The food and the great service really helped me to enjoy my experience.

This family owned chippy is in the heart of Ipswich, run by kind and friendly people. The whole menu is very good value for money, and the fish & chips were very tasty. It was a quiet day so I had a tea as well, talking to the kind owners. Very nice people.

Very friendly staff, my Haddock and Chips was excellent and no long wait - consider myself lucky to have this place on my doorstep.

Ordered 8 hot wings and they came out raw!!!

Fish was warm, obviously kept in the warmer too long. Curry sauce was to Runny, it should thick not like dishwater. Staff were ignorant.

Really depends on the day with this place sometimes you get great food and great service but other days you really don't. Seems to really depend on who's working.

Food was ok, but a bit concerned with what looked like olive oil in a chemical /cleaning bottle, either or no label and didn't inspire much confidence. I wish food was more fresh and the portion of chips was better served.

Sausage missing from order and hair found in our chips. Seems a lot of money for barely anything when compared to what we actually recieved. Wouldn't order again. Don't appreciate finding hair in my food, it's a put of and most ended up in the bin. Waste of money. I would suggest hairnets and sending the correct order. £1.80 forna sausage we didn't recieve. Not cool.

The food was amazing and abundant. Unfortunately, we didn't check to make sure that our sauces were in our takeaway bag. It would've been that much better I'm sure. We would definitely come here again.

One of the best Fish and Chip Shops in Ipswich and the Red Sauce is out of this world what is it? I would love to buy some of my own it’s not normal Ketchup

The great thing about this establishment is that if you ask for a large cod and chips that is exactly what you get. The cod is large on every time that I have asked for it and always cooked exactly right. The chips are equally great in portion size and like the fish, non greasy. I have never been disappointed with the quality and quantity of food, the service or the reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Tried for the first time today. Food was delicious, freshly cooked. Best chips ever tried. Certainly will be back again.

A decent place to enjoy fish and chips in the heart of Ipswich town centre. Friendly attendants, neat environment and fair prices. However, the tables and chairs are removed by 8pm.

Love this place. Whether I finish a late shift or I want to go for some grub after a night out, this is my place to go. I'm a huge fan of their curry and veg rolls.

Ordered food via TooGoodToGo. Drove down to collect it at the designated time and the place was shut! Have to apply through the app for a refund of money already paid and conjure up an alternative meal on a Bank Holiday evening now. Complete waste of time and petrol.

Best Fish and Chips in town and they do a small portion of chips. Some in town give you only large at £3.30 I don't want large 😊 Will be going back again

I'm not one to post reviews unless they're worth it and this place is 100% worth. I haven't had fish and chips in almost 2 years (for dietary reasons) and the other night I was really craving it. I'm new to Ipswich so had to Google review a few place. This was one of the top fish n chips places so I gave them a go and I'm SO glad I did. Amazing!! Not greasy or messy. Delivery was on time. Definitely recommend and will definitely be ordering again 👌

Maybe we went on a bad day. My wife and I had fish and chips. The fish batter was soggy, tattered and soaked in oil. Both of us, who are regular fish-and-chip-eaters, had nausea and severe stomach pains for about 4 hours afterwards and could not eat until the following day. I am glad that others have had a better experience.

I have tried many fish and chips shops around the town, this is the very best. The service is excellent, professional and friendly. The food piping hot fresh and delicious. I would definitely recommend this gem, you will not be disappointed.

Totally the best chiipy in town! Oldfashioned chips cooked to perfection using Maris Piper spuds. Good menu, nice staff. Quite small eat in area with a few tables, or take away. Some wooden benches outside to sit on...

Starving after crunching out some miles on a cycling tour, we passed through Ipswich and kindly got directed by someone, to give Ipswich Fish & Chips a try. The guys really looked after us. Delicious food, great menu and generous portions. Will definitely be back when next in the area.

Great place for the family to eat. Diverse menu so that you don't have to get what everyone else is ordering. Only issue is that their card machine is often out, so remember to bring cash. There is a cash point nearby at the Sainsbury's though.

Good food and nice customer service

A really do hand on heart love this place. Nowhere else come close for the value and quality of the food. If you love fish and chips, you really do have to go. There are only a few seats inside but just because you have to eat them outside, still awesome in paper.

