Indian Gymkhana Club in Hounslow

Our ladies group met at IG for meeting & dinner. Paneer Tikka was too dry and inedible. Staff were rude and refused to replace the item. Manager was disrespectful and not ready accept poor quality of food. I will think twice before going there again.

I organised an Event in The Indian Gymkhana Amika Paul Hall. It was Ideal for 27 Persons. Plenty of space to dance. The food was Excellent High Quality. Excellent waiter service. Everyone enjoyed this experience. The Manager Kaz was very helpful.

Have been there a number of time for a bit to eat and few drinks with friends,but have been very disappointed with the food so hardly recommend or visit,this has changed as I visited recently and to my surprise we decided to take a chance and eat there too,the food was great,I would suggest the serving needs a bit improving as its slow.but overall the experience of eating there again was great .

Food was amazing staff are really friendly, starters and main vegi options are great value for the price, you can even get to watch a live cricket match, local teams having fun

Visited on an off chance when in the area.... surprised at the great quality of the food - great place to sit back, watch sports on the in-door screens or a live cricket match between the local teams.

This has been a favourite for a number of years, but after yesterday evening’s experience, we won’t be using it again. Not sure if they think they can get away with sub-standard food for deliveries (we usually eat in or collect) but what we received was poor and very disappointing. Papadi chat, matar paneer & chilli chicken were ok but not up to their restaurant standard, but the butter chicken was over-salted and my wife’s lamb masala was basically inedible. Add to this the fact that their prices have gone through the roof and, for some reason they add a service charge ( on a takeaway??) and you end up with a complete waste of nearly 55 quid. We shall be returning to our tried and tested regular, Spice Magic on Northfields - much better food at half the price. ☹️

I had 3 friends from Oxford visiting me on a Sunday. 2 of them restaurant owners. They wanted to go to southall for shopping and and to eat appetizers before dinner at home. I took them to Indian gymkhana for the appetizers they had never been there. It was not crowded as usual we ordered drinks and peanuts . The peanuts were Great well spiced and tasted great. I went to the bar and ordered them Sheekh Kabaabs Mixed grill and Naans. I had asked the bar tender to make sure the Kabaabs were not over COOKED. The food arrived in good time looked good. The Kabaabs were on the Money the best I have had for a long time my friends also enjoyed them. They were not over spiced the NAANS were soft and tasty. The mix grill I enjoyed the Tandoori chicken and chicken tikka the lamb chops were the only down fall over cooked and over spiced. I wish we could have tried their mains. Next time my friend will make a point to come back. The BOTTOM line cant go wrong with the sheekh kabaabs very good.

Good Banqueting Hall, Fresh hot food was served to us during the event. Helpful waiters and Management. The recommended dj was really good, created a really nice atmosphere. The venue has plenty of parking for guests. It also has a member Club bar upstairs for sports fans.

This is a social sports club on the first floor of a sports club. But its first appearance is deceiving and it doubles as a great place to meet up with friends for a drink, food and/or to watch live sports in an informal atmosphere. The beer selection is good and fairly priced. There is no dedicated table service but the bar staff take your orders; the food seems to be cooked in the kitchens below and is delivered to your table by the bar staff. As they seem to rely on a computer terminal for the orders, there is little scope to tailor items or add extras which are not on the menu like extra chilis or lemon - this is a shame but the staff try to assist in getting these for you if its not too busy. The atmosphere is informal and the food tasty. Live sports are projected on to the screens on match days (football and cricket) but otherwise it feels like a pub. The portions are adequate and the food is reasonably priced. Don't go there if you want to take a date to a high end restaurant with fancy table service as you will be disappointed but its great for an informal get-together with friends. I expect that they struggle with food orders for larger groups (I don't know as I only go with smaller groups of 4 to 6 people which they can cope with) but if you are patient and enjoy a drink whilst waiting, I should imagine its fine. Worth a visit.

