Wonderful backstreet Italian! Great pizzas and pasta outside on the pavement. The house red at £20 a bottle was memorable. A truly Italian experience for reasonable price in this pricey area. Highly recommend!

My wife and I found this nice little family run restaurant whilst staying nearby for the weekend. We called in on Friday night for a light bite and had a simple pizza and a beer - it was so nice we came back the next night for for a full meal, starters , main and dessert.. The food is simple, well prepared, fresh and tasty, the staff are friendly and attentive and work hard for their living. as well as the Pizza I would recommend the 'Sophia Loren' Chicken - chicken breast in a white sauce with mushrooms and fresh veg and potatoes. The wife enjoyed the 'House Rose' wine and I enjoyed the Amoretti Beers... Dessert was a nice Limoncello sorbet and I had the Italian Cheeseboard - that was different from any other I have taken recently. Sardinain Bread is like a lightly toasted unleavened bread and the cheese supplied was tasty. They aways seem busy - but have the ability to make space for small or large groups by moving furniture about to suit the situation.... In all - I'd go back. Better than a chain restaurant and good value.

My wife and I found this Restaurant by chance when were looking for lunch before going to the theatre, we had a pizza and it was absolutely delicious, we shared a side salad, had a couple of drinks and the bill was very reasonable! We were there on a Saturday lunchtime and three or four of the other tables had Italian families dining, which is always a good sign!

We found this restaurant on our way to the theatre and I am so glad we did. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff were wonderful and friendly. We ordered lasagna and a pizza, both of which were generous portions and incredibly tasty. It was all clearly homemade with care. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good Italian food and I look forward to visiting again.

Been to this restaurant several times and even have recommended the place with Italian atmosphere to friends. The last visit was very unpleasant. The staff brought us bread appetizers to the table, which we never ordered, but ordered pizza and pasta! Considering the fact that bread doesn't go well with pizza:), we notified the waiter that we were served this by mistake and he took away the appetizers, but then brought them back and left them on the table. When we have received the bill, these appetizers were included. We clarified again that we never ordered or ate them. The restaurant manager came and very emotionally, in front of all the visitors, began to explain in a rude manner that these conditions are indicated in the menu and if WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH or DO NOT LIKE HIS RULED, we should not come to his place :) And it was said in one of the most tourist places in London :) But that’s not all . We paid for everything and when we were leaving the restaurant he repeated three times: MAKE SURE YOU NEVER COME HERE AGAIN, which was unnecessary since we would never have returned there anyway! But it's not something you expect to hear from someone who run the place, just because he expect us to spend more money. Disgusting service, cheap rip-off (despite the fact that the service fee is 12.5% included) and unacceptable rudeness on behalf of someone who invites visitors to the table.

We spotted this restaurant when we had pangs of hunger and we were delighted to find this gem. As you step through the door you feel like you’re in Italy with its red checked tablecloths, wine bottles on display and welcoming atmosphere. A main pasta meal (generous portion) and glass of wine was reasonably priced and was delicious. Service excellent . Thank you !

Ora di pranzo , primo giorno a Londra dopo molti anni. Il richiamo delle tovagliette a scacchi bianco rossi, la nostra lingua i nostri sapori hanno avuto la meglio sul desiderio di nuove esperienze culinarie. Servizio celere, accolti con grande disponibilità. Birra piccola, una pinta di birra, una pizza margherita, una bruschetta con prosciutto di Parma tutto assolutamente buono . La location è vicinissima a Piccadilly Circus. Tale situazione giustifica le 45 sterline.

I would not advise anyone to go to this restaurant. After a tiring day in London we thought ourselves lucky to find a table here until we were told we had 1 hr and demanded that we must all order a drink even though my son just drinks tap water! My sons ordered garlic bread which was very poor pizzas which they liked I ordered ravioli which was very basic. The waiting staff had a very rude manner throughout our stay talking very loudly in Italian and pouncing on the table next to us that left a tip, no class at all. On using the downstairs toilets I noticed how grubby it all looked with the kitchen nearby. On paying the bill noticed service charge added I refused to pay due to poor service and experience. It was also my sons Birthday he said he had felt uncomfortable in there. I wished we left but as tired we stayed. Please do not use this restaurant.

