Once again a great takeaway from the Indiana. Ordered directly no delivery and no service charge plus 10% discount Could not be better for quality and price The reshmi kebabs are to die for. All food hot and promptly delivered. Highly recommended

We simply don’t go anywhere else for Indian food. The staff are absolutely fantastic. Az is our favourite, super friendly, knows the menu inside out, remembers all our names, plus all our friends and families names and what our favourite dishes are. Food is fantastic , we’ve tried lots of different dishes and they’ve all been yum 😋 100% recommend 😊

The food is outstanding, the staff are so attentive and welcoming. This is my new go to Indian restaurant for take away and to dine in. Highly recommended

First, the food and the ambience were both very good. But the service? We were the only table on a Sunday night, arrived soon after 6, and didn't get our food until close to 7.30. They won't serve you tap water, technically legal as they are not a licensed premises, but would go a long way to improving goodwill. The servers were scarce and even being the only table seated, we had to look around for them several times when we wanted something. We also were interrupted when placing our orders, as our waiter had to take a phone order. We watched people waltz in and out to pick up their takeaways while we were still waiting for our food, so it appeared we were less important as they'd got us already. Finally, they refused point blank to give me the invoice. I need an itemized invoice as well as the receipt for tax purposes, but they just refused, telling me to take a photo. What business refuses to give you an itemized bill for goods or services purchased? Is it even legal to refuse? In summary, food is fine but service could most definitely be improved upon.

The Indiana was suggested to us as an excellent Indian restaurant. As Indian cuisine is my absolute favourite, I am always open to suggestions along those lines. There are very few Indian restaurants which I could endorse without some degree of adverse comment, but the Indiana excelled in every respect. The venue is uncluttered and very pleasant with a limited amount of tables so the ambient noise level is low. We were warmly welcomed and the "bring your own booze" explained as they do not have a drinks licence. (there is an off-licence a few doors away) I can only describe the food as superb and as close to the real thing as I have ever experienced outside India. Will we be back? Damn right we will!

We tried this restaurant as part of the above scheme. We have now been there twice and are booked again next week. We can’t fault the service and the quality of the food is excellent - we will definitely continue to visit this restaurant as overall it is outstanding. A good find in our local area.

Had home delivery tonight. I think it may have changed a bit .It wasn’t just superb it was also excellent.

This is our fav Indian, until Lockdown we had been regularly. Tonight we had a take away and it was wonderful, thank you so much... cant wait to get back to see you lovely guys again when it is safe for us all.

This place does good Indian curries with a really long, varied menu and delivery is prompt and efficient. In these days of lockdown I really fancied a curry, and this place is on JustEat, and I chose it as it has a good varied menu with dishes I haven't seen before as well as all the standards. The Sylheti Shatkora with lamb was delicious - a dish from Sylhet in northern Bangladesh - full of lemons which gave it a delicious sharp flavour. The lamb was poor quality and overcooked, but the sauce was delicious and I'd have it again. Chicken Rogan was also very good - with lots of tomatoes and sweet peppers, so quite a sweet dish, very succulent and really good flavour with depth of spicing without it being overly hot. Service was prompt and efficient and the food was still piping hot when it arrived. I'd try it again.

We stop off here o way back from daughters for take away as my wife lovers the food here. Staff polite tables are clean and tidy. Great food an you can add extras.

They need to buck their ideas up. The service has got much worse recently. Have been going to this restaurant for Many years but recently the standards have been dropping. Poor service, rude waiters non attentive

Visited here last Saturday with my hubby, daughter & partner. All the staff are very welcoming & nothing is too much trouble for them, just all very friendly. The food we ordered was delicious, staff are very happy to recommend dishes too & give advice on a particular dish if unsure. You also have the added bonus of being able to take your own alcohol. We have been here on several occasions now & thoroughly recommend this restaurant

We have ordered take away from here for 4 years I have an allergy which they have always been great with. However on the last occasion the food had onion all over it which I'm allergic too. When I called them the man argued with me and said well dont come to a curry house if you have an onion allergy as it's the base if all our curries. Fair point but dont write no onion on the box then and make me sick all weekend.....the manager was supose to call back to refund the order...never heard again. Will not use this place again as this particular man was so rude and completely wrong to argue.

