Ibis Coventry South in Coventry

Van drivers beware this place is a thief's dream. The car park is poorly lit and despite parking my van in one of the few spots covered by a CCTV camera, my side door had been done within an hour of arrival. The overnight desk staff didn't want to know & told me to take it up with the manager in the morning. Management agreed to check the cameras "when they got chance". I went back the following afternoon and was told nothing was visible, meaning either they have no working cameras or they weren't interested in helping, as the CCTV was pointed directly at my van. They refused to let me view the footage and said they'd only deal with the Police, who weren't interested either. So all in all, an extremely expensive stay for a single night in a budget motel. Save yourself the hassle, pay the extra up front and stay somewhere safer.

Not sure what to expect at this "Motel" style hotel. But amazing staff. Amazing rooms and rooms car park. We will be back

Breakfast was awful! - the coffee smelled so bad I couldn't drink it. The hotel itself is in a good location and the room was clean. It was fine for a one night stay

Lovely staff. Rooms were clean but a bit chalet like. Twin beds were next to each other, not so good if you want a bit of distance from friend. Little cafe and bar were neat and not overpriced and the young gentleman who checked us in couldn't do enough to help us get settled.

Had a Great time in ibis coventry south , I stayed for 12 nights , Breakfast was amazing and the staff were very good and professional.

Firstly I wanted to say the staff were all friendly however the hotel itself has seen better days (about 30 years ago) the car park needs relaying as there are road cones everywhere warning of holes in the concrete, the main accommodation building is falling apart and the rooms are dark and dingy and need an extremely good deep clean and a general repair, the bed frame and surrounding floor was covered in white powder which I can only assume was to stop bed bugs but didn’t settle nerves that you were going to be bitten all night. My suggestion is to knock the building down and start again.

A very good and comfortable hotel with excellent value for money. The staff is friendly and courteous. Manager Florin always greets us warmly and does everything possible to meet our needs along with the reception team. Housekeeper Teresa excels at her job, consistently delivering 5-star service and being welcoming and receptive, exceeding our expectations. Kudos to the housekeeping team as well, as the rooms are always impeccable.

I love Ibis Coventry South. I've stayed there a few times. They've got comfortable beds, lovely showers, loads of parking and fantastic staff. Always so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. In the evening at the bar there's always someone to chat to. They've got lovely food too and so reasonably priced! I request the rooms overlooking the grass, it's so peaceful. They've got outside seating and we even had a barbecue one night! What a fabulous place.

This is a fabulous hotel! Easy to find (my Google maps brought me straight here) and it’s in the most wonderful location, a lovely woodland setting. My room was great with a fabulous walk in shower, fancy LED mirror, sink and toilet with one of the best flushes I’ve experienced. I’ve stayed multiple times at Holiday Inn and it’s not a patch on this place (plus my car was smashed in!) Ibis beds are always comfy (no annoying springs sticking through), extra pillows, hairdryer, tea/coffee, plenty of storage space and even a fan! This hotel is great value and you get a lot for your money compared to other more expensive hotels in the area. Steve, the chef, prepared delicious, reasonably priced food and is always ready with a friendly chat. All the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. This will now be my ‘Go To’ hotel whilst visiting Coventry. Thank you again to all the team!

Great place to stay. Very clean, easy to be found even though a lot of reviews said it is not. Great staff, housekeeping and reception. I will definitely come back

On the way back from Coventry it took an extra 40 miles....if I had took the more direct route it would've saved me about 40 miles

The photos on website are heavily either photoshopped or lighten up or both. It needs someone with a power washer for communal areas as well as a tin of paint all over. However, it's clean, staff is polite. Moat of other customers look a little dodgy. But overall it's a decent stay. Needs Aircon!

Sat nav sends you un the opposite direction, exterior light on all night ,shinning into the room ,curtains dont fit the windows to keep the light out . The rooms are very dark needing a light on in the middle of the day .if you like pizza your onto a winner !!!!!

This is the 5th time in 3 years we have stayed here. Its easy to get to in Whitley Coventry if yoo follow the signs for the David Lloyd sports centre. Again.we found our room.quiet and very clean. Bed was comfortable. Tv tea/coffee making facilities Reception is just over the car park (which could do.with a resurface and tidy to make it look more welcoming. We always have a balcony room overlooking the car park but there are other rooms facing the river Staff all very helpful.and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Only a 10 minute walk to Asda on The London Road along a path next to hotel. Or 15 minutes if you go over the old bridge and left onto the housing estate. 22 Bus over from Asda into Coventry city centre if you dont want to drive We have never had a bad stay here abd plan to return again in a few weeks

Had an overnight stay for a business trip. The food i got served was very good and the service was top notch. The reception from the hotel staff was very welcoming, which is worth mentioning because they were very helpful from check in to check out. They were ready to help and very polite.
