The Falcon Pub & Kitchen in Ipswich

The pub was having nice crowds and music. They have a special Cherokee, and that is awesome. The best part is they play all jouner of music according to the crowd.

this is the place to go if you like karaoke Fri sat nights I have been several times now and had a brilliant night out each time I thoroughly recommend the falcon

Busy pub full of friendly staff and good drinks. Upstairs area to sit down and smoke with an additional bar. Definitely a good visit if you crave karaoke.

Plastic cups, plastic, rude, disrespectful and unprofessional staff. Totally avoid. Nasty pub out of keeping with neighbours.

Watch out for the blonde security women when you go in here if she takes a dislike to you she will try and get you barred from there without any good reason she makes you feel very uncomfortable and made to feel like you don’t want to be in there. Also ladies toilets are always a right mess no locks on the doors and no toilet roll!

When I'm not at The Mannings, I am here. This pub serves food, which will always be a plus in my book.

Absolutely amazing evening spent in the falcon, food was delicious and wanted more but saved room for drinks, so e decent ales on tap as well. Well worth a visit for a quick pint in the day an for a great evening out

Great atmosphere great drinks but the ladies loo no locks and no loo roll! Hate going to the loo and having to lean forward to hold the door making sure no one comes in! Otherwise good place but if you like to pre in private don’t go!

Very friendly nice deals on cocktails, and very tasty home made food . Also very fun on karaoke nights xx

Last time I went into this place was 30 years ago, so my results are from that date, never had food there

Karaoke every Tuesday and it's pretty good

First time since before covid. Popped in for a beer but ended up having a couple and something to eat. Barstaff were friendly, the place was warm, the food was good and lager was ok (no choice as there was no real ale, unfortunately) Will be going again and more often if a choice of real ale is available.

Nicely done out now. Staff friendly. Lots of seating. Toilets clean. Didn't have food just drinks.

Your friendly neighborhood hangout place in Ipswich. It's become mine and my partner's new favourite. Karaoke is a big hit every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Needless to say the weekends are crazy fun! Fun crew here too! Haven't had the chance to try their food yet, hopefully will do soon.

This place was alight last night before and after the ipswich v wolves game. The bar staff although working under extreme pressure coped beautifully. Busy bar with good service and excellent choice of drinks and fun bar staff. What more could you ask for.

Visited at the end of a mini pub crawl and it turned out to be a karaoke night. The atmosphere here was great! I didn't realise how nice it was inside here.

Slipperiest toilet floor I've ever seen, but great vibe overall

We went in to get out off the Rain but spent 2 hours in great deals for food and alots of choice of ales. Great luxury seats to fall asleep on.

Very poor and incompetent door staff. I live on my own and have only lived in Ipswich a year due to work. I have struggled to make friends outside work. I enjoy Karaoke and will once maybe every 2-3 months force myself to go out and try to socialize and have a couple of drinks. Its not easy going out on your own and there is a lot of discrimination that I have experienced for being out on my own. Last Friday after 3 pints in a local pub doing Karaoke I decided to head to The Falcon as I knew they did Karaoke on a Friday too, Still on my own and still determined to stay out and enjoy myself. Shortly after 11pm, the Pub being very busy, I was stood at the bar minding my own business and listening to people singing and dancing, A female decided it was acceptable to flip her finger at me for no reason, so I returned the gesture. A male then approached me and after a few words, he grabbed and pushed my by the throat, Security stepped in and I was pushed against the wall, shortly after I was told to finish my drink and leave, I refused and asked why I should leave, I haven't done anything! The securitys' response, ''there's 1 of you and 3 of them'' So basically because I was on my own, it was easier for the security to turf me out than tackle the other 3 blokes. Again I refused to leave unless the other guys and the female were kicked out first for an unprovoked attack. after a few minutes still they were there, provoking me, I was still being asked to leave. Not to be a push over, I decided to down my drink and give the security a good reason to turf me out, i shoved the guy who attacked me first and before you know it, I was pounced on by 6 guys, 3 security and 3 other men. I was thrown out the pub and instantly handcuffed by police who had just turned up. after 5 minutes speaking to the officers, the police accepted I did nothing wrong and allowed me to leave and go home. very very poor service and very badly treated, If you go out on your own, you are not welcome at this pub

1st visit since it's under its original name. Great bar staff, plenty of seating areas including sofa area. Secret Garden is just the icing on the cake. Felt (dare, I say) London vibes. Awesome night out. Felt safe.

Very quiet on the particular day I visited but it was mid week and around 5pm. Seen this place when it's jumping at the weekend. Decent boozer with good selection of food and drink. Staff always cheerful and attentive. Seems ok.

