iCafe Woodlands Road in Glasgow City

The most depressing coffee shop I've ever had the misfortune of visiting. Completely soulless, coffee isn't great and cakes were stale. Never again

I have alway enjoyed going to Icafe it has become one of my favourite pastimes but of recent days I have noticed a lack on specifically banana ice-cream. Now the other ice-cream are that bad but the bana ice-cream was on another level. So Icafe I'd you see this please I beg of you being back the banana ice-cream. Still love you though l. Your greatest fan.

Visited for breakfast. I enjoyed my. The bacon breakfast bap was very disappointing, The bacon rashers were dry and hadn't much flavour. The bap was also dry with no butter or spread on it.

Came here with a Church brother. Bbq chicken pizza was very good. Service could be quicker and staff always could be friendlier!

As a regular customer at iCafe (5 years +) there is consistently a 5 star customer service and this is what makes them different to your other Glasgow cafes and why I have been coming for so many years and continue to do so. iCafe go out of their way not only to ensure customer satisfaction, but also go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant guest experience. 5 stars!

Bought three cakes of two different types which were all inedible, didn’t taste of anything and like eating pure sugar 🤢 very disappointed 👎

iCafe Woodlands always impresses with its efficient yet personable service and incredible food and coffee. An absolute favorite is their variety of brownies and pastries on display as you walk in. For those looking for a place to study or work there is plenty of space and the only thing more reliable than their internet is their friendly staff.

I came here for an early morning meeting. I was told food would be 20-25 minutes. Food was fresh and tasted great. Won’t be back in Glasgow for sometime but will return that’s for sure

I’m not really sure how the ‘iCafe’ brand of this spot matches up to the atmosphere - it’s completely non conducive to work. In the hour I spent here I heard football anthems, bagpipes, and generally really abrasive (bad) tunes. I went to use the loo and both ladies’ stalls and the disabled toilet were foul - couldn’t use them, and really wanted to sanitise my hands after. Each sanitiser stall was empty. Coffee was good, nice and strong, but at £3.10 for a black coffee with no milk, very overpriced. Grey-looking bacon BLT also priced at £4 when you can get a much nicer, fresher meal deal a few yards away at Sainsbury’s for just £3.50. No reason to visit here when there’s a wealth of better cafes in the west end.

I've been visiting this cafe since pre pandemic and it's became my usual place. I'll tell you why. Excellent staff, excellent seating, usually quite good for parking if you drive. Baristas memories your drink and never misses a beat. Got to mention, if you're self employed and looking for a place outside your home office. They've got printers to cater your needs too. Since pandemic, they've gone beyond to make sure everyone is safe by following gov guidelines.

After having shown my proof of exemption from wearing a face mask. The staff continued to refuse me to approach their till area. You have certainly lost my business. You should educate your staff icafe. It is a discharge and unlawful!

Had a very poor experience in this cafe. Went in and usual sanitiser in place. So far, so good. However went through to tables and a table we went to sit at had the remnants of the previous occupants still on it. No crockery but jam, crumbs, butter type mess. We sat at another seat and wiped the table there ourselves to be sure. In the whole time we were in that dirty table was never looked at or cleaned in any way. Not really good enough at any time but highly unacceptable in this Covid era. Not impressed and won’t be back.

I rarely leave reviews but here i go. This place is a really nice spot where you can spend some time just minding your business, doing some work etc., very casual so don't expect fancy interiors, but it has lovely huge windows (so lots of light), lots of local regulars, and in general is just a nice spot to spend a few hours without feeling self-conscious or bothered. Theres an impressive variety of hot drinks, which by the way, are so good. And the staff is always really own to earth and friendly.

Other than the lovely staff, this place is absolutely disgusting. The toilets are worse than your local McDonald's, blood/s*** on the walls, yes I'm being serious - you won't believe you're in the westend. Mugs are dirty and sticky. Tons of people smoking in close proximity with the door open so you can choke on secondhand smoke. If you want a clean place to relax this is not it. I had to shower and wash my clothes when I got home.

I've been there several times now and each time I've enjoyed my hot or cold drink. It's very nice when it's sunny outside and you're next to the window.

Encontré este lugar un domingo por la mañana mientras caminaba en esta hermosa zona de Glasgow.Tenía el desayuno de todo el día, que era enorme, buena relación calidad-precio y no necesitamos nada para comer otra vez hasta bien entrada la noche.El personal fue amigable y útil. Tenía un blanco plano para echarme y era tan bueno como lo que obtendrías en cualquier parte.En este café con asientos en la ventana se siente muy bien, puede ver pasar el mundo o disfrutar viendo a los estudiantes trabajar en otro lugar en el café.

