brick in your stomach as they are easy to digest. You can sit at high chairs at the windows, or at low small tables, which can easily be put together. No reservations, so might expect queuing in the weekend. Uni-sex bathroom and free water. Trying to find a table has also been hard with some businesses seeming to be having meetings there and laptop owners nursing a single drink and taking up a table for considerable periods of time. Friendly staff and fresh food but I think went a little left-field in their 'quirky twists'. Smashed avocado with poached egg is hands-down one of the best breakfasts out there. This one came with chopped avos, firm green lentils and chopped onion and coriander, all balanced on a popadom with a wedge of fried paneer. It was an interesting flavour and while I do applaud their defiance of a classic, I don't think it quite made it.I'd go back for the clean and bright setting and friendly staff and perhaps give another dish a go before calling it. Was a 3.5 nudged to a 4 due to the effort.

So, I have been walking by this rather cool looking cafe for the past few months and I always wanted to go in and try one of those fabulous looking pastries and have a coffee. One morning I did. What a disappointment! Getting served was a nightmare - it took ages despite having lots of people running around (they clearly have not thought about their production line at all) and it felt like they were doing you a favour by making you coffee. After quite some time I finally got my soy cappuccino. It was horrible! no other word to describe it, have never had worst coffee in my life - and they charged 50p for soy milk which I found ridiculous as you can 1lt of soy milk for £1. I have been a regular for a long time at Iris & June. It used to be a place to go and relax. Recently they changed their policy and they seat you wherever they want. I went there with my partner and they wanted to seat us to an awful small table towards the end of the coffee shop. When we asked why we have to seat there and not in another table at the front, they replied that they will have to move us if a bigger party of customers arrived. Today it was the second time that this happened to us. The first time we decided to give it a second chance but today we left. I did not realise that suddenly Iris & June turned into a gourmet place... When people go to independent cafes they would like to relax in their own terms. Especially if they pay a lot of money for drinks and food. Their new policy is not for me.

This cafe is tucked away just off Victoria street so I didn't know it existed for a while!I came to try the weekend brunch menu on a Sunday, think I tried the smashed avocado(?) it was unbelievable! Was hugely impressed with the veggie options too. Can't wait to come back and try other options on the menu. Very reasonably priced too. Under £10 for a huge dish, excellent for Victoria! The staff were very warm and welcoming and the service was excellent!! Delicious coffee too. Truly takes a lot for me to say that. Think I've found my new local.

Another great find from google maps! After finding Lime Orange for dinner, I used google maps in search of a new lunch place, and found Iris & June. It's just right behind House of Fraser in Victoria. They rotate their food selection, but usually have choices of salads, sandwiches and frittata for lunch. Their chicken avocado sandwich and smoked salmon sandwich are my favorites - they usually offer to toast it (I mean, who doesn't like a hot sandwich!) They also have great, fresh salads, which you can add as a side to your sandwich. If you have a sweet tooth like me, you'll be tempted by all their baked goodies. And if you love a good coffee, they do a coffee right there too. They are usually very busy at lunch - I usually bought food to-go, but the cafe is a nice place to enjoy a sit-down lunch with your friends/colleagues. Try and get there a bit earlier to beat the crowd. The lunch is slightly pricier than other options nearby, but is worth every penny! It was a pity I didn't get to try their breakfast...

Great espresso! Nice cafe, friendly service but very crowded. It is a short coffee break place not a peaceful coffee time.

Not obviously visible from main road - a local took me there! Slightly quirky coffee shop and more. Full of youngish customers and buzzy atmosphere. Not the place for a quiet chat as tables very close and decor means it us a bit noisy. Super service and coffee with a smile.

The v60s these folks make are becoming a reason for me to come a fair distance out of my way to have one. Superb brewed coffee bringing out all the wonderful flavours.

An excellent choice for coffee, cake, or lunch if you're in the area. Probably the best sit down coffee choice in Victoria. Highly recommended.

We visited here hoping for brunch and it happened to be Iris & June's first time offering brunch, everything was half price, which was great. The food did not disappoint, it was beautifully presented and very tasty!! See photos. The surroundings were a bit cold and could do with a bit more work but all in all a great place to start your day.

I work locally and find myself returning time after time to this nice little spot after a year of the same old boring Pret fare. Close to Victoria Street but off the beaten tourist track, Iris & June offers fantastic coffee, lovely desserts and best of all, fresh and interesting homemade salads that you'd never find in any of the chains. Sure, it's a price point higher but as Pret et al are hardly the budget-friendly option themselves, if you fancy a nice lunch in Victoria you won't do better than this. Well staffed, generous portions, good veggie options, free water brought to your table - would wholeheartedly recommend.