Visited again last night, as usual the food was delicious. AZIZ knocked us up a little sauce to have with our pompadours,it was delicious. 10/10

We usually order regularly from here and the food is always delicious. Last week orders a takeaway from here and discovered a small stone and a piece of sharp bone in our Murghi Masala. We have emailed the restaurant twice and received no response, will not be using again.

First time here - food was excellent , staff attentive and as we brought our own drinks the bill was so reasonable!

I generally always go to the same place and this time gave this place a go, we wasn’t disappointed. Menu pretty much the same as any Indian, food was good, hot, well presented and tasted great. Flavours were amazing. Service was attentive and staff were chatty when needed. Will defo go again.

Went last night for a meal with two friends. All I can say is.you have tried the rest now have the best. AZIZ AND IDA Will make your evening, very friendly and informative about food.

Apart from a very strange moment when we first walked in to the restaurant and the two waiters seemed to struggle whose turn it was to come and greet us we had a lovely time. I had the most sublime starter called Minty lamb. It was the most tender lamb I have had in a very long time and full of flavour.

We went with friends who are vegans and they enjoyed there meal very much , the restaurant was very busy so The service was a little slow but worth the wait , your always made welcome and the staff are so friendly , the flavours are great and always hot food . You can take your own drink . I would definitely recommend this Indian I’m yet to have a bad meal . Thanks guys great meal again .

Had home delivery last night. Food was brilliant. This place is so consistent,👍 especially Aziz special Hot naga sauce.

I have visited the Indiana on a fair few occasions but had not ventured down to Leigh on sea in some time. The standards previously set had not dropped. Service, very good, attentive without being overbearing and can not do enough for you (note you must bring your own booze should you wish to drink alcohol, all soft drinks etc are available), Food very good, there are some really nice dishes here, all cooked with love. The whole experience is great value for money, I can't believe this place isn't packed out every night, although part of me is glad it isn't.

This is the first time we have been to this restaurant since it was taken over some two years ago. I would definitely make a return visit as the staff were great and the food was excellent and good value for money. Comes highly recommended.

My wife and I were treated to dinner at Indiana by our son in law and daughter. I think it’s one of the best Indian meals I’ve had, there were six different main courses so got to try them all absolutely lovely, will definitely be returning. The staff were brilliant and very attentive. The bonus is BYO

We live locally and go here at least once a month. The service could not be any better, the waiters(Az in particular) remembers our names ,asks after our family and are just generally lovely. The food is delicious too. My favourite though is the garlic naans (MMMMMM!) We won't go anywhere else for a curry now.

This is my local curry house and I love it. Has no license so you bring your own booze. Takeaways are delivered piping hot and just as good.

This was the fourth visit and once again the food was excellent. In fact one of my relatives said her was better than a well known Indian restaurant in Leigh main shopping centre. This time I was welcomed warmly as I was recognised from my previous visits and all the staff were very friendly and I really did enjoy my visit.

Six family members went for a meal Friday evening great service very welcoming and very attentive, great food all cooked fresh very hot and lovely flavours , you can take your own alcohol , but buy your water soft drinks etc , they even supply a wine cooler really enjoyed our evening thanks guys great

A menudo me dan una llevar desde aquí y encontrar que son bastante consistentes, a diferencia de muchos que tienden a variar. El personal es muy agradable y aunque no he comido en casi sin duda ir allí cuando tenemos visitantes.

Éramos un grupo grande en un jueves por la noche para un cumpleaños amigos. Los camareros eran lo suficientemente atento y la comida era buena, era un gran orden y la espera no era demasiado malo y la comida cuando llegó estaba delicioso. Mi única crítica es que pedí un refresco que nunca llegó y cuando me preguntó si me gustaría un té o café que nunca llegó! Así que un poco mas de atención a chicos detalle tendría un 5 :)

Encantador restaurante si quieres sentarte y comer comida para llevar, también muy frescos y cocinados, gran personal decoración bonita y muy escaso. Usted puede tomar su propia bebida. Sin duda lo recomiendo.