Pasé una tarde completa aquí estudiando en mi computadora portátil con un amigo y el ambiente era lo suficientemente frío como para hacer mucho mientras disfrutaba del bullicio de un café normal. Las bebidas estaban bien hechas y con cuidado para no contaminar las leches lácteas en mi bebida (como si se especificara la leche de soya / avena). WiFi es rápido y fácil de iniciar sesión.

Visité hoy. Pedimos 2 nachos de chile. Cuando llegaron apenas pudieron encontrar chile. Pregunté si podíamos tener más chili y el miembro femenino del personal no estaba contento. Finalmente conseguimos nuestros platos de vuelta unos 10 minutos más tarde. Honestamente puedo decir que es el peor chili nachos que he probado en mi vida. Los nachos eran como el cartón, el queso sabía como las rodajas cuadradas de kraft derretidas, el chile como la carne picada, no quedaba crema agria y la salsa tampoco sabía bien. Lo único que pensé era sabroso eran los 4 jalape os que estaban fuera de un frasco. Mi hijo y yo nunca volveremos a comer allí. No es una experiencia agradable. Dejé mi almuerzo completo desperdicio de dinero. Todo el año no es una experiencia agradable. Si tuviera opción no daría ninguna estrella.

If you're looking for a place to meet, have nice coffee and hang out for a while, this is it. Staff are always very friendly and the food is good too.

Conocí a un amigo para el desayuno y volveremos. El servicio fue amable, la comida era buena y la guinda del pastel para mí fue Transformer by Lou Reed tocando en el fondo. No dejes que un poco de Lou te desanime, aunque no sea de tu agrado, ya que juegan otras cosas. Para mí, aunque es una buena razón para una visita de regreso. Gracias chicos.

Love this particular iCafe, beautifully done, great space to sit inside really cosy and the hot and cold drinks are great. They have an excellent selection of hot chocolates with flavors. Also you can eat anything here as it is halal.

Por el bien de su cordura, sentarse en la parte trasera. El ruido en la cafetería principal de las bebidas/enfriador del bocadillo es insoportable, yo nunca he oído una nevera hacen mucho ruido.

Yo visité por un café rápido y decidimos pedir un atún 'gluten' sandwichera. Si no me reiteró un atún 'gluten' pollo y cebolla sandwichera. Recibí un queso y cebolla sandwichera, le pedí al camarero que el gluten? A lo que respondió que sí. Como me di cuenta de la empezamos a comer pan era diferente! Mi amigo no parecía pan normal. No podía creer que alguien podía ser tan estúpida después de especificar 3 veces para pan sin gluten! Si me decidí a preguntar la chica haciendo la comida. Ella dijo, nadie me dijo que iba a ser pan sin gluten! (no elija sin gluten a través de selección que soy alérgico! ). El billete no decir pollo y cebolla! Absolutamente indignado, 3 días de náuseas, entre otras dolencias le espera! Evitar este establecimiento de vergüenza.

Vado spesso in questa caffetteria, l'ambiente è molto rilassato, i prodotti sono buoni ed è un ottimo posto per leggere, studiare o semplicemente rilassarsi.

Amo este lugar. Es acogedor y tienen mucha variedad de comida y tés. ¡Debes probar que a Apple le encanta la menta! .

Great food, great staff. There is a place where you can have a nice and relaxed meal and not spendind a lot of money.

Visitamos aquí una reunión de trabajo y el lugar era genial - no de la zona, así nunca oído hablar de antes. Estaba lleno, así que parece ser muy popular. La lista de menú y amplia variedad de bebidas y una pinta increíble. Por desgracia solo podia tener un capuccino para llevar, tenía prisa pero estaba buenísimo. Sin duda volveremos!

Popped into Icafe for a cup of tea and light breakfast and it was just what i needed. The Cafe is a fairtrade business and offers a good selection of rolls and sandwiches and pastries as well as coffee teas and juices and smoothies. Internet access is available and you can use their computer for printing out documents at a reasonable price.The decor is varied with comfy sofa and high and low tables and there is a seating area outside the cafe as well . i enjoyed sitting on the big sofa with my roll and scrambled egg with potato scone and brown sauce reading my Sunday paper. The staff where friendly and helpful and it was nice and clean .

popped in here on passing early one Sunday afternoon, as you would expect place not busy but a nice relaxed atmosphere. Contemporary decorated with tables and chairs or the odd sofa and comfy chairs (best). looking out onto woodlands road where you can watch the world go by. Coffee was great with lots of choice for something different, I tried the Raspberry Mocha, cakes were lovely too and prices average for the area. place is clean and staff friendly. There was also an area for using your laptop or mobile devices. Recommend giving it a try.