Terrible. Dirty. Staff were dressed in dirty clothes! Overpriced and not even great food. Ordered a large to share and the portion size was like a regular, said this to server and I would like my money back, they didn't and begrudgingly put few more chips on. Will not return.

Let's be honest - we only go there cos we're drunk. But staff are friendly (and very patient!) and I've never come away unhappy. Would be nice if there were more veggie options

Fish is between excellent and great. However I asked for a large portion of chips. I got a small hidden underneath fish???? I only had a pastie all day not enough carbs.....

Great service, fish was perfection....only problem was the chips were pretty undercooked. Will still give it another go based on the first two points :)

I came here after a friends wedding...We did not try the fish and chips but ordered Chicken Wings (or just fried Chicken) AmAzing...these were the best fried chicken I ever tasted, especially with the chili sauce the man behind the counter was stingy with! He wasn’t particularly friendly either but I can’t knock him since the chicken was delicious!

You can tell a good fish and chips shop from the smell. If it bites the back of your throat the fats not clean . If it smells of fish then the fish is not fresh. Ipswich fish and chips is brilliant. Really good food. Add good bread and mushy peas. Staff are friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable. We had a sit down and a pot of tea and great value steaming hot fish chips and mushy peas. Hmmmmm

drunken eatery who cares what to put in his mouth after a decent portion of alcohol tooken from opposite side in the middle of the night. The food taste as hundred times re- used oil.very harmful similarity of food.Will never use it again in my life.Disgusted place... brrrrr!!!!

Good fish and chips, friendly service

Awful customer service, staff are very rude and chips look and taste like reheats. Not sure if because it was a Friday night when I visited that they expected me to be a drunk person and treated me and served me like I was drunk in the hope I wouldn't remember or taste the difference but the staff were so rude and the chips were so stale and dry that I chucked them in the bin. Very disappointing and won't return. Also unrelated to this visit bit the week before myself and my partner attempted to visit on a Wednesday eve ing around 7.30pm and although it said it was open the door was locked and could not enter so both of my last 2 visits have resulted in very disappointing results.

Had a pensioners cod and chips despite being 2 years short of 65 qualifying age. Said I'd happily go away and come back in 2 years time but wasn't necessary. Excellent quality food and friendly staff.

After a quick visit into town and just needing to grab some lunch walked along by the bus station and popped in here. The greeting was friendly and service efficient and the food very good. Well cooked and not greasy. Would definitely use again.

The fish was haddock, cooked for us, and the chips were fine. It was a takeaway for us this time but there's plenty of space to eat there too.

We were walking about in Ipswich looking for a place to have a quick supper when we spied this place. Absolutely no frills, but no frills needed. The service was superb, the lightly battered fresh hot cod was heavenly and the chips were in an amazing abundance! They also cooked us some yummy onion rings. We washed the whole lot down with tang soda drinks and left full and happy. Hoping to make this our every Saturday night tradition while we are here visiting Ipswich. If you want delicious fresh hot fish and chips served with a stunning smile, please eat here!

This place has a nice seating area, above average fish and chips, and the server has never been rude to me. It's right in the middle of town so it's a pretty good stop if you fancy fish and chips and don't want to pay £12 to get them from any of the nearby pubs

Good to have this decent fish and chip shop open after a few pints. Opposite Revs and next to a few drinking spots, the fish was quite nice and I had a decent bag of chips with it. Will return

Busy mid evening visit . . . What seemed liked re-heated chips and "kept warm" for ages piece of fish . . . rubbish!!!!!!!

Visited on a Saturday night, when the shop was empty. The man behind the counter was not particularly friendly or courteous. I ordered a particular pie, which I was told was not available, but I wasn't offered a wait for one to be microwaved. Got the eventual order home and the chips looked & tasted like they had been under the heat lamp for quite a while. Better f&c are readily available, so I won't be revisiting.

The are doing the best chips , fish and sausage..lovely staff friendly wich they try to do the best for customers... One of them , he told me : Sir if are u going out from this shop happy, I will be happy is well!! Also they got food hygiene 5 stars! I was visiting Ipswich with a friend and came across this fish and chip shop, it was clean with a wide selection on the menu I went for cod and chips (classic choice) which was cooked freshly in front of me, I had to wait about 10 mins was but worth it. Staff were nice also, would come again
