Ice'fire Persian Restaurant & Dessert in Harrow

Servers were lovely. Unfortunately the food let the place down tonight. The minced Lamb kebab skewer, I’m not sure if it was because it wasn’t cooked properly inside but honestly, tasted like dog food. The ‘Saffron’ Rice, you get a tiny bit of, scattered over the top and the rest is white and completely tasteless. The chicken skewer was chewy & bland and like the lamb one, the plate underneath was covered in grease. The Okra Lamb Stew tasted like garlic & a tin of tomatoes in a bowl and in the whole dish we only counted 6-7 really tiny pieces of Lamb. The salad was fresh and the drinks were nice and chilled. Wish I had something better to say, I’m sorry. We did let the gent know about the above issues and he took off the 10% service charge of £3.40. Cheers!

I ordered through just eat today and was totally unimpressed with the quality of food. Koo koo sabzi in particular was totally dry, tasteless actually looked and tasted like grass. Over priced at £6.50 I did not expect this at all. The food usually is better than this as I am a regular customer and was quite shocked with what I got.

The food served is of high quality but I am extremely disappointed by the service provided and the lack of care shown to my guests at our special dinner. Considering the price of the meal we paid for I would expect my table to be cleaned between courses and to have the staff check if our group was happy with our food and service or if we needed anything. We were charged for drinks which we did not have and I felt the meals were overpriced.

Came across this place by accident. Fantastic food we had the Khatoon special and the serving sizes meant a takeaway container was needed. Would also recommend the baba ghanoush. Well worth a visit when passing by or even a detour. Definitely planning on going back

Khatoon restaurant one of the best Persian restaurant in London, I booked for 36 of my family, all of my guests enjoyed the food and customer service, everything was fresh and mouthwatering. Really recommend this restaurant for anyone like try the original taste of Persian food

ordered food for 50 people. they use substandard meat and 40 percent of people were sick the next day and the others had headaches due to the fat of the meat. we have ordered from here on 10 occasions with great results, but recently the level of food quality has been disgraceful. we have now chosen to pay extra for delivery and go to a restaurant in Finchley for our orders

I would give them Minus 10. The worst customer service ever. The waiters are extremely rude. We used go there almost every Friday but during covid we started ordering delivery. Lately The waiters taking phone orders are extremely rude. We decided not to order from there anymore. Harrow is full of better Iranian restaurants. They lost a regular customer with the entire family. I wouldn't recommend this place!!!!

Does not know how to make persian Kebabs they added hot spices to them!, go to a proper Persian restaurant to have decent persian food

We were regular customers but unfortunately the quality of food has declined dramatically. Worst quality meat used in dishes which smelled and really tough to chew.

For many years me and my family are their customer and always loved the foods, I just get upset when I saw someone ( caledon) wrote the review and said many bad things and when I checked his reviews for other restaurants and business I understood he has problem by self because he did the same thing for almost every one. I don't know we some mental people want bad things for others. Anyway thanks Khatoon restaurant

I went with my mother and brother and his family of 6, and we were instantly greeted by the friendly staff who immediately gave us seats. The service was equally good, delicious and plentiful food as always (we've eaten from Khatoon before) so we took some left over food home. Honestly? There is nothing bad I can say here, I highly recommend this restaurant and I would go there again and again. Great family atmosphere!

Rice was stale. The meat smelt and the naan were out of packets definitely not fresh. Could barely eat the food. Went home feeling sick. Definitely would not recommend better to go Manoush a few doors down.

Food was great, family loved it, was a bit worried since my parents are a bit fussy but they were very happy. Lovely atmosphere, great service. Only problem was portion sizes were huge. We took home a lot of rice lol!

Very friendly staff and the food was great too. Will definitely go again and recommend it. We would also recommend the smoothies.

My girlfriend and I found this place by chance some time ago and we loved it. We come by every once in a while when we're around Harrow. The food is really delicious: we usually go for the mixed grill with several sides. The thing we love most is the Barg, the marinated strip of meat that's usually served in the centre of the grill plater.

I was visiting London from USA. Absolutely loved this restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was extraordinary. Our server was super friendly. Also, I like the portion and food decorations in the place. It made the food tastes even better.

Best Iranian food I've ever had, and I've tried it at a lot of places. Amazing interior, and prompt quality service.

Went in with my other half as we saw they accepted taste cards. Very lovely young guy served us. The food was okay. Nothing special, quite generic. We finished our plates, and waited ages for someone to come over, they were just stood behind the bar on their phones. In the end we got up and asked for the bill, asking to use our taste card, the woman behind the counter just shook her head. The men who was also perched behind the bar on his phone pipped up and told us that we had to call in advance. We asked what difference that would have made as we were the only people in the restaurant. He just kept saying that you just had too. They were totally dismissive and quite rude when we were just asking to use the discount they advertise. Their response was so unprofessional. You can’t trap your customers who are using a discount that you advertise and register to by making them jump through extra hoops just to avoid giving the discount you have advertised and expect them to ever come back.