Inexperienced and unengaged staff, couldn't make a decent coffee. The cafe seemed sloppy end messy in general. You get good free wifi and they have decent product but the staff let it down.

Visited with my dad for lunch last week. Went for the soup and sandwhich deal and the soup was unbearably spicy! The only saving grace was jugs of water next to the counter. That had put me off slightly. Nice setting and good particularly if you want computer ideas. But a sour taste and a burnt tongue for me!

Have been going to this cafe for a few months now (usually mid-late evening, mid week) with family and our jack russell terrier as it was supposed to be a "dog friendly" cafe. However, on turning up last Thursday evening we were asked to sit outside because we werent allowed to have the dog in the cafe. Apparently people had complained about having dogs in the cafe. Bit of a mixed message from the young girl who served us as she said it was ok "if the cafe was quiet", but due to the fact that people had complained and people "might have allergies" etc, we weren't allowed to sit inside on this occasion. Don't worry, we won't be back on any occasion, with or without our dog.

I just dropped in the coffee shop only to try their pistachio hot chocolate. Trust me, its taste is mind blowing. Absolutely delicious. My hot chocolate at first was not hot at all however the girl who assisted is was VERY friendly and genuine enough to reason the problem and make another one of it pretty hot. An awesome place for chillin out with friends.

best hot chocolate in glasgow[just make sure you ask for it extra hot] as it can be a touch luke warm..but very tasty and creamy, much better than starbucks or costa by miles...also have gluten free sandwiches which was great, vegetarian one also. most people were in with laptops and chilling..

Terrible wifi for an "icafe" - depending on where you sit, you can't connect to it at all.While the menu seems impressive for a cafe, the food is either very good or very poor - and overpriced either way. The staff however, are always very friendly and helpful.

What can I say. Brilliant. I had something special to print off for a funeral and the management went above and beyond to help me with this. Thank you! It was deeply appreciated. For me, good management says a lot about a place! The internet is cheap and they have a printing facility. This cafe also has suki tea which pleased me greatly! I can't often find it in other cafés. Spacious, couches, booths and tables so lots of places to sit and chat and open till 9.30pm most nights. I'll definitely be back and would recommend for a chilled out cuppa. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!

The wifi doesn't work. When you connect it is painfully slow. Otherwise a great internet cafe- the staff are extremely friendly, the coffees are good and the food is reasonably priced.

I like the iCafe because you can have your coffee in so many different strengths and sizes. Others in my family don`t rate it but I keep going back. It`s very relaxed with a really chilled, casual atmosphere.

Have not been at this cafe for a while. I am guten intolerant and it is so good to see iCafe catering for people like myself.The quality and range of panini, baked potatoes and soup is excellent. Equally good is the coffee and sweet things. All very relaxed with excellent service from staff.As the name suggests you can log on either with your own device or use one of the cafe's desktop computers.

This branch changed hands, and was re-furbed a while ago, and since then it seems livlier and more enjoyable. Their coffees are great, and the staff efficient and helpful.

Attended several times recently and pretty impressed with staff. Very friendly and obliging. So glad to see gluten free toasties on the menu! Not many places do that, now the diet fad has abated. So being a lifelong coeliac, (gluten free), enlightened seeing this. Pretty tasty too, staff very chatty, good vibe and very obliging! Only complaint, coffee, latte, differs in volume every single time!! Toilets need a lick of paint!

Went in on a Saturday morning around 10am and ordered scrambled egg on toasted brown bread. My wife ordered porridge. She was having tea and I wanted coffee. Ten minutes after ordering the girl informed me there was no eggs? I ordered ham and toast. My coffee arrived a minute later and was warm but not hot. I'd finished my coffee and my wife was still awaiting tea and still no food but it wasn't busy? I then received 4 of the thinnest pieces of bacon imaginable on a plate with two slices of white bread toasted. No brown bread? I then order another coffee and my wife's porridge and tea arrived at the same time. The porridge was good and the tea too.However, I suddenly realised that the guy at the next table was irate when I received my second coffee as it turned out my first coffee should have gone to his table - hence things were out of synch. It was a bit like faulty towers. Nice décor poor service.

