Indian Kitchen in Blackburn with Darwen

This is old school curry. Go in, explain what you want and they will make it for you right in front of you. I had naga lamb and chef spiced it perfectly by eye and I was on my way in minutes with the best naga I've ever had. Hot is hot and medium is medium. I will be back.

When ordering 4 curries of different varieties its hard to miss the half empty trays. Curries that should be extra spicy werent. In all honesty they all tasted the same. Keema naan is good though.

Each week same order but different prices on delivery. Have to phone to sort out payments, even the delivery drivers are confused. Normally dealt with after a phone call where we all agree the price. This week i ordered the same items and i asked for the price before it was delivered, on delivery it was another £3 extra, a call was made and it was classed as a delivery charge ...which was not mentioned when i ordered. I am walking distance from the outlet and even the delivery driver agreed that the charge was out of order. The food is good but the pricing on delivery needs to be addressed as it is not clear to the customer. I was charged the extra £3.00 because the girl who took my order did not live in Blackburn and was unfamiliar with the area, but she cannot charge everyone just because she does not know the area. Very angry customer!!!

So after Walking Wednesday we really couldn’t be bothered cooking (mainly because we forgot to get something out). So I decided to treat us to a take out. Now having not been in the area long we are pretty new to the takeaways in the area. We have had a Chinese a bit back, which was very good, but it’s shut on Wednesday. So Indian was the choice tonight. After a bit of reviewing of the local ones we chose The Indian Kitchen. And it’s the closest. Reasonably priced and the delivery was VERY quick. Food was excellent. Great quality and taste, good portions too. Will defo use again.

Ordered from Indian Kitchen take away 3 times now. Each time the food has been hot and very tasty. The food beats most Indian restaurants that we that eaten at in the area. Highly recommended!

Ordered a mild / medium minced lamb curry from ake away. Ended up with chicken chunks in an uneatably hot sauce. Naan was awful stale too. Waste of money for 2 poeple. I rang the restraunt to complain but to no avail. We wont use this place again.