I visited the Falcon for a pint with my disabled friend, we were unfortunately greeted by a drunken patron who upset my friend by seeing his disability first instead of him as a person. The staff team and management team were brilliant in dealing with this when I raised how this had affected my friend. I could not have asked for more, thank you. Their was a variety of beer on tap and a decent menu selection. I would recommend stopping by as I will again in the future.

Great pub...apparently was a quieter night but was lovely friendly atmosphere...we had a great 25th anniversary and finished it here 😀 🙌

My partner and I came here today to have some lunch together. We waited 40 minutes for them to bring out my food and our side. They bought my partners pizza out 10 minutes after I’d finished my own food which is not acceptable at all. I told the server this is unacceptable. All we got was an apology and told the ‘ticket system doesn’t work’. No compensation or anything… thanks a lot. Won’t be coming back here.

Roast chicken was beautiful but the veg needs cooking more as it to raw

Friendly staff, great selection of vodka. Comfortable seating, clean loos and sanitary selection in the ladies, nice touch.

The wife and I are really enjoying Friday Karaoke nights at the Falcon. The staff are friendly and there is never a long wait at the bar. All in all a very nice place to spend a Friday night out.

Nice place have only visited in the afternoon 🙂 the price of the drinks are very reasonable. Will be trying the food at a later date.

The Falcon is a required stop on your bar crawl if you're in Ipswich! The draught Aspall is always on point, and boast a great selection of beers, ciders and spirits which is neat. The bar staff are amazing, I've never waited more than a few minutes for a drink. And with amazing entertainment on the weekend, with Clarissa's Karaoke on Fridays and dope DJs on Saturday The Falcon Is always a good night. Good atmosphere with plenty of seating and a neat little space to dance if the mood/song strikes! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a great venue. Walking in brings back great memories for me. I went it on a Friday night recently and to my surprise they had karaoke on. No where In the town centre does this anymore but I’m glad the falcon had this on! It’s always good fun having a few beers and belting out some classic ( I can’t sing by the way) The hostess, Clarissa was amazing she definitely knew what she was doing and engaged with the punters well. I used to host a karaoke night and know how difficult it can be. But she smashed it. I will definitely be back!

I Enjoyed the quiz. I also go to the Karaoke every friday night and I enjoy it a lot. Clarissa and all the staff have been very nice and have done their job very well indeed. Definitely recommend it.

the food was fine but the girl serving was a disgrace. Uninterested, she made no contact in any way. Except for the young man hanging out at the bar.

Its been a while since I've used this good old Ipswich pub, its had many a revamp and name change over the years. I got a good feeling as soon as i walked in, loved the makeover and had a good beer. I really hope the people of Ipswich use it the owners deserve plenty of trade. A very nice pub.

Fantastic local in the center of town. Decent prices and choices of drinks. Great food thats more than ample portions.

They had a set menu on for mother's day. We went in on the off chance we would get a table. It wasn't busy so we got a table. Food was good. The Beef was a little salty for me but I am very funny with salt. My partner said it was okay for him.

Took parents here for Mother's Day, son and daughter in law also joined us...everybody cleared their plates of all courses! Food was fab, staff very accommodating and friendly . Highly recommended for relaxed atmosphere with decently priced nice tasting food. :)) Definitely will return! Nice to see the old Falcon open again:))

Went in on the off chance and turned out it had recently been taken over. We both had the Sunday roast and it was really good and some different beers which were really nice also. Definitely be heading back

Just come back from having a Sunday roast...was marvellous. Presentation of food excellent,staff very friendly and helpful. Very nice and clean. Had a lovely time...even though my friend knocked her drink all over me 😅 Definitely will be going back again

We went to the falcon for dinner. The food was amazing. Would highly recommend this pub. Recently taken over. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. We had mushrooms on brioche roll followed by cod and chips. Had a lovely Evening will definitely be back

This place has just reopened good restrictions, for covid if you are worried; when I went in, no.food as yet but they did offer to bring some in..they could not do enough for us very good hospitality, interaction and service. Will return

The Falcon has been recently refurbished and has a feeling of a open friendly public house. Good selection of craft and draught beers and spirits. Friendly staff and efficient bar service. Great night out 👍

Newly reopened as The Falcon, Food; for the first time and they had has no one try this new dish. I was the first, based on first impressions the chicken was dry and overcooked, and just had some basic seasoning thrown on top. Pub; nicely lit, and polite friendly, attentive staff, plenty of room around the put including an outside for the smokers. Good atmosphere.

Lovely pub , all been decorated out very tastefully. Sweet Ps food was absolutely delicious. Im going to take the Hubby next time. 😉

Since its changed back from bowmans it's a lit better! Great little bar for private events!
