Indigo Eats in North Ayrshire

Delightful eatery that welcomed us and our dogs. Really nice decor and the food options were lovely. Definitely a place to visit if you’re in Largs.

Great breakfast at the quayside restaurant obviously popular with locals. The food was fresh and delicious and dogs are welcomed not just tolerated. Highly recommended.

On a trip to Troon we went to see the Viking at Largs. On enquiry from some locals as to the best coffee shop in Largs they sent us to Indigo. They were very welcoming at Indigo and owing I the popularity of the place given seats near the fireplace. We went in for coffee and hot chocolate but then couldn’t resist the cakes on display. Excellent carrot cake and cake of the day. Great drinks too at a reasonable price. All in all excellent.

On way to Dunoon stopped for lunch dog friendly. Staff pleasant and friendly . Extensive menu . Lots of choice for vegetarians . Daily specials on boards . Food was good and lots off. Only down side toilets were not accessible if disabled as up steps . Toilets not very clean and a bit dated . But wouldn’t stop me going back x

So sadly I was attending a bikers funeral early in the morning and Largs was the meeting point, after the funeral myself and another decided to head back to Largs for some breakfast and to say I was frozen to the bone is an understatement !! Even with heated grips my fingers were solid white and painful (reynaulds) When we entered the staff pointed us to a table but also said if we wanted a heat there was space beside the fire, a lovely couple of women sat there already moved to one of the other tables so we could actually utilise the table in front of the fire as well as the bench so we were able to sit either side of the fire and make the most of the heat. We were warned it might get too hot but not for me it was amazing I could have easily stayed there the rest of the day. I opted for the breakfast and a pot of tea and made my adjustments which were no issue to the staff. Everything was cooked perfect and lovely and hot when it arrived. It was certainly a welcome treat when my companion even spotted me my breakfast !! He had the omelette which look perfect but I forgot to take a pic of his I loved the little ramekin for the beans as I know a lot of folk are fussy about bean placement me personally on the plate anywhere suits but presentation is part of the quality of the place Bikers also are fortunate enough to get a discount at indigo eats as Aalto of us are regulars to Largs and the cafe as it’s directly across from where the bikes get parked