Reading the reviews we thought this would be a great place for a coffee and breakfast. Well we must have been unlucky, with the two dilatory members of staff on duty it was doomed from the start. I thought microwaves where things from the past these days. Not how I wanted my breakfast nap cooked. The bap itself fell to pieces. No salt......how can a cafe run out of salt and pepper?Plastic cutlery ....... Need I go on?

Fantastic meal at icafe, we all ordered the Piri Piri chicken burrito and it was fab not too spicy but enough! The service was also great! Would definitely go back.

I have visited iCafe at least 3 times now. It has several convenient locations around Glasgow, very good service, and a wide variety of coffees on the menu. The problem is, they do not serve half of the menu! The staff claim that the frappe are only served during the summer. Come on! Summer doesnt happen in Glasgow! Other than that, the syrup and sugar makes the coffee really tasty. This place is better than Starbucks and Costa.

I've been here a few times with my friend.The drinks are a little above average, but the hot chocolate and coffee are excellent.The cake range is very much in my taste (chocolate & peppermint cake)The sandwiches are great.Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere is perfectly suited to an iCafe.

Looking for somewhere a little relaxed without the excessive arty flamboyance of a truly hipster coffee house? The iCafe is a friendly, warm establishment with no delusions of grandeur. It delivers on customer service, good coffee, wide cake selections and speedy wifi, which is, in all honesty, what most of its patrons have dropped by for.

We found shelter from the rain here and we're warmly greeted with a delicious fresh coffee smell. As you walk in your eye is drawn to the counters which are full of sandwiches, a huge range of drinks and an extensive range of cake choices! After selecting a yummy looking muffin and ordering a latte we were invited to sit down where we liked. You have a choice of normal chairs and tables, sofas clustered around tables, or comfortable leather chairs around tables. We selected the sofas and they were very comfy. The coffee arrived quickly and was excellent, the barista had even shaped the foam of the latte to look like a Christmas tree. The atmosphere was relaxed and they was tasteful Christmas songs in the background. The menu was clearly displayed on the wall with a wide range of fresh options. They even have a section of the wall they dedicate to local artists.

Unfortunately this I-cafe is quite over priced for what you receive. The printer inside is costly, and certainly not student friendly. Bigger portions would improve the rating.

I pop in here on a regular basis. The service is always prompt and efficient. How about more comfortable chairs? Some are really quite uncomfortable so this is my only criticism. Otherwise this is a great place for a decent coffee and snack. The student discount is also a draw for cash strapped scholars.

The cafe has two 'zones', one like the normal cafe hustle and bustle and one which is more quieter. I prefer the quieter zone with a nice cuppa. The food selection is good. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff pleasant. Definitely worth a visit.

I used to come here for breakfast/lunch before uni with my boyfriend. It was lovely, with really good food for good value. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Service was quick and I loved to just chill out here with a coffee, would definetly recommend.

I visit this icafe on a regular basis and travel/walk about 5 miles to get there I like this care so much ! The staff have excellent manners and the service is the best. The music is really good and in the background.The only thing that lets it down is that the whole place needs a deep clean. Especially the pc keyboards. Im sure it would be busier if it was cleaner. Apart from that I think its a great,comfortable cafe and I would walk 6 miles to get there. Cheese toasties to die for=D

Great place to grab a coffee or have lunch, the parking good as well, good meeting place as well, lots seats, good music and internet, what more do you need, Oh good food and great coffee.I don't want to tell you about it because you will make it to busy:)

Regular user of the icafe stores on Woodlands, great Western Rd and sauchiehall st in the city centre. Food is always good if u want it on the go. Coffee and I love the teas too. Staff give you water free each time and ask for top ups regularly without ever making me feel uneasy as to further purchase. Internet is handy but the atmosphere is great. A must visit.

The I-Cafe on Woodlands Rd. is a fantastic place to meet friends and the best coffee in Glasgow.The staff provides great service, always with a smile, very friendly which makes it an enjoyableexperience. Have been coming here every summer for several years and the quality of thiscafe has never wavered. Way to go Omar , Rudy, Anna and Louise, et al

This has always been my favourite place to stop for coffee, meal or take-away when attending evening classes at nearbye St Andrew's Building. The new manager took the trouble to have customers complete a survey to see how he could further improve the cafe. There is a choice of seating from squishy sofas to bars stools to perch on. The menu is interesting and varied with specials changing weekly. The coffee is smooth and not too strong although the staff will make it to your exacting requirements. I've never needed to make use of the Internet or photocopying facilities but the rate for both seem reasonable judging by the volume of people wishing to use the services.Don't forget the great discount for students!
