Met here for a friends get together. The atmosphere is authentic London patina’d wood pub. Food is good for the price, I had the Sunday roast beef and for £17 it was very good. Good beer selection and kept well. Service could be better with a little training of the young friendly staff. Busy with British Museum opposite.

Outside tables are always a mess. They never seem to clean up empty glasses, crisp packets, used tissues, or ashtrays. It can be dead quiet inside, no customers at the bar to request anything, and the staff will just sit on their phones, no thought of tidying up, especially the outside tables on the sidewalk. This has to be the laziest pub staff in London. Such a shame.

Excellent. Very good fish and chips, just right, and the perfect potatoes. It also came with peas and pea shoots. Meatloaf also very good and perfectly cooked. Accompanied by cabbage and mashed potatoes, which was exquisite. All accompanied by two pints of Estrella de Galicia. Friendly and correct service in a beautiful Pub that is the oldest in the area. For both of us we paid 48.40 pounds which is a very good price for the quality we had.

Extraordinary!!!! A great success to enter after visiting the British Museum. A very beautiful place, old and with history. Although we had not reserved we only wait 5 minutes to eat. The delicious foot and the fish and chips the best we have eaten in London accompanied by Estrella de Galicia. Absolutely recommended to enjoy traditional English food without leaving your salary when paying. Nothing to do with what certain food chains offer. On our next trip to London we will return for sure.

It's best not to go at all. My cell phone was stolen. A woman who appeared to be homeless came in, was shown a piece of paper and was distracted by her mumbling, and then her cell phone, which was on the table, was stolen. The store clerk doesn't chase the homeless man away, and when he asks for help after his cell phone is stolen, he is generally unfriendly, saying, "That's a shame, that happens all the time." Despite paying a high price, the service from the staff is poor.

They treated us very well, everything was correct, the only thing is that, like in many places in London, you have to order at the counter to pay and take it to the table, which for the price they charge would have to be included in the price, as it is in front of the British Museum, its majority clientele is tourists.

We stopped to eat at Museum Tavern before our visit to the British Museum. We were attracted by a very suggestive and typical London pub location. In fact we were not disappointed, the environment inside, although small, was very welcoming and well laid out. It's a shame for the truly non-existent service, as soon as we entered they didn't even welcome or greet us, we then realized we had to sit alone and ask for the menu at the table aside. Another flaw in the service is certainly the fact that the food must be ordered independently at the bar, which fortunately is then brought to your table. This type of service could work if there was a person responsible only for orders and not also at the bar as in this case. We got two burgers and although they were very nice and presentable they really lacked flavor. It's a shame because the place really has potential, especially given its excellent location next to the British Museum.

The tavern was beautiful, I loved the interior decoration which was based on a typically English charm. However, in terms of food, the fish and chips I ordered did not live up to my expectations. I think it would be better to review the composition of the dishes, especially the peas, which did not go well with my dish. Despite these negative aspects, the beer was good, which adds value in my estimation.

We needed to end our long weekend in London with a few drinks and chose the tavern as it had great reviews. And we were really disappointed! Run down place, drinks were ok (hard to mess up a G&T), the bartender was busy literally picking her belly bottom behind the bar in full view, the other bartender kept the door open for way to long as he was too busy getting ready for closing hours - even though it wasn't even passed 10... We finished our drinks and left because it was unhygienic and so cold... Shame coz it looked as though it had potential...

We had the Chicken schnitzel and Cornish hake & chips, both delicious. Nice restaurant, a bit noisy inside, outside also terrace. On a nice square with other catering. Close to the kings cross station

A wonderful coffee shop with very friendly staff. One of my favourite spots in London.