What a fantastic and authentic Italian in Soho! The food was fabulous as were the staff. We would have happily stayed all afternoon. Highly recommend and very much look forward to visiting again.

Je pense que l’on peut trouver largement mieux comme restaurant italien à Londres Nos pizzas n’étaient pas top, manque cruellement de goût. La sauce piquante ne piquait pas. Restaurant qui ne respectent pas les touristes. Tracé votre route vous pouvez trouver mieux.

À fuir absolument, 12% de taxe supplementaire frais de service + 2 livres pour du pain inexistant. Des voleurs qui se prenent pour des italiens, pizzas trés fades. Attrape touriste!!!

This was my 2nd visit and it didn't disappoint. I adore this little restaurant. The food is just gorgeous and reasonably priced considering it's location. My children had the pizza which they devoured. My husband and I had pasta dishes which were just delicious, very generous portion sizes too. I am confused by the comments in relation to service, the owner who I assume is an older man couldn't have been nicer. This will be my go to restaurant everytime I go into the city. Love it!!!

Authentic Italian restaurant serving tasty authentic Italian food. Great pizzas with freshly made base, homemade Tiramasu, very generous portion at Great prices. Loved the atmosphere, staff are fantastic and Soho is such a vibrant location to pause and have something to eat. Thanks for such an enjoyable time will be back.

I had a fantastic lunch with my husband here and was so impressed with it that I returned the next day with my daughter. The ambience is so quaint, you feel as if you're transported to somewhere in Italy. The food is delicious, I had the lasagna which was sublime. The owner is a really lovely man who couldn't do enough for us. I will be coming back here very soon and I would recommend for everyone to support this lovely little family run restaurant. In an age of chains and bland food, this place is an oasis in the desert.

Absolutely lovely little restaurant. Authentic Italian food, I had the spaghetti vongole which was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. Brilliant service, friendly and welcoming waiters and the food was reasonably priced. We were even given complimentary limoncellos on the house. I will definitely be returning!!!

We visited on 18/12/21, and what an experience!Absolutely fantastic service, food and chat from our waiters, one who used to live in Southport and another who has been married more than 40 years.The restaurant is small and welcoming, it has a lovely homely feel when you walk in. It is Italy on a plate!We had a pizza each and a Moretti and a Kir Royale. Service and chat was lovely and there is nothing I could fault, nothing! We ate every single bit of the pizza! We followed this by an americano and a cognac, but desserts on the next table looked to die for. I have only one criticism - I would like to take this restaurant home with me, but I can’t. My 4 friends and I came across this restaurant by chance on a shopping trip in London. We were looking for somewhere to have a small bite to eat at, we didnt want a full meals we were all ready going to steak and co for dinner later that evening. The restaurant is small and a little cramp but lovely italian photos on the wall and I think a family run business. Staff were lovely and friendly. Waiter took our drink order and then we ordered 2 pizzas and 2 lots of garlic bread with cheese. After about a minute the waiter returned to say as it was Saturday and extremely busy we should be ordering for £20 per head which we didnt want to do as wanted to eat light. The owner did allow it and the food was wonderful, and all enjoyed it. service charge included and we gave a little extra totalling £60. We were very quick and literally in there for half hour which was perfect for us. When we left and were chatting outside and 5 or 6 people (tourists I think) were debating to ho in and we encouraged them to which they did so feel helped the restaurant out a bit and was pleased to do so. When we come back for a weekend in London we will return but for dinner next time.

This is a great find in a lovely location. We sat in the shade on a pretty and quiet street. Wonderful calamari, delicious carbonara with beautiful pancetta, crispy light margherita pizza and really excellent chicken schnitzel. Service was very friendly but professional. A very very nice experience. We will be going back.

Llegamos un viernes por la noche sin haber reservado y conseguimos una mesa para 6, aunque luego se llenó (solo alrededor de 20 cubiertos en total). Excelente pizza y el mejor risotto de mariscos de todos los tiempos, con deliciosos mariscos muy frescos. Un restaurante básico, auténtico y muy sabroso.

