Illarios 2 in Fife

Lovely food as always. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Grandson loves his nuggets and chips. Think we will try pizza tonight.

The worst fish supper we have ever had. Rubbery batter, grey fish, wafer thin crispy chips which were inedible. Staff not very friendly. Avoid at all costs.

This place has went right down hill. The fish was disgusting, definitely not cod or haddock it was that bad my wee boy felt sick after it and it stank my whole house out. £8.00 for pure garbage, And the chips were no better . Sadly I will no be back

It started going downhill before take over. The pizza oven had not been mastered at all. Now even worse, had a pizza a couple of weeks ago and found it very lazily prepared, monster chunks (far too big) covering a soggy dough, although it was only a chip shop pizza, no pride taken at all in preparation. Thought I’d try the fish supper yesterday. Chips sort of ok but far from chip shop standard. The batter on the fish was way to thick and just horrible. Thought I’d give them a try as they are a local business but no, will go further away for far superior food, won’t be hard

I have always used this chip shop and I have never had any grounds to complain about the food being served so decided to try a pizza. Ordered a chicken and pineapple 12 inch pizza. The shop was busy and there was a bit of a long wait for myself and others in queue. The first pizza put in the oven came out burnt and not fit to eat. Another one was put in the oven and when it was ready was boxed up and given to me. I was in the shop for 30 minutes before food was given to me. There is no queuing system in the shop and the staff don't really know who is next which was annoying people in the queue. I got my pizza home and to be honest didn't really look that appetising and was also burnt in bits. I tried to eat the pizza but managed half before I gave up. It was not very nice. So to sum up. Good fish and chips Nice staff Rubbish pizza Please sort out your pizzas

Bought a fish supper a few days ago. It was great. A huge portion of both the fish and the chips. Can't complain.

This is the second time within a week I have recieved poor service from this place, lived in the village for nearly 2 years and this place was great, until the last month or so, this last week has been terrible, food not delivered when paid for and delivered 5 minutes before closing so my call was just ignored and tonight another delivery arrived cold, cheese could have been taken off the pizza and used as a frisbee it was that cold, chips were like biting into a starch filled apple. Safe to say we will not be ordering from here again

Have used illarios 2 for over 2 years now. When we first ordered the food was great… unlike any other fish and chip shop we had been to. Have actually left many good reviews for Illarios 2. You didn’t get that greasy mouth feeling during and after eating like many other takeaway’s. The chips were delicious, portions of a good size and the sausage and king rib were of decent quality. SADLY the last few times have put us off and we will no longer be ordering from here. I don’t know if the shop has went under a change of management or if they have got so busy they no longer care about quality but this place has seriously went down hill rapidly. We ordered tonight at 17:15 and our food arrived 2.5 hours later, mildly warm. Delivery driver apologised and said “we’re really busy” when I explained we had waited 2 and a half hours for our delivery. The food quality was very poor… onion rings were in a word crap (could have bought better in Iceland) cooked from frozen mush. LARD was dripping off the potato fritters. And the King Rib that I usually only like from here was terrible… the batter which normally is a different batter to the fish was cooked in the same fish batter and didn’t have the usual flavouring to it. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND SAD TO SEE SUCH A GOOD FISH AND CHIP SHOP GO DOWN HILL LIKE THIS.

This popular chip shop has all the required protection for the social distancing . The menu is really good with orders fried while you wait . The Fish and chips are a treat , I would guess that the cooking oil is different from other shops in the area as there is a real depth of flavour to them . This is a busy shop in the area but the service is fast with a smile . There is a facebook site you can check out for the latest news

Fast service quality fries ,good portions and a great menu this is the sister shop to the chip shop in Kincardine which is undergoing renovation after a fire . Friendly staff and a very busy shop
