The best Costa in Hexham. Lots of free parking at the nearby Supermarkets. The cafe itself is upstairs in Next and has a lovely atmosphere. It is open plan and lots of light gets in from outside. Food and coffee as good as ever from Costa.

Being disabled was difficult to get up the stairs, only to be told they only do takeaways, back down stairs.. ..would have been handily to put sign on door......maybe to much bother......

Handy for recovery from shopping in Tesco, Aldi and Next! Good range of drinks and snacks. Usually quick service and nice seating.

Very expensive for below par products. The shortbread tasted like it had been left out for days, very dry and couldn't pick it up without it falling to bits.toastie had very sparse filling and was tasteless Toilet was disgusting, stank of stale urine. Staff were friendly.

Quite busy but very little food choice as apparently their delivery had not arrived.

Nice environment with good views over the estate. Pleasant staff, good grub and coffee plus clean, accessible toilets. Good to note that I wasn't harassed about not wearing a face nappy as I'm exempt.

Really disappointed with choice of veggie sandwiches..when I asked for much room and cheese toastie.told it had been taken off for Xmas range, which was more meat sandwiches..get with it Costa. There's a whole lot of vegetarians out there looking for a tasty sandwich

Staff decided to close early and refused to serve me at 3:57pm. On my first visit to Hexham it leaves an unwelcoming impression

Coffee was ok...being told despite arriving 30 minutes before closing that we had to have takeaway cups because they closed soon was not.. neither was over hearing the same member of staff swearing about another customer ordering a drink with 5 minutes to go before closing time...or staff literally mopping customers feet...

The Hexham – Next branch of Costa Coffee has previously charged more for equivalent items than other branches. However today this was taken to the extreme. When I queried the charge with the staff member I was referred to the store manager. Initially the manager denied that I was being charged the same for two cups of milk and one shot of coffee as I would be charged for two cups of milk and six shots of coffee. I asked the manager to check as this is what I had been informed by the staff member. Upon checking the manager confirmed this was this case, However with no explanation for the complete about-face the manager now stated that I had been charged the correct amount. Unhelpfully the manager confirmed that I could order two cups of milk and six shots of coffee and waste five of those shots of coffee for the same price but she was not at liberty to charge less for five fewer shots of coffee. This is despite the manager herself and several other members of staff having done so on a regular basis over the past number of months. The manager was indifferent to the illogical and hypocritical stance she had taken. This ‘Jobsworth’ approach to customer service has completely dismayed a previously regular customer. Called in today after shopping - disappointing - ordered caramel cortado and ham and cheese toastie. Could not taste any caramel and the ham was virtually non-existent in fact you could see through it. Noticed spilt coffee grounds on floor behind counter at staff service access and not cleared during our visit although not a very busy period. Disappointed.