Our second visit here and we were looking forward to an authentic Italian lunch. Everything was fine, food was good and waiters attentive and pleasant - until I asked for the bill while my husband was visiting the loo. My husband had ordered from the lunch special menu at £9.50 and I ordered a starter (baked mushrooms) at £8.50 or £9.50, I forget which. We also had 4 glasses of red wine. I was very surprised when the bill arrived at close to £70. I asked the waiter to explain and he sat down at our table opposite me to argue about it. I think he thought we were tourists and could be ripped off. He said you could only have the lunch special if both customers ordered from that menu. This is ridiculous and I'm sure it's untrue. My husband's starter was bruschetta (two slices of bread with chopped tomatoes and a slice of parma ham) and he offered me a plate so that we could share. He then tried to charge us £18 for this, £9 for each slice of bread. I can only imagine that he thought we were visitors to London who would not question the bill, not Londoners. This is so disappointing as I had thought this restaurant was a great find. If you visit be very careful how you order and watch the bill.I'm really quite upset about this and just hope this was a bad day for that particular waiter.

Almost don’t want to give a review, because we know popularity means higher prices, as we don’t live in London, we will take the chance!Looking for an eatery same evening as the Regent St Christmas switch on is challenging.We walked quite a while, almost agreeing that we could get a takeaway at Wholefoods (which is also great food), when we walked past this little Italian gem.They had a special that night, (not sure is it is all the time), £16,50 for two courses with a large glass of wine.The first course we chose antipasta for two, simply put, great taste, large portions.We chose a pizza for main, one of the best we have tasted.Wine was good, and the glass was large Italian service, (polite, but not clinging).My Daughter lives nearby, so not our last visit to Il Conte Di Monteforte.

We were on the lookout for an Italian restaurant afer our visit to the Royal Academy. Il Conte is a great little Italian in the heart of Soho. There was a warm welcome upon arrival and we were seated immediately. There is an excellent menu and wine list. As we had already had a late breakfast we just went for a main course. I had the seafood linguine and my partner had the gnocci and we shared a mixed salad. The food was excellent as was the wine. Prices are reasonable for the area and we will definitely go back when next in London.

So this place is nothing pretentious, it’s not about the decor, it’s about fantastic service, a warm welcome and great home cooking. Don’t be put off from looking through the window, this place is excellent and well worth a visit. The home made Tiramisu is worth the visit alone!!

Había estado buscando un buen restaurante italiano que preparara un plato tradicional italiano muy simple (Aglio e Oli). Raramente encuentras esto en un menú porque es muy simple.Esto no se ofrecía en el menú de Il Conte pero, como siempre, pregunté si podían prepararlo para mí.Eran más que felices y fue simplemente delicioso.El restaurante es muy tradicional (manteles a cuadros rojos y mesas y sillas bastante básicas, así que no esperes un restaurante elegante con un entorno palaciego). Dicho esto, estaba tan impresionado con el servicio y mi comida que he recomendado a muchos de mis amigos.

I went for lunch with my husband and got served the wrong pasta dish. The correct one appeared about 2 minutes later. I asked, very calmly how they had prepared a fresh pasta dish in under 5 minutes. The manager then started shouting at me, threatening me and in an incredibly aggressive manner took away my food. He was shouting and it was incredibly embarrassing. I kept saying that all I had asked is how it had been prepared so quickly. His aggressive, rude and quite frankly, frightening attitude summed it all up. The food had been re heated in a microwave, I have never ever been treated in this manner. The food looked pretty shocking as well. Do not go here.

Do not visit. Our waiter brought us the wrong order and then started arguing and then yelling at my wife. We left with a hail of abuse from the waiter. Seriously, don’t go here. Disgusting food and grumpy rude waiters. No wonder it was empty at 1.15pm.

We walked by this little restaurant several times during our visit to London before we finally decided to give it a try. Sure glad we did! To be honest, we usually walked past without stopping because it looks tiny and we didn’t see too many people eating. The evening we did, we were reading the menu outside and the waiter/manager came out and started talking to us explaining various menu items. Seemed friendly enough so we went in.

Autentico italiano en zona Picadilly Circus. Matrimonio italiano muy auténtico. Si te lo curras bien con ellos se enrollan. Comida muy sabrosa y no es muy caro. Restaruante muy pequeño y no muy sofisticado pero muy entrañable. A pie de calle con ventanal...

