Loved it there! Such nice people :)

Decided to grab lunch there on a recent visit to Camden but what a disaapointment it was. The place itself was really well set out with traditional Indian decor and felt comfortable. The staff seemed very helpful and polite. We ordered mains of Rogan and from then on it went downhill. Our food arrived and was very poor and pretty tasteless. The rogan looked like it had never seen a tomato in it's life and apart from the few meagre pieces of lamb was simpla stewed mush. Ordered a plain rice and a pilau. The pilau had a sprinkling of turmeric and a few other bits on top but underneath was just plain rice. In all the food was very sub standard in my opinion. Finally the price advertised was not what you paid! All prices were subject to VAT and they also charged a service charge. Both of these charges were not made clear unless you went outside and read the smallest of print bottom left of their menu. We felt ripped off and will never go there again.

very nice food, cocktails and staff! also located right at the camden market which is really nice if you want to take a little stroll through camden after (and im a big fan of camden and the camden market) would very much recommend going to this restaurant!!

The manager with the black mark on cheek, such a rude guy. Just asked for a help, and said how would i khow?? Please train them properly, how to speak with the customers. Worst experience ever in this place.

Simple and efficient Indian restaurant. The waiter was very friendly and smiling which made the place pleasant. The wraps we ordered were good but nothing more. The price is not higher than what you can find in this tourist area.

Upon entering, I immediately questioned the emptiness during lunchtime. Unfortunately, the food was subpar, and the staff seemed unhappy, providing meager portions. The only redeeming quality was the decor. Regrettably, I won’t be coming back.

The food is ok, but the bread used to be fresh (but not anymore). It is also a pity that the food in the restaurant is served in disposable plates and bowls. Note that a 10% service charge will automatically be added to the bill. No toilets.

Delicious. To me, tastes authentic, all of the flavours are transparent which requires a high degree of skill in the kitchen. I would recommend this over Dishoom.

Had biryani and butter chicken with paratha with pinit grigo and IPA. Savoured the food while listening to rock and roll music.

We have tried this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. Nothing is ever too much. Great service, great food and a banging birthday song.

Chicken was good but totally disappointed with the paneer was so chew it was hard for me to eat it so literally had to throw it in the bin

Tried the biriyani and it was amazing. The staff is very accommodating as well and puts in their 100% to make sure guests have a pleasant experience. Must visit!

Hello, i would like to talk of my experience. i went to this restaurant camden alley just because of google. when we got there hardly anyone was inside eating and i found that strange. after waiting 10 minutes for no service i was forced to get up to ordered two curries myself. i asked to use the toilet just to wash my hands but they did't have one. we waited roughly around 20 minutes for food that came out luke warm in paper containers. the taste of the rice was similar to ( sainsbury's ) microwaved riced very fake and plasticky. however i carried on eating and at some point i needed another drink, and with no waiter in sight i got up to ask for another one at the bar. the quality of food was extremely poor in taste almost effortless with flavours or microwaved. i went to pay and they charged a service charge of 34% plus a vat charge, that turned £52 into £69 i would never go back to this place and if i were you would look elsewhere unless you enjoy microwaved foods.

Rude unwelcoming staff, okay food. Much better options in Camden Market!!!

We had a table outside as was a hot afternoon, menu was a bit on the small side not much choice , but food was good. A little expensive but using the 20% discount made it better.

Small portions, overpriced and tried to charge me with a non compulsory surchage without asking

All the dishes were very spicy and quite hot and it wasn't mentioned in advance. All dishes were served on single use plates which we didn't like so much Both Thali dishes had only 3 pieces of meet.

Réservation sur the Fork, nous avons eu un peu de mal à trouver et nous sommes arrivés avec 30 minutes de retard. Personne au resto. Seul le personnel qui nous attendait et nous a fait la réduction prévue sans avoir à demander. Très bon butter chicken bien relevé !!

Tasty food but small portions on the thali

The food is overpriced for what it is. Service fairly quick but table was sticky.

Not satisfied at all.... Nice place with outdoor tables where you can find some tipical indian dishes. I found the menu too expensive in relation to other restaurants with the same food offer. Then the food offer was very tiny as the portions were too. Not the best restaurant of the Market at all.

Sorry I didn't enjoy my meal in here I had spinach and cheese curry which looked like a bowl of pureed spinning woth cheese in it ..it was spicy as well, however my freind had something else off the menu with chick pees and she said that was delish

Complete shambles when it comes to understanding gluten in food. I ate what I later realised contained gluten and I'm a ceoliac. When I questioned if any of it had gluten in, I was told the roti does, I know that I'm Asian. I was more interested in the rest of the food. The chef didn't give me a clear answer and neither did the person working behind the bar. Alarm bells should have been ringing but the food stated no gluten. Three hours later I was very poorly. I have tried to call the restaurant and emailed and still had no reply. I would suggest if you have allergies you avoid. I've given it a 1 star as I can't pick anything less.

Un hindú interesante en pleno mercado de Candem. La cocina no se diferencia del resto de indios pero aunque no sorprende tampoco es mala. Una buena opción para comer sentado y en una mesa en vez de pedir en los infinitos puestos de comida callejera cercanos.

En un lugar turístico como éste es agradable poder comer el mismo tipo de comida callejera de los puestos de alrededor pero sentado en una mesa y servido por camareros.

Some of the food was ok, but there was only us and 1 other person in the restaurant, you are certainly treated differently while using the yums. The waiter brought cold plates to our table, never before have I experienced this, this made the food cold very quickly, the spinach dishes were like mush and not very nice. I don't think I will go there again

Absolute disaster. Worst butter chicken I’ve ever tried. Paranthas & seekh kabab were most likely frozen. Avoid if you can!

