Indian Cottage in Staffordshire Moorlands

Some call it fine dining ( we call it small portions). It’s not for us. We had to go elsewhere for a feed afterwards. Nice food but tiny portions. I did make a issue, yet the offer of a Baileys. Eeer. Not. Sorry won’t be visiting again

We popped in on a last minute decision to grab some food. We hadn't booked but luckily they were able to seat us. They told us we could only have the table for a certain amount of time, but wasn't an issue at all as the service was so swift. The staff were very attentive and excellent. The portions were huge and the price really reasonable. We loved all our dishes and, if we're in the area again, we will definitely return!

enjoyable, not been in a while. Will use again. It was busy - a good sign, nice to see. Would recommend, nothing else to say, staff were very polite.

Actually ordered a takeaway from here. I used to eat in this restaurant over 30 years ago and it was top notch then. Have to say the takeaway did not disappoint, one of the best curry’s I’ve had in a long time. Would highly recommend

Booked a meal here for 16 of us for a special occasion. As always the staff are very efficient and happy to help, the restaurant was very busy on a Saturday evening, the service was excellent as always. We all had different starters and mains and they all arrived at the same time which was great. Everyone had a delicious meal, 18 of us had visited a couple of months previously and it was just as good. We have been going to the Indian Cottage restaurant for many years and the food is always very good, even the takeaways are lovely too. We would recommend this restaurant and hope to return soon.

We visited here on the 15th December on a works night out, there were 25 of us. Every single meal was beautiful, very flavoursome, all food hot, hot plates and nobody had to wait. For a party of that size that takes some doing. What an excellent evening well done India Cottage

Booked in here for a works do, have never actually been before so wasn’t sure what to expect although I’d heard good things. The food is spot on as is the service. My wife ordered of the early bird menu which is a fantastic deal and a good selection on offer, the onion bhaji were the nicest I’ve ever tasted, light an crispy with a nice soy type sauce. For the main I opted for the chilli masala as I like a hot curry and it was delicious as was the garlic keema naan 👌🏻., all washed down nicely with a nice crisp pint of cobra. Will most definitely return. All the guys worked really hard and delivered a great service considering there was nearly 30 of us plus other covers they had booked in, thank you for a great night to all at India cottage.

Staff are very attentive and courteous. Not too busy at 1900hrs. Food is very tasty, but rice and chips portions are a little small in my opinion.

Great food, we've eaten here for the last 3 years and never had a single complaint. Very attentive staff. Superb kadai Lamb and chicken achari. We won't go anywhere else

We visit lots of Indian restaurants. Food was very nice , yet their wasn’t much of it. Very poor portions. Slow service. Restaurant was well over booked, prioritising the takeaway orders.

Initially, we wanted to go to the Kismet, but it was full, so we ended up here. There weren’t many people in the restaurant. Now I know why. The portions were the smallest I’ve ever seen in an Indian. Even the rice was a half portion. The taste of the food was ok, but noting to write home about. And the bill?? A lot! The food was on the expensive side too. I would avoid and look elsewhere for a curry in Burslem.

Me & my partner have been eating here for many years. So it was a surprise to see different owners! All I can say is I’m very impressed with the food,It was excellent! The staff are all very friendly & we will definitely be returning. Thanks for the fantastic food definitely recommend. 5 stars

Haven’t been for years but it’s just as good as it was back then. Very fast service. Can’t fault it.

Had onion bargi and chicken tikka biriyani food was lovely staff were great. Did not have wait to long highly recommend and would go again

Been here a few times now and have always had a great curry.. Plenty of spice and good portions. Would give this place a 9 out of 10. Very good and pleasant staff also.

There is 5 of us after a night out so it was pick a curry house time. We found this place and I would recommend this restaurant very highly, the service was good, friendly and quick it was late so the place wasn’t that busy, but when the food arrived it was outstanding, all 5 of us had different dishes and we all loved our meals, I must say I also loved the chips Will definitely be back, Thanks.

