Indus Valley Indian Restaurant & Takeaway in Northumberland

Ordered £45 worth of food came stone cold no one could eat it, quickly sorted by a phone call and re delivery with hot food which was lovely shame it took a re delivery as it was lovely food. We have ordered from here a couple of times since moving into the area and it was always lonely pizzas etc

Ordered at 4.30 online to receive at 6, 6 came so rang up told a few more minutes, finally after another call I received food at 6.45, won't be ordering again

Had the set meal for 1 and it was alright,

No longer use this takeaway. One thing that spoils this place is inconstancy, the quality varies from one week to another. Had a lamb madras a few months age and it was great then again and it was poor quality. As with other things one week it is good the next not so good.

excellent food it's a very busy takeaway so it's a good idea to order on line and collect. No problem with service or food

Simply the best takaway indian in Hexham bar none. Great food at reasonable prices.

Food very poor taste wise we had a chicken Balti and Tikka Massala Large pieces of chicken in which some pieces were hard like a American hard gum. The onion Bahji's were the best part of this meal such a shame after spending £35. Back to the Chinese in future.

Wait was 1.5 hours from ordering which was explained when I ordered however when I eventually got the food, I did not receive my full order & sauces in the bag all spilled out. And my pizza was cold, when I called up and asked where my 2 wraps where, they said it would be another hour and a half wait, it was 10pm at this point and the attitude was awful considering I’d just paid over £30 for food. Eventually I received another pizza and they demanded I give them the cold one back 😂, meanwhile kids had to wait even longer without food. The 2 wraps were awful the Nan bread they are wrapped in were wet and soggy and there was more onions/peppers in the wrap than anything else. Won’t be returning

Good selection, reasonably priced and lovely food

My food tasted watery, my wife's meat was chewy. Delivery was quick, food was hot but was honestly the worst indian I have ever had the misfortune of trying to eat. Will definitely not be ordering from there again.

Brilliant food wether it's Indian food or pizza or kebab not had a bad meal yet . Service is spot on to , nice friendly manner on the phone and on collection.

Ordered variety of naan breads and pizza ,the pizza was tasteless and had peppers on which wasn't on menu and wasn't wanted but both myself and son who had naan bread were ill all night after not good

The menu here is really quite different to most Indian restaurants there are some new recipes that I have never seen before we tried one and it was very nice we'll definitely visit here again they are also very popular so also very busy there was a considerable wait time I'm the staff were very friendly and apologetic

I love this place. The Naga Raj is a particularly good dish. Very hot and very tasty. Great food and always very pleasant service.

Had a kebab from here. Best kebab in Hexham. Actually best donner kebab I’ve had in a long time

Food here is excellent if a little on the pricey side. Staff always friendly.

Ordered a bindiya chicken and got a vindaloo which has burnt my wife's mouth. Phoned to complain, no apology for their incompetence, or offer to rectify it in now unlikely future orders. Quite a shame as our previous orders have always been on time and of great quality. I'm hopeful this may just be a blip in customer service but needs to be addressed.

House for authentic Indian curry and starters in Hexam. Must recommended to all

The Chicken in the tikka was overcooked but the sauce and rice were really nice. The pizza for the kids was probably the best in Hexham, it was amazing & they loved it! Overall a very nice meal and we will be back again. Thanks

Delivery was 40 mins late Food was not hot Puri and chapattis were heavy and undercooked Chicken Channa which is supposed to be hot had zero heat. In fact even though we have used Indus on numerous occasions we have never had a curry with any heat at all. V v disappointing

We've just eaten our first takeaway from Indus and it was delicious!! Arrived hot and freshly cooked with quality ingredients. . Thoroughly recommend!!

Order not ready at 7.30pm when told it would be! Still sitting waiting one hour later and still not ready!!! Disgraceful

Few things went wrong. Ordered food and it arrived with items missing, rang to explain and was told driver was out but would return, never did. Food was cold and meat was hard and over cooked and to be honest bland. This is the second time this has happened, after the first give the benefit but will not be using them again.

Wouldn’t take my order, passed me onto someone else the said they didn’t deliver to Newbrough despite having it listed on the menu...

Ordered a pizza and a couple of Indian dishes, had to wait about 25 minutes for collection. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was superb!

Waited two hours for a delivery that was estimated to be with us I half an hour. No update or apology. We called three times only to be shouted at! What an absolute joke. Don’t offer delivery if you can’t do it.

Long wait for food. Live 20 miles away & when got home they had missed a dish. I got half a Biryani!!!! Not good.

Food is always hot, even when delivered. Delivery can take a while but is well worth it, and is hot even then. Excellent taste. Recommend.

Only get pizzas here as they're better than anywhere in Hexham

£22 for two curries, two rice & 6 popadums, very reasonable prices and good quality will be returning again in the future and it's handy location get off the train, can't be bothered to cook and its tea sorted ... A bit too handy sometimes!!!
