Outstanding. Came to the restaurant late last night after the football. Very welcoming and friendly staff. The food was perfect. So fresh and cooked perfectly. I've too often in the last left Indian restaurants feeling overly full after oily and rich food, but not here. It really is sublime. 10/10

Amazing set menu and excellent service 🤩

Living very close to the restaurant makes it my local Indian. Nice, humble and easygoing staff. Got there with no booked table and they managed to find as a table for 3. Food is just great. Being a fish and seafood lover, I never hesitate to go for the Seafood Moilee, it is just a fantastic mix of sea flavour with spices and coconut. I also had as starter the Saloni Salmon Tikka, really nice flavour. Service is really nice, Sam and Abdul always making sure nothing is missing. Overall really good experience...again.

Went for a works meal. 12 people in our group. They gave us the back room to ourselves. Good food. Speedy service. I enjoyed it. There was a decent banquet menu for £20. Lamb Rogan Josh was the best I have had. Melt in the mouth lamb. So hard to find.

Food was excellent, you could see all the constituents of the curry dishes. Looked freshly prepared and tasted excellent. Service was friendly and prompt. Looking forward to a return visit again.

We found this place by accident after failing to find any pubs serving food on Sunday evening during our city break to Bristol. What a stroke of luck! It was quite possibly the best Indian meal I've ever had. Usually we get full up and cannot finish our curry, but our plates were clean and we enjoyed every single mouthful. We are going to London for a curry later this month but they will be hard-pushed to beat this. I just wish we didn't live 75 miles away! Thank you for feeding us so well. 🥰

Absolutely delicious meal. The vegetable samosa and vegetable jalfrezi were absolutely stunning - best ever (& I've had a few) - and all other dishes first class. Service swift and very friendly. Highly highly recommended.

THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST CURRY IN BRISTOL. the Dahl and madras were absolutely to die for and so was the chicken tikka. The staff was also absolutely lovely, so kind and respectful and attentive. Nice portion sizes as well - could not have been happier with my meal!

Excellent curry, I have been here many times. The starters are excellent (especially the Paneer tikka) and the curries are well priced for the level of quality.

The food was absolutely delicious. The staff were attentive, professional and courteous. I will definitely be coming back and have been recommending it to everyone. Atmosphere was a bit quiet but we were there at non peak time which is the reason. Can't rave about this restaurant enough really.

Had a lovely meal with friends, food was made to be a little fancy, just stick to the basics and quality ingredients. Overall delicious, service was good with friendly staff. Limited English from the waiter but he understood what we wanted with some light encouragement. Atmosphere was great, nice decorations and music.

I wanted somewhere special to go to for my 70th Birthday. I was not disappointed. In fact, I could not fault the whole experience. The staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The menu provided a wide range of dishes and was able to cater for my wife's dairy-free diet. The food was absolutely fabulous. I find that, at many Indian restaurants, the food flavours are very much of a muchness. Not at the Rassasy! There was something subtly different and interesting. Not only that, but the Rassasy is one of the few Indian restaurants I have been to that actually offers Indian desserts. I am a big fan of Gulab Jamun, so to get that, with ice cream(!), was heaven. If you like Indian food you simply must try the Rassasy. I don't think you will be disappointed. My only cautionary note would be that, if you are travelling by car, make sure that you know where you can park. There is a small amount of on-road parking directly in front of the restaurant, but make sure you have a plan B if those spaces are all taken up. The restaurant did say I could ring them if I had a problem. In the end, I opted to go by taxi to avoid any problems with parking.

We run the nearby Baltic Wharf CAMC campsite and we are careful where we suggest our guests go for dinner. For us, Indian Rassasy is an easy one! Two dinner visits and a takeaway over the last few weeks in a city where we have a ‘don’t repeat the eat’ rule due to the volume of amazing places says it all. Sam and his team present an unparalleled relaxed atmosphere with the exact amount of attention needed, on top of the absolute best of ingredients brought out in the most authentic and wonderfully prepared food. A hidden gem that we genuinely and happily recommend to anyone looking for wonderful Indian cuisine this side of the harbour.

