Over the past few months Indigo has become a favorite spot of mine to come and chill with an ice-cream (or gelato) after a busy day at university, or a place to grab a morning coffee with friends. After becoming a regular here, I feel qualified to write a review on the place. The staff are always pleasant and very knowledgeable about the coffee they serve. They have a wide range of different specialty coffee available, with Workshop Coffee from London being the current go-to, but usually serving coffee from Five Elephant in Berlin. The gelato that Indigo serves is where they really shine. Always home made and fresh, they have the usual classics such as Honeycomb or Strawberry. If you're looking something more adventurous however, they frequently create signature gelatos such as Parma Violet (I would highly recommend), or Avocado. Recently Indigo have introduced a new brunch menu with many vegan and vegetarian options. I recently had the Waffles, which were delicious, and I am looking forward to trying the rest of the menu in the coming weeks. Overall, Indigo is a cosy, welcoming place where I enjoy coming if I have a spare half hour to kill and want somewhere handy to University, with great options for food and drink.

First off, I'd just like to mention that I've been going to Indigo on an almost weekly basis for a few months now and I'm maybe a little biased as I'm such a regular. However, I'd like to also point out that the service I've received has not been any better than when I first came to indigo and got an ice cream to sit outside with. The gelato is all incredibly fresh and with both inventive flavours (pink Himalayan sea salt?) and cult classics (Parma violent!) there's something for everybody. So much so that I've brought a 10 year old and intend to bring my grandmother at some point soon. The coffee is all brewed to an exceptionally high standard and I've never left the shop without the feeling of a little bounce in my step. This is due to both the diligence and excellent leadership of the owner and the friendly and attentive nature of the staff. It's a small store, and it can be a squeeze at times but there's good reason as to why there always seems to be a small crowd of frantic looking university students in the back seating area. Give indigo a visit for a quick scoop or a drawn out cup and you'll not be disappointed. It's not a Starbucks, and you'll be glad you don't have your name written on a big red cup, but instead maybe grow to get a little Polaroid printed with your name on the wall. Much better.

I suggested visiting here with my family after hearing about them through friends at university and following them through their social media. It's lovely inside, very trendy, but the service and food&drink was terrible. It took 15 minutes to make 3 drinks, and there was no queue or people ahead of us. The raspberry and white chocolate scone was as hard as a rock and we couldn't actually cut through it with a knife, possibly frozen and not fully defrosted? As for the hot chocolate... disaster. It was bournville cocoa powder and water. Absolutely disgusting. I didn't drink it. When we said the barista as we were leaving, he looked at us as if we were stupid. Felt belittled and embarassed, and £10 down the drain.

I have visited indigo on many occasions since it is a short walk from office. It is one of the hidden gems of the Belfast coffee scene. The fact that is works is due to its simplicity, which is hard to fine in a coffee shop these days. Their menu seems to be expanding with new dishes of treats and desserts all the time. Great staff and for a quite moment its a great recommendation.

I just popped in here for coffee and didn't taste anything else they had on offer (wish I had). I am completely addicted to coffee, and try and seek out great places wherever I travel. Unexpectedly, this was one of the best coffee's I have had anywhere in the world.

Visited this lovely coffee shop on 22nd of August. This is the 3rd time now and have not been disappointed yet again. This time we had coffee, a brownie(homemade) which was lovely and 6 scoops of the gelato, 3 scoops of honeycomb, 1 mango, 1 strawberry and 1 blackcurrant and no i didn't eat it all by myself, I wasn't greedy the 3 of us shared. There were other flavours but we played it safe. The sun came out and we enjoyed sitting outside. The staff were friendly and let us take our time. We enjoyed are time there. Looking forward to next time we can come back.

Went to the Gelato Club at 8pm tonight. Great atmosphere! Very cheerful folks. Great customer service. Amazing flavours! I had one with lavender in it. One with rosewater in it. The third was sweet potato and marshmallow. Really fresh tasting, new and exciting. A really trendy place. I will def. be going back again and again and again

I originally went here firstly, to see if it is gelato (not ice-cream) which it appears to be, and secondly to try some weird flavours as promised in early promo's about the shop.. 2nd time and there are still no weird flavours.. Its nice gelato, but Morelli's (I know they do ice cream)... steals their thunder with a massive choice and regular flavour changes ...

Gelato, delicious dairy-free gelato! Freshly made on site with interesting rotating flavours. This is the best non dairy ice-cream I have tasted in the three years since I haven't been able to eat dairy, ice cream is the thing I miss most so I have eaten a lot of non dairy ice cream! Plus their regular ice cream went down a treat with my fiancé too. This lovely cafe and ice cream place also has a really simple and well done interior and very friendly staff.

Looked good from the outside but a little grubby inside. They maybe need to freshen it up a little. We had a cheese sandwich and sausage roll and a couple of tray bakes. The sandwich was pretty poor but the rest was nice enough. Average prices. Waiting staff very pleasant and helpful as seems to be the case in Belfast overall.

Absolutely Superb Family run Cafe on the Belmont Road in East Belfast.. First thing that struck me was how very clean & well maintained the place was.. There are also some Beautiful Historic Pictures of East Belfast on the walls.. Something that I believe is always lovely to see.. The Service was prompt, polite & all you could ask for.. As for the Food, I had the Vegatarian Fry & it was Superb.. Very Tasty with a very good mixture of items.. (Items can be replaced by request when making your order).. My Friend had the Soup with Wheaten Bread & she said that it was Delicious.. She also commented on the cleanliness & First Class Presentation of the Establishment.. This was my first visit but I will definitely be back.. I Highly Recommend this Cafe for Food or Drink at any time of the day..

Was here for a event. Cant believe in a pre arranged event they ran out of Guinness before 11pm... particularly since from what I could see there was very little Guinness sold...I wonder could the barman just not be bothered changing the keg???