Este restaurante fue un hallazgo por accidente, ya que estábamos un poco sorprendidos de todas las cadenas y los restaurantes de moda en Carnaby Street, que dejamos. Paseando por las calles secundarias en dirección a Piccadilly Circus, pasamos esta puerta e inmediatamente decidimos entrar, ya que es un verdadero alivio frente a las grandes cadenas multinacionales (justo al lado hay un Prozzo ...).

Encontramos este restaurante por casualidad en un sábado por la noche y qué descubrimiento. El restaurante es un pequeño, tradicional italiano. La comida era increíble y el personal extremadamente atento. Si está buscando un italiano auténtico, no dude en probar este lugar. Está justo al lado de un Prezzo, pero no hay comparación y definitivamente regresaremos.

I will shamelessly admit that I initially chose Il Conte as I got a discount with Gourmet Society. However, I was really glad I did as the food was fantastic. Whenever a restaurant does calamari I always have to chose it and this calamari was right up there with the best. The service was fantastic as well and you felt more like part of the family, albeit a paying one! The family feel to Il Conte also rubs off on the visitors as it was such a nice relaxed atmosphere despite being situated in one of London's busiest spots. Thanks for a great meal and experience.

Having been walking all day around London with a 4 and 8 year old we were delighted to find this little gem! We were greeted warmly and made to feel appreciated. The food was delicious, well cooked and fresh! The children were looked after and thoroughly enjoyed their meals. They even popped out to get my eldest a special dessert...a cornetto! Thank you!

Just love this place and the food. Been a few times and will continue to do so when in London. Toilets are downstairs so not for the frail. Very authentic dishes. Highly recommended.

C’est une perle rare en plein centre de Londres ! Nous sommes tombé par hasard sur ce restaurant et avons été charmés par la décoration et le côté atypique de ce restaurant. Bien loin des restaurants que l’on peut trouver à Londres qui sont souvent grand et dont les serveurs sont impersonnels. Chez Il conte c’est tout autre chose, c’est des vrais italiens qui tiennent le restaurant et ça se ressent dans les plats ! Nous avons pris des pâtes, lasagne maison, bruschetta tout était excellent! De plus un super rapport qualité-prix ce qui est très très rare à Londres. Alors n’hésitez pas et foncez!

Stumbled across this restaurant whilst strolling around and what a find! A very friendly guy came out and welcomed us whilst we were reading the menu, so we decided to give it a try. Small restaurant and the tables are close together which makes it cosy! In fact the couple next to us started talking to us about the food! Friendly staff and amazing food. Definitely highly recommend this place if you don’t mind a noisy, cosy atmosphere (noisy as in general conversational noise from other diners around). We will definitely be going back!

trovato quasi per caso, in una trasversale esterna di Piccadilly, un localino che , per atmosfera, simpatia del gestore, riporta ancora alla memoria la tipica trattoria italiana anni 70,80 con il saper fare tipico Italiano.

Vi har tidigare haft en Italiensk favorit i Soho som drevs av två gamla Italienare, dom har tyvärr slutat. Nu har vi hittat en ny Italiens restaurang. Underbar mat och trevlig miljö.

We went to Il Conte the night after we saw the pizza in the window. Small but welcoming. We shared a pizza and it was very good. We love Tiramisu so decided to have desert also since the pizza was good. Don't order the Tiramisu. It tasted like the cake had been soaked in water instead of espresso and the cream was runny. They just put a bit of chocolate over the top and called it Tiramisu. other than that as I said, the pizza was very good.

Delicious pizza and very laid back atmosphere in this little authentic restaurant. Highly recommended.

Found this place by accident and was very pleased. The food was very tasty. The staff were attentive, and service was fast. It loses one mark as I felt a little rushed even through the place was relatively quiet.

Ottimo personale e che dire dei pasti... se ti manca l’Italia qui ti fa ritrovare il suo gusto...

Ci siam fermati in comitiva, 5 bimbi e 4 adulti, un’accoglienza molto calda, proprio come in italia, ottimo servizio con due chiacchiere al tavolo, pizza buonissima, carbonara, tortelli al ragù e l’antipasto della casa molto buoni. Conto più che adeguato per gli standard londinesi, abbiamo speso come a mangiare hamburger.

I love Italian cuisine and again we have found absolutely delicious little restaurant serving mouthwatering food. It’s only few tables so make sure you or come early or book in advance. Fresh, cold Birra Moretti went very well along with perfectly medium rare cooked beef. We will come back soon!
