Icons in Bury

Go in Icons on a regular basis and its usually good but tonight it was horrible! Full of drunk, underage teenagers swearing and screaming, falling all over and vaping inside! The doormen were useless and allowed anybody in and even joined in with some of the behaviour! We had friends with us from out of the area and having told them how good the place was, we were embarrassed to have taken them in! Bar staff ignored people at the bar, took us 15 mins to be served! Would not recommend this place to anyone now if this is what it is going to be like!

Atmosphere good. Entertainment good. (Homegrown UB40). Food was disgraceful. Turkey dinner with trimmings. Roast potatoes needed a steak knife to cut. Yorkshire pudding had the texture of a prawn cracker. Carrots we're raw. Definitely NOT worth the £45 a head.

Arrived for lunch with my family ordered or tried to order our lunch SIX items we ordered from menu were unavailable No one told us when they gave us the limited menu that any items from the menu where unavailable Total disappointment

Haven’t been in for a show yet but have heard amazing things about the shows. I’ve only been in Icons a handful of times but this weeks experience really pushed me to write the review. When we popped in they had buy one get one free on the cocktails and 33% off on all food. Obviously those deals sold us straight away. We ordered two pornstars, salt and pepper chicken wings, loaded fries and the royal bacon and cheese. The pornstars were top notch and I’ve struggled to say that for Prestwich as usually they either come out of a pump or just don’t taste nice. Then the food came and again was lost for words. The portions were huge and so delicious. Hats off to the chefs! Well Done to Icons! ☺️

ABSOLUTELY CRAP- Paid £15 to see someone who was supposed to be a Phol Collins tribute act,Sounded nothing like him, he sang ordinary songs for 2nd half so wasn't a tribute at all. When we got there we had booked for 12 people, the seating was not enough, and yet an empty table in the corner!! Sort it out its not rocket science. Service by young girls dressed inappropriately in some sort of "uniform", who didn't know what prices, menus were kept going back to ask, I only wanted chips, as mfnu was rubbish, was told I could have them then was told I couldn't, Overpriced rubbish food, 2 pieces of chicken and a dip £6.95!!!! Don't waste your money here, go and see PROPER tribute acts.

For the entertainment it was a great night. We saw ‘ABBA’ who provided great entertainment. The audience fully participated with singing and dancing making a great atmosphere and entertaining evening. They were a very popular act as staff kept adding tables to the room with more and more people coming in. The downside was the vegetarian meal!! Starters were great. The main consisted of a bowl of barley. It should have been served with potatoes and veg but they were missing. It was like eating a bowl of stodgy porridge. We couldn’t eat it and most of it was left. With confirming food orders a week before I am sure that a few alternatives could have been offered. We will be going back, probably not eating. Can I finish that the non-veggie was good chicken wrapped in Parma ham. The bread and olive oil starter was great.

Visited the new Icons bar in Prestwich, very impressed with the refurbishment the decor is very impressive. Had a few drinks, great service and prices good. Will definitely visit again, looking forward to trying the brunch next time. Highly recommend.
