Who knew IKEA had such gorgeous cakes at a decent price! I love going there and seeing if they have any new ones!

Food on the floor. All tables were dirty. Asked for a table to be cleaned…which it was with a dirty cloth. Really poor.

My prego wife was ravenous from navigating through the labyrinth of IKEA so we decided to refuel with a breakfast at the in-store restaurant. Normally, this wouldn’t be my go-to, and this visit affirmed why. The atmosphere felt akin to a school cafeteria – with trays in hand, served by somewhat disinterested staff, and below average food. Opting for the full breakfast, we were surprised to find it didn’t include toast, so we settled for the last roll, which we shared. Additionally, I grabbed a couple of veg pakoras and a cinnamon bun. Starting with the breakfast, it was just okay. The sausage, while not terrible in flavor, had an oddly artificial and rubbery texture, far from what one would expect. The hash browns and tattie scone were passable, but the eggs seemed suspiciously lacking in egg-like qualities, both in appearance and taste. The beans were average, and the bacon, while decent, could have been crispier. The roll, reminiscent of what my grandma would describe as “blotting paper,” left much to be desired. The veg pakora, although not awful, lacked the desired crispiness and freshness one would hope for. However, the biggest letdown was the cinnamon bun – incredibly stale, with some parts resembling rocks rather than pastry. The only saving grace was the affordability of the meal, which prevents this review from sliding into one-star territory. I’ve yet to sample the highly praised meatballs, so perhaps my opinion will change, but I won’t be rushing back anytime soon. If you’re on a tight budget and willing to sacrifice quality for affordability, IKEA’s restaurant might suffice. But if you prioritize taste and freshness, you might want to explore other options.

Food was lukewarm, tables were unclean, had to search for one that was semi reasonable and staff member did not seem happy to be asked to wipe it down! And this was a quiet period. Poor show.

Food is edible, but very mediocre. Close to school dinner quality. Prices aren't bad, but not incredible either. Always a queue, and everything is a bit rundown. For an IKEA restaurant that sells furniture, they could do with replacing or cleaning the chairs once in a while - really nicely shows how quickly your IKEA furniture will look dated. Was more fun in the 2000s as a kid when it opened. It's not changed at all, not in a good way.

Very delicious meatballs and soup! They have some offers and small bonuses like a free drink for IKEA family club members. Also in the shop there are even more offers, so I would recommend joining IKEA family club. The restaurant feels more like a canteen, but the food is very delicious actually, especially the soup and meatballs. Sometimes the staff may leave a few splashes of soup all over the plate or arrangement of meatballs, peas and mash potatoes can be all mixed up and that is totally fine! There are hundreds of people coming for lunch every day, if not for the serving staff everyone would have to seek a place to eat else where. Let's put ourselves in their place for a moment and imagine how it would feel. Really appreciate and respect their work! So don't mind negative comments, they are probably coming from people who got tired, hungry and stressed after spending a long time inside the shop. Thank you IKEA staff for your hard work! 🙏

Food quality and taste was terrible the drinks from the soda vending machine were tasteless. Even their signature dish - The Swedish meatballs at this IKEA were disappointing. I've dined at IKEA restaurants in different countries, but this one in Edinburgh is not what you would expect from the brand.

Ikea restaurant cheap and cheerful IF you are lucky enough to get fresh cooked food. Unfortunately today my luck was not in. Couldn't find fish for the amount of coating previously over heated now cold, chips previously over heated now cold, peas cold and previously overheated. However the tartar sauce was warm. Tea luke warm very disappointing Ikea. Staff very pleasant and restaurant clean.

Икеа, как Икеа, ничего особенного. Еда только лишь съедобная, маринованного лосося (полезного) и след простыл. А все неполезное в избытке. Чай безлимитный лучше даже не пробовать)))