Ordered a chicken tikka masala And a chicken curry . Chicken in the masala was white and cooked properly, "chicken in the curry" Was terrible! This is my so called chicken, it was dry cold and undercooked, after spitting it out, I cut open all my "chicken" and learnt that my chicken isn't chicken. It was in fact turkey and even spelt like turkey. (I hate turkey) I cut open a piece of chicken from the masala. And it was white and that was deffo chicken, I phone up and was spoken to like crap! Argued with me on the phone telling me to phone trading standards, I have currently put my so called chicken in a tub and it will be sent off to be checked! If that's not turkey then it's undercooked chicken that you can oviously see on the pictures and still clucking on my plates! Didn't even offer me a replacement or refund, I'm sat here with a chef who poked and prodded my "chicken" and said it was deffo turkey . The cheeky so and so's. Hopefully it will be proved when the results come back . Food was covered in grease and our curries were swimming in grease + everything was cold and dry ! Will not be ordering again. Shame really because this was my Favourite curry house

Ordered food for collection!!! Food was excellent highly recommended... Every item off food we had was fantastic.... We do normally eat in the restaurant which is one of the best in stoke on Trent !!!! Highly recommended

Me and my fiancé visited after having a couple of drinks around town. The food was lovey and at a reasonable price. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

We had an evening meal before a poetry reading at the town hall. The set meal was chosen, which was good value with plenty to eat. The service was excellent and very friendly.

after having a good night out in burslem my wife & myself decided to try this restaurant as it looked quite appealing from the outside,we were not disappointed we were shown to our table straight away the food & service was excellent real big fat homemade chips were amazing also balty were spot on we will definetly be back again. well worth a visit if you are in burslem.

Reservamos una mesa para ocho personas. Era un sábado noche y extremadamente ocupados (debo a restaurantes indios en una noche de sábado).El lugar estaba abarrotado y demasiadas mesas para el tamaño de la habitación y la cantidad de personas. Estábamos literalmente atrás como sardinas n difícilmente podría moverse.Como de costumbre parecía corto de personal, extremadamente ocupados, así que en consecuencia no muy atento y muy miserable, destacó personal (veo esto en india restsurants todo el tiempo).Se puede perdonar todo lo anterior si tienes comida decente. Dios mío mi curry fue el peor iv he probado. El pollo estaba seco como cartón n totalmente insípido. Me encanta la comida hindú y este fue el peor de todos. Pocas personas dijeron lo mismo.Nunca vayas a este restaurante de nuevo!

Haven't actually eaten in the restaurant but we regularly have take out from here. Frankly, we are addicted! Highly recommended.

Llegando a más de nosotros mientras estamos comiendo intentando limpiar que realmente no me sentía cómodo con sólo unos momentos después de vaciar nuestros platos balti, me sentí como si me tuve que parar de comer para ellos para aclarar. El personal era educado, pero necesita más, y todo parecía sonreír bastante miserable. Volvería de nuevo, pero sin duda no sería mi primera elección. También teniendo en cuenta una clasificación de higiene alimentaria de 3.

Comida excelente, el personal era maravilloso. Este lugar tiene una gran atmósfera. El personal es muy atento. La comida es deliciosa. Volveremos muy pronto.

We went to Indian cottage on the off chance Wednesday night before new year we were welcomed in and taken to our table. staff were very friendly and offered us the menu and wine list we had starters and main courses and the food was out of this world and price was very reasonable. We will be bistro ring again very soon

Amazing food at this restraunt but need to speed up taking orders and delivering you food to your table. Very friendly staff who are polite and gentle!

Lovely little restaurant and the staff are very friendly , I've been a few times but we went again on Friday night we booked a table for 8 and we also took a cake we us to celebrate a friends graduation we delivered the cake when they opened at 5 and they kept it chilled till we finished our meal around 9 our table was booked for 7.30 . The meals where lovely tbh that's wrong the meal was outstanding , full of taste which you could really feel that you was in India but you weren't as we was only sitting in little Burslem , total cost was around £20 per person that's including starter , main and three rounds of drinks , I would recommend to a friend and I'd definitely would go back ;-)

Good and tasty food for a good price. Vast variaty to choose from. Didn;t waited to much to be served. Worth a visit., .