Este es un típico restaurante de la India street, nada de lujos, pero sabes que tendrás un buen curry. En determinadas noches ofrecen te permite traer tu pripia bedida alcohólica que es genial para un grupo.

We always order from here, the food is always hot and fresh and tastes good. Sometimes it varies slightly but still as tasty as ever. Cheap too.

This restaurant should be packed every night given the great quality of the food. We're regulars and often take other local people here for the first time, people who eat 'Indian' food out regularly, and they soon adopt it as their Leigh curry house of choice. The mainly young staff are pleasant and it's BYO alcohol which makes it a great value night out! But, above all, it's the quality of the food........

My experience of Indiana in Leigh on sea is not great. Firstly as an unlicensed restaurant i expect waiters to be attentive and if they see customers looking round for their wine or beer to be opened, to be at your side opening it without having to chase them up. I understand in terms of religion they may not wish to open alchohol themselves, but being attentive enough to bring open a bottle opener or corkscrew is standard practise without being asked(we had to ask after a 15 minute wait). Secondly service was very slow, i can forgive this somewhat due to a big group of us, however when staff are chatting at the bar and not clearing tables when there is no space for the next course to be served or main dishes being served around 15 minutes before our friend's main dishes is not acceptable and timing was clearly an issue in a busy enviroment. Now as someone who regularly cooks indian cusine both to authentic standards and to BIR (British Indian Restaurant) standard i can say the food was a little below my standards. Our chicken tikka starter was heavily overspiced with Cumin, and lacked sweetness. Our main meal of Dhansak had no sweetness but over flavoured with lentells which gives nothing more than an Earthy flavour (Dhansak should be sweet and sour) and the chilli added gave a heat not far off a standard vindaloo (luckily i am a chilli head). Our Sag Aloo however was very very good and the Pilau was spot on. All in all, i really wanted to enjoy our evening and i feel with some heavy tweaks to service, a little adaption to the meal recipes you could have a top restaurant. The toilets were spotless, and i felt the background music could have been a little higher to fill the silence in the restaurant.

We have eaten at Indiana on many occasions and the food is always very very good, we have never had a bad meal, or takeaway for that matter (would definitely recommend the take away as well).What also makes this restaurant good is that it is a bring your own alcohol restaurant which helps keep the costs down if you are on a budget.The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and can never do enough for you.Definitely worth a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Came here with my girlfriend on a Friday night. Sat in the corner and completely forgotten about. As id had enough of being ignored we decided to leave which brought out a very rude waiter that wanted us to pay for our popadoms which we didn't even touch! When i wanted him to wrap them up for us as id paid for them he was very rude about it. I will never set foot in this place ever again

First visit here having been told about it by a few people. Food was delicious. Stuck to favourites for this visit to compare tastes and it was all great. Tikka massala had a bit more of a kick than a lot of places which was good. Nothing was greasy. Portions were big. Poppadums were lovely and fresh which we have not enjoyed for a long time. If you want alcohol you have to take your own but their is an off licence a couple of doors away so not a big problem.Definitely go back and try one of their different recipes. It was busy for a tuesday so obviously popular so probably need to book.

Took far to long to come King prawn korma had hardly prawns in Shame because I've had take aways from here before and it's always been great.

Ordered a delivery for Benfleet, arrived 25 minutes early, hot & the food was very nice!

I have been pleased with the food from here but was disappointed this time. The rice was clumped together, the bombay potatoes were hard and the naan was burnt making it very chewy.

Food took over an hour to arrive. But it was by far the best Indian we have had in a long time. Food wasn't greasy, was very spicy. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Took them over an hour to cook a takeaway meal when we ordered we were told 18.35 when we got there at 18.35 we were told it hasd been changed to 18.55 without myself being notified then I come back at 18.55 to wait for another 25 minutes. Absolutely rediculous that it should take that long for a takeaway to be picked up!. Then when we got it home the food was a disappointment!.