Pitched slightly pricier than chain coffeeshops in the area, Iris & June justifies the premium with huge portions of home-cooked food. The salads are tasty as well as healthy, and fresh as a daisy. Staff are friendly, and there are enough of them to keep the queues short and tables tidy. A rather nice touch is the glasses of water they bring to you without being asked.Decor is stylish faux-industrial - concrete walls, slabby wooden tables, moulded plastic chairs.I will be back, with friends.

This coffee shop is slightly off the main tourist drag in Victoria and was well frequented by locals. It has an austere concrete fitout which is a bit noisy, but it is clean and modern. Quite a few tables available and vey friendly staff. Excellent coffee, and rarely in our experience, they had good white toast with good quality jams. One disabled friendly toilet at rear.

I have been to Iris and June several times and live around the corner. The coffee and decor are lovely and modern. The barrista's know their coffee which is nice and also their tea. I have not tried the food but it looks great. I have gone with neighbours before and they did not like that it can get pretty noisy at times. Also I am not sure about the wifi connection. I've given it a 4 cause I am not exactly in love with it. It is nice, I think seating is not as comfortable as other places and I personally find the decor cold. However, probably the best independent coffee in the area.

This is a really nice spot that does great coffee and fresh food. I have started coming here for casual business meetings as there is lots of seating. My only complaint would be how dreary the staff are - someone else wrote the same in reviews and I couldn't agree more... The majority of staff are so moody and never smile!

I have great difficulty finding any fault. The food was great, freshly prepared. The portions were generous and tasted really good. The staff are really friendly. It is a small restaurant but that just adds to the overall experience. Really worth a visit to a fresh, tasty and healthy lunch.

I visit Iris and June regularly and cannot fault the coffee- it is one of the best in London.Unfortunately, my experience is always tainted by the unfortunate attitude of the staff. They come across as grumpy and unapproachable. I have tried on many occasions to weasel out a smile, but to no avail! For an independent coffee shop, which faces such fierce competition from nearby chains, it surprises me that offering a warm and hospitable environment, isn't a priority.

Sweet little cafe with delicious coffee and pastries. My husband and I visited here our first morning in London...and proceeded to come back every other morning we were there. The croissants, scones, and yogurt with granola and preserves were all delicious, as were the flat whites.

Just behind the hustle and bustle of Victoria Street. A warm welcome, excellent coffee - and the staff even bring you water to hydrate you afterwards! A lovely treat in Central London.

Go there most days for an excellent flat white, and sometimes eat there when I can't resist the sausage rolls, amazing breakfast sandwiches, great salads and lovely cakes and slices. The staff are super friendly and it is the perfect neighbourhood cafe. Also like that if its busy everyone shares tables. Would highly recommend, best coffee in a 1 mile radius from Victoria Station (actually probably the only good coffee in Victoria!!!!)

This was our favourite in London for both the coffee and the quality of the croissant, pain de chocolate and almond croissant. We ate in and there are well spaced out tables and good service.

They need to cheer up a bit. Not every coffee is a Shakespearean tragedy. The muffins are fairly tasty too. I've had the aeroprop super coffee thingymabob, which was good. Bit expensive though. But hey, them are London for you.

Victoria has long been crying out for a decent coffee shop, and Iris & June doesn't disappoint. It's amazing. And a good place to take clients if you work in the area. The food is a bit pricey, but if you stick to the coffee you'll be just fine.

Not the most obvious of coffee shops and hidden behind the house of Fraser where there is a chain coffee shop. Ignore those coffee shops and come here. Coffee is great, baked goods delicious and a really nice atmosphere to meet up with someone or just chill by yourself.

I used to love this place, but haven't been for nearly 10 years. I'm glad to see it hasn't changed too much, but with the downside that it is now apparently owned by BrewDog. Luckily, it appears they let them continue without having to follow the "taproom by numbers" you get out of most BrewDog bars, so not only does it have it's own look, but there is a much more interesting selection of beers. It was easy enough to get a seat on a Saturday afternoon, which is always a bonus in a decent location like this.

It all looks OK but service is poor and the bar food served is cheap frozen food at prices that should require a far better quality. There are far better options in London

Fui a desayunar. Mucho a mucho. Este lugar no es para mi. Buen café sin embargo.