Just remember folks you pay 10% on top of the listed price for a pint here and they won't tell you unless you notice. I guess you pay the 'bar -tender' for the challenging task of pouring a pint...🤔

This is NOT Indian food. I’m Indian and 73 years old… eaten lots of it. As well as cooked it. The spinach and potato saag was just dry tinned spinach with no tadka or proper masala. I’m still shocked that they’re passing this off as Indian food. This just brings our cuisine shame. Again this is not Indian food. Sadly disappointed was looking forward to having a thali after ages. The staff are however great and polite and the decor is authentic and rustic. Sort out the food and you could gain real popularity!

Nice staff, but the food was really not good and kid sized. No wonder the place was empty on a super busy Saturday. Guys, make the portions normal sized and use some spices! The place itself is really nice. What a waste of opportunity to be buzzing and famous!

I would avoid! Really overpriced. The staff are friendly but once served they avoid you because out of the embarrassment due to the poor standard of the dishes. I had a thali and the portions size is terrible, the curries seem to be blended and taste of the plastic tray it’s served in.

We ordered the Thali Box and Curry Box. The portions for both were an insult. 3 tiny pieces of chicken floating in a mediocre sauce accompanied by rice. Shockingly bad especially for the price

Je recommande complètement ! Niveau service, c’était des jeunes hommes très agréables, à l’écoute et de bons conseils ! Côté cuisine, c’était super. De bonnes entrées et de bons plats. Juste je trouve ça dommage d’être servie avec des barquettes dans des assiettes. Autant utiliser l’un ou l’autre. Je mets une étoile en moins pour le patron ou le responsable de salle, qui de façon tranquille arrive à 13:00 alors que le service à déjà commencé depuis un petit bout de temps. J’ai vu et ressenti un certain mépris de sa part et envers les cuisiniers et les serveurs, et je n’aime pas ça. Il corrigeait absolument tout ce que faisait les serveurs, alors que tout allait bien. J’espère une remise en question de sa part et un effort sur sa façon de traiter ses collègues. Mais je garde un bon souvenir, j’ai trouvé ça super bon et le cadre est super !

The food was authentic yummy but limited to a few choices. A touch pricey for street food but hey we were in Camden so it's expected. Cocktails were yummy and not from a machine so that was good. I had the lamb biryani Which had some decent amounts of lamb chunks. Hubs had the chicken biryani but said he didn't get much chicken in it. My 12 Yr old had the curried fries which we all had some of and really liked. They don't have a sauce but instead have a flavourful curried seasoning all over them. Delicious! Not much atmosphere in the place and a bit chilly when the doors get left open. Also they have no toilets on site so you have to use the public ones very close by, which was a bit rubbish for changing a baby but we made do. Turn over of people was pretty fast and the service was attentive and good but not the friendliest or smiliest of Indian restaurants. I'd recommend this place for some tasty, quick and filling lunch with a nice cocktail.

Cheap but the chicken curry just includes two pieces of chicken. They don’t have toilets in the restaurant.

We only had drinks (to shelter from the rain). But the food looked and smelled great!

We came here with my parents and our baby. We had different types of vegan curry. The food was delicious and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The open space of the restaurant is beautifully decorated, full of fairy lights and has an amazing vibe to it. We'll make sure to come back when we're next in the area.

Really lovely food and good size portions. Starters were excellent. My friends had the Thali and were very happy. It even came with dessert. I had 2 small curries with rice and naan and was very pleased with everything. Naan was fresh out of the oven and helped me clear everything off the plates. Looking forward to another visit to spend my Yums.

Y aller pour la décoration du restaurant et faire une halte au chaud en plein Camden Lock. La nourriture est bonne mais un peu chère à notre goût. À noter qu’il n’y a pas de toilettes et que le paiement se fait en carte bancaire.

food wasnt good, so we politely returned it, but the staff became aggresive and acted honestly unprofessionaly. they started inviting us and disrespected everyone, didnt agree to taste the food when it was obviously off, were furious and basicaly rudely kickedus out. very unprofessional, no refund, nothing.

Sitio totalmente recomendable si te gusta la comida india con todas sus especias y su picante. Rápido, personal atento y amable y buena relación precio/cantidad/calidad.

We have been to this restaurant twice in the course of as many weeks and have now committed to holding my 60th birthday party there too. Being of Indian origin and with a wife who can churn up high-quality Indian meals at home, we rarely go to any Indian restaurant in London and if we do, we come away thinking that the food wasn't good or the quantity insufficient or most importantly the cost was way too high. Finding one like Indian Alley is like hitting the jackpot. Indian Alley is a great addition to a quirky Camden Town area and the iconic Stables Market. The manager Nitin is very friendly and understands the person's culinary requirements perfectly. The restaurant has a good bar that serves several Indian beers on tap and has some cocktails with interesting Indian variations and names. The food is very fresh and the Naans hot out of the tandoor make it an act dififcult to follow. The menu is simple and one could eat all the dishes available or share them with friends on an evening out. The pricing of all items is very reasonable as are the quantities compared with other Central London Indian restaurants, some of which should not even be classified as Indian. It is a pity that all of Camden market seems rather desolate and lonely these days but we hope that the situation with the pandemic and travel restrictions will ease up soon bringing that bit of unstoppable buzz to Camden Town. Indian Alley is definitely our place to go to for Indian food outside of India. Well done Nitin and the Indian Alley team