After having heard good reviews about Khatoon I’m very disappointed. The meat was not fresh namely the chicken & lamb kebab. The meats were dry and tough and tasted like they were reheated and not cooked freshly. Very disappointed please do not serve reheated meats to customers it’s unacceptable.

Came along whilst in Harrow as a Tastecard holder having looked it up and really looked forward to visiting. Very disappointed to be turned away. We hadnt phoned ahead but when arrived asked for a table and that we had a tastecard and told "we dont take tastecard (but is on tastecard website) and we hadn't phoned" which was it, not taking tastecard or not phoned ahead? Plenty of tables available. Sorry we took our business somewhere else local. Also sorry you lost our money.

Food was very good, the service was also outstanding. The staff made sure we had every thing and made sure we weren't missing anything. Will recommend to all my family and friends

I visited this restaurant ‘Khatoon’ in Harrow this evening with my partner. I phoned up the day before and made a reservation for 2 people for 7pm. I checked with the lady on the phone that we would be able to use our Tastecard (2 for 1 on all courses) and she reassured me that it is fine and she will make a note on my booking.

This place has reasonably priced lunch menu. I tried the lamb kebab which came with rice and salad. The dish was tasty. Will visit again if I want a quick lunch

Went there for st Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend. When I called to book a table, I asked about vegan meals and the lady who answered the phone said they had vegan meals, as opposed to the other Persian restaurant down station road. This made things easier.

Truly awful food. Meat tasted microwaved/off, rice was overly dry and food was just inedible generally. Awful service, rude/vulgar staff. An insult to Persian cuisine. Never go here.

Great value for price, £6.50 for koobideh/chicken with naan (or rice) and salad. Persian tea was excellent- a little to the strong side.

Popped in after watching a film at Safari Cinema. I had the mixed kebab containing lamb kebab, chicken kebab, salad and rice. My wife had a vegetarian stew with rice. Also got a naan bread. Tasty and price was good.

First Persian meal, had with two colleagues, their first time too. We thought why not, so much choice in the area, wanted to try something new/different than the regular Indian, Italian/Pizza, Chinese... and we each agreed, great choice, excellent food, service and staff. Terrific value, will come again. If you've never tried it, do, you will not be disappointed.

Reserved a table for 3 for my family at Khatoon. The food was delicious (I'm a pescatarian and there were ample veg options, and one excellent fish option). Service was impeccable and the staff extremely helpful, highly recommended.

This is our go to place for a tasty and filling meal - we love the chilloo kabab koobideh, very flavourful and tender meat and delicious rice, and the service is always friendly.

Food is average Persian food. Portions are just right. Prices are very reasonable apart from starters but not more than other Persian restaurants. Toilets not very clean. Service very good and friendly. Parking no issue after 6:30 pm.

Visited this restaurant yesterday and the service was slow. We received our drinks after we had finished our starters and we had to ask for it a second time only then she remembered. We were charged 7.50 for service charge when the service was awful and the waiter refused to pack me a takeaway bag he just brought me a container and said to do it myself so what was the service charge for??? First and LAST time. Food wasn’t great either.

My familly choosen this restaurant for lunch and order kebab with rice.Delicious for everyone.I didn't had this my luck because my lamb required more long cooking.On the end I wanted dessert but I heard they are not available from menu.For compliment deserve making the bread infront of customers in corner of restaurant in very spectaculous oven:-)

The only thing they have which is good is the lamb koobideh everything else is taken frozen from the freezer and put straight in the microwave and served to you

Visited yesterday 23/2 with a friend. Not sure about what to order as not a regular visitor to Persian/Arabic food. But the one we ordered were really good. Delicious rice and kebab with very good portion.

The food here is good, nice starters they make the nan fresh it tastes great the service is prompt. I think it's a family affair. The staff are friendly - I would recommend khatoons

My family and I went to Khatoon Persian Restaurant in Harrow on Wednesday7th of December for lunch. we all had the same mixed kebab with rice( Barg and Koobideh Kebabs to be exact) with rice and salad and it was very nice. the service was very friendly and prompt and the surroundings were very pleasant and welcoming, Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. it is one of the best Iranian restaurants in London

I went into Khatoon to eat and didn't really know what to expect. I was blown away by the food though. It was nice big portions. And the food tastes amazing. Really reminds me of iran. You can add also extras like kebabs etc without having to buy a whole seperate meal which is what most restaurants don't do because they're very inconsiderate of their customers. But khatoon is the best place I have been to where the service is excellent and the food is out of this world. Just delicious.

Normalmente conseguir un para llevar. La comida es muy buena, especialmente el Baghali pilau. Recomiendo encarecidamente como la sabrosa comida iraní. Buen servicio y siempre listo cuando dicen.

Es por lejos la mejor degustación de platos persas en Harrow. Las raciones son también muy generoso, así como la presentación. El servicio es rápido y atento. Gracias por una gran comida.

We dine at this restaurant every time we are in Harrow. We love their grilled dishes, especially lamb and beef. It is reasonably priced and they put real effort into their dishes.PS: The 'Barg' is to die for !