It’s true, and others will say it as well. Visited many times. It’s a sports and social club with a bar and restaurant. Eat in - though reserve a table at weekends as it gets busy - particularly on big match Saturdays. Food is consistently brilliant - North Indian style, intense, delicious - and very reasonably priced.

I came here to eat on 7th April 2019 with a family of 13. We ordered lots of food but were not very satisfied. Firstly, alcoholic drinks bought outside of the premises are not permitted and if you do bring something from outside you are permanently banned. This is a great pain as drinks are very expensive for small portions. If you think that is bad then this is even worse, 3L of any drink is £16!!! In tescos i could buy 32L worth of drinks for that price. The food isnt anything special and you could get the same taste for half the price in any other establishment. The service is the worst bit though, the 2 servers were terrible and did not listen, i am furious at their incompetence and the fact that they couldnt do a simple task such as listening to my order! The server gave me 4 full portions of kebabs when i asked for 4 singular kebabs! The hygiene isnt very good here either and i wouldnt eat off a plate without wiping it myself first. Defo wouldnt recommend this to anyone looking for a nice meal. 2/5 not much good stuff here

We organised our daughters second birthday party here on 9th February and we got exceptional service from staff. All our guests were very happy with the venue. Food was excellent. We had a great party overall.

Evening out with the mates, watching football, splendid atmosphere, great food and drinks, fun nights, plenty of parking.

Great food great prices ,service a bit slow ,try the Dhaba chicken the portions are good nd the price well worth it ,overall a good ambience ,children friendly too

I hired Indian Gymkhana Banqueting in November 2018 to do a Diwali function with a community group that I manage. There was approximately 150 delegates. We had a dinner dance type event with a DJ and dance floor, entertainment etc. I had a very good experience with Indian Gymkhana and I would like to thank Qays, Nelson and Kulvir for allowing me to have such a brilliant and memorable night. My experience is as below: 1) The Indian Gymkhana is a good, spacious venue with sizeable inside and outside space. They have very good facilities including a dance floor and mood lighting. They have a well-stocked cash bar with friendly guy (Kulvir) serving. The banquet hall can host anything from 100 to 300 delegates. 2) Qays was extremely helpful when helping me to put a package together. He listens to the client’s needs and he does his best to accommodate the clients requirements. He was professional at all times in helping me get the perfect package based on my budget. Unlike other banquet establishments these guys actually listen to what the client needs and tailor their services in the best possible way. 3) Indian Gymkhana went the extra mile for us. Because this was a Diwali event we had all sorts of requirements example we wanted the dance floor increased, we wanted access to the outside area to do fireworks etc. They never said no to us, and where they couldn’t fulfil what we wanted due to other health and safety restraints they always helped to think of alternative solutions. I found them very proactive in this respect. 4) The food and the service was very good. I ordered all vegetarian dishes and the food was very tasty. The service was brilliant and efficient. I had a very strict itinerary where we wanted the starters served at a particular time and the mains served at a particular time, these guys were phenomenal and punctual. 5) The staff were very friendly. There were 3 main people who I liaised with: Qays Mir, Nelson Ricky and Kulvir Singh. All three were friendly at all times and were easy to work with. I look forward to working with them again. Thanks once again to Indian Gymkhana for allowing me to have such a brilliant event. It was a memorable night which we won’t forget. All my guests were in praise for the venue. As authentic as they come. Some liquor selection is from India. Great smelling food with outside BBQ in the summer, whilst watching the club cricket and hockey teams play. Local crowd; family orientated. Indian Gymkhana offer pitch hire for ball sports.

We were at a business / celebration meal at this restaurant. We had a private room Good very good. It felt very authentic Not really a cosy restaurant. Felt a bit more like a social club. But such good food. Would recommend if more for the food than the surroundings

We had a smashing family and friends do at the Indian Gymkhana for 170 people. The mocktail and drinks were great. Indian food was well served in three courses. The hall is very children friendly. Highly recommended.