Simply the best Indian restaurant in Bristol. Staff are genuinely friendly and the food is out of this world. You will be planning your return visit before you have finished your meal.

We went to Indian Rassasy about a month ago for my sister’s 18th birthday as she wanted Indian food and we probably couldn’t have chosen a better place! The food and the presentation was top notch, the staff were very attentive & the atmosphere was lovely. We especially recommend the starter prawns and their amazing nans. Everything was DELICIOUS! They even brought sis a drink & a cake to celebrate her big day! Thank you to the owner & staff, we will be back!

Very pleasant experience and service. Sufficient choice of vegetarian dishes (not just one) which is surprisingly a challenge at a lot of other establishments. Tasty selection of dips with the papadums. Would go again!

We ordered 6 various meals. Unfortunately, all were far spicier than expected - especially the Butter Chicken and the Tikka Marsala

Lovely little place, the ambience inside was very homely and the staff was polite. Felt the portion sizes were a little lackluster compared to similar establishments. And the toilets could do with a doing up, however all in all, a great experience, don't think I'll be going again on a student budget.

We have visited this wonderful restaurant many times and have always been impressed by both the consistent outstanding service, presentation and quality of the food. It's a rare restaurant that maintains its high standards but the Indian Rassasy is the exception. We continue to be impressed with their service and quality of the food. The new menu is worth going again for alone. If you have not been, it's well worth the visit. They continue to surprise me with the quality and service. Five years on and it's still as good as ever

Quite honestly the best curry I've had in the south west in the 8 years I've been here. I tend to avoid curries as being from up north I have hight standards 😂 BUT I'm glad we chose a curry tonight 29/2/14 Flavoursome tasty. Very friendly staff. Would 10/10 recommend and will be back next time we're in Bristol.

Welcomed by charming staff who were very attentive all evening. Very different menu to your average Indian restaurant. Our party of 4 all chose different main course dishes, not our usual choices, and we were all delighted with our meal. At the end of the meal one of the staff asked if this was our first visit to the restaurant, which I thought was quite impressive! Will definitely be returning soon.

A really lovely restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, friendly and extremely polite staff, and most importantly, really delicious food. Also good for allergy sufferers as the staff have good knowledge of ingredients, how things are cooked and also have allergens shown on the menu. A lovely meal overall - we will come again

Had a meal here tonight 23/01/2024, was absolutely fabulous. There were 3 of us and we all said the same. Meal, decor , ambience and of course the staff were excellent. We will certainly be returning and spreading the word. My only fear is that as more people get to hear of the place we will have to wait longer to book. Well done and thank you.

Our first visit to this eatery although we know the venue well. It was a bitter cold night so it was lovely to sit by a radiator. The good was delicious, served professionally in lovely china. The food was hot & the whole experience was great

Each dish was absolutely delicious and service was great. I went for my birthday and hadn’t realised my partner had told them, I got a complimentary glass and cake which were both lovely. First time here but will definitely be coming back ! Best dinner we have had out in ages - the staff’s matching Christmas jumpers made it even better.

Exceptionally good Indian restaurant. Atmosphere, service, cuisine all perfect. Went here about a month ago and also last year and both times had the same fantastic experience.. Most recent visit was a Sunday evening walk-in around 8pm and the place had a really cosy buzz with lots of people at a time most places would be empty or very quiet. The front of house team are really professional and the food coming out from the kitchen is some of the best Indian food you'll eat. Would love to see a Naga chilli dish appear on the menu!!

The most amazing curry house and Indian food I've ever had in my life. We had a set menu with my fiancee... The quality of food was outstanding...the service on the highest level... prices acceptable for the quality of food. I'm not going into details of what we had but we'll definitely be coming back. Some of the best Indian food I've had in a long time. We had the dhaba lamb and the king prawns, both excellent. Looking forward to trying the fish curry next time.