We had our food delivered by Khatoon. We received the delivery within 25 minutes. Food was hot, freshly prepared. We had the chalo kebab which came with rice, salad, salad cream, butter cubes, spices powder mix to sprinkle on if needed. And each portion came with a box of salad too.

Their food is always tasty and fresh whether you eat in the restaurant or do takeaway or delivery. The food is simple but ridiculously delicious. I really can’t find anything negative to say about this place, all I will say is do try this place out if you are in the area and fancy a delicious simple food of kebab and rice.

Have been coming to eat at this restaurant for a while and it is a firm family favourite. The portions are quite big and we always end up taking food home. Try it out!

My wife and i visited this restaurant just a couple of days ago, we were seated quite quickly and our order was taken swiftly. The decor had recently changed and was very nice and inviting. We ordered starters and mains. The food was exquisite and very different to other places where i've been. I would most definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food. I visited for dinner on Sunday with my mum. The decor is clean, minimalist and modern. Upon arrival we were promptly seated and given menus.We ordered fresh carrot juice which arrived about 15 minutes later and was very nice and pure, first veg juice I have had that tasted exactly like the produce used to make it! We ordered a starter to share of grilled smoked aubergine, egg, tomatoes, onion and garlic with a side of flat bread, which was very nice however I did add a little salt and chilli as I personally found it a bit bland.We both ordered lamb mains which came with a roasted tomato, salad and rice. The portions were good and the food very fresh. The lamb was very soft and juicy but again for me lacked depth of flavour. I did however enjoy the garlic mayo and chilli sauce which complimented the meat and rice perfectly! Although you do need to ask for it as it wasn't offered until my mum mentioned it. Due to the portion sizes we didn't order any desserts.My only criticism is about the service. It was very, very slow and extremely frustrating especially as it wasn't busy at all. I wonder how they would manage when fully booked! Unfortunately the staff spent most of their time standing behind the bar not paying any attention to the customers. In order to get any attention we had to wave the staff down, even when wanting to pay the bill. The staff desperately need further training.I would visit again however would try different dishes. I would recommended to those who don't enjoy strong flavours but do enjoy good quality food with subtle seasoning.

I reviewed the takeaway offerings way back in December 2014 and have enjoyed numerous such takeways since then but finally managed to visit the restaurant in early May. A little confusing as the restaurant is actually called Khatoon so not sure where Ice'fire came from (unless Khatoon is Farsi for Ice'Fire?)In any event we arrived around 7:30, the restaurant has about 40 covers and, as would be expected early evening mid week, there were only about 10 people in the restaurant (although more arrive later).In common with many Persian restaurants this one is not licensed but the soft drinks are ridicuously cheap.The ambiance is fairly plain and functional but not unattractive. Our waitress struggled a little with English but we managed to convey our order and the food arrived fairly quickly. As with the takeaways there was plenty of pure white rice with some saffron rice on top, most of the dishes (but not all) consist of various cuts of lamb and/or chicken prepared in different ways and again, as usual, very enjoyable. Persian food is a little bland so don't expect much in the way of spices but is nonetheless very tasty. We finished with Persian tea which was slightly spicy and very nice, we were also serviced with some sort of crystalised favoured sugar on a small stick which was incredibly hard but softened to be edible after dunking in the tea.The other diners were quite a mixed bunch, a couple with a young child, a group of younger people as well as more mature couples, most of whom were from the extended Persian region.The bill was an incredibly reasonable under £30 with 10% service added.A good experience overall and the restaurant is definately worth a visit and we wlil be going backPS I have ticked the box that says the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. It is if you have a manual wheelchair and carers/PAs who are able to lift the chair up a small step (about 2-3 inches). If you are self propelling or in an electric wheelchair, then no it isn't accessible

Good prompt service with a smile. Good food with good portion sizes. Nice warm atmosphere. Good for casual dining. Ice creams and deserts were also nice.

This is a very cosy friendly restaurant, with the most amazing Persian food. The staff are lovely and they cater to all your needs. This restaurant has become my new favourite. Defiantly recommend checking it out.

Thoroughly disappounted as the wen said they are open from 9am -10pm we sat outside from 9.40am till 1010am... as we were driving away 2 people came ams opened up. We parked up and paid for the over priced parking outside (80p for 20 min)went in only to be told that "i hope you haven't come for breakfast. .. the man who makes it has juat left and gone out he'll be back after 30 mins" she said they could only serve tea coffee and cakes. We were very disappointed and ended up in dunkin doughnuts .

we didn't go to the restaurant but tried the online order takeaway, ordering online was fairly easy, delivery very quick and by the best looking delivery person EVER seen. Food was great! I'd left the ordering to my partner who was born in the region and it was fantastic!! Persian food is fairly bland but, for me, this was tasty and filling, I look forward to visiting the restaurant

Delicious food, great location! This cafe/restaurant has been here for a few years now, and has some delicious hot food and great deserts. The crepe with Nutella is a must, and the ice-creams are sweet, yet light.A range of cakes, milkshakes and comfy outdoor seating make Ice'fire a treat - they open till late as well. Lamb kebab is delish, and the portions are big!Service is good, staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend as an after-meal treat or as a main meal in itself!
