Have been a long time customer of this kebab shop but what on EARTH has happened?? First of all, the staff act as if they’re doing you a favour by serving you. There’s about 10 blokes stood behind the counter all speaking and laughing in Turkish the whole time. It’s a horrible environment. Secondly the price of the food now is CRAZY! £7.90 for a SMALL donner kebab?! Come on now, I know it’s 2023 but that’s absolutely preposterous. What’s worse is, they seem to be creeping prices up every few months. Cost of living crisis or not that’s shady behaviour, you’ve now reached the point where you’ve priced yourself out of the market. I won’t be coming back.

I love a kebab! The chicken shish kebab is expensive at Hythe Kebab Centre. We buy one between us these days with a portion of chips to share. The staff make it fresh while we wait. They are busy, often surly and insist on being paid cash. Once I walked out as I had no cash and they let me use card on that occasion.

I always try and get their chicken burgers when I am in the area, they are incredible.

Ordered at 19:30 after an hour I called to see what was taking so long and they lost my order somehow so never got my food.

He asked if I wanted take away and I said yes than he replied “which way” 😢 that left me devastated later he than asked if I wanted salad and I replied no than he says “u no want the rabbit food” and my rabbit had recently died so he made me tear up a little. Amazing food, good chicken sandwich.

Credit where it is due, I had a lovely take away tonight. Lots of tasty salad. Ordered a cheese burger and have to say it was 10 times better than other known chains in the fact it came it with lots of salad and a lovely garlic mayo. Thank you. I will be back.

Had kebab meat and chips. Very good sized portion. All very tasty. Chilli sauce is decent, and suitably spicy!

Very small kabab shop that doesn't sell chicken donner would be nice if staff interact with the customers a bit more. You are much better ordering and paying the extra to have it delivered. Can definitely tell there is a cost of living crisis with their portion sizes too.

Chips are always stale tasting. Chicken burger is either amazing or tough and chewy.

Staff great very friendly and the food (which is the most important bit) lovely highly recommend it

It doesn't get better than these guys. Fresh grilled special chicken and shish combination and a large portion of chips. Lovely team and great food.

Not a great experience had a small kebab salad was nice very very small portion of meat which was tough and chewy if I lived closer I would have taken it back.

We have never been disappointed in this shop. We have the same thing every time and I can not complain in the slightest. The food is hot and seasoned and cooked well and tasty!! We are proud to support our local community and would not have any issue in recommending the shop to anyone. A great place for the end of night or a weekday"cheat" meal.. Thank you so much.

Seems the prices has been going up week on week this year to the point that a kebab and chips is near on £18.00 Food quality is average but portions have been shrinking. Disappointing, will now go elsewhere quality does not match the gourmet prices

Just what's needed at the end of the night.

Rubbish. Cash only that was annoying. Ordered for 3 people paid for all food and when home they missed out one person entire order chips and meat. Found them slightly rude as well. Thumbs down from me.

The bloke who answered it probably grew up in isolation, a wolf pack maybe? Was very rude and I guess didn't wanna be there, but being confined in a hot kebab shop instead of his usual habitat I can't blame him, either way, the food was good, always a nice kebab! 👍

It took an hour and a half for delivery, when it arrived everything was cold, the cheese on the chips had gone hard, and was inedible. The chips beneath the hard cheese weren’t cooked properly.

Hopefully one day Hythe Kebab will take a correct order...NO ONIONS .. Soft meat.. I was spoilt in Reading with a Kebab shop that knew my order in my first two visits! 5 years later Hythe Kebab still don't hit the mark for me ... hence only 3 stars. It is always written on the order number but never delivered by the servers !

Food was absolutely disgusting had the worst food poisoning of my life , food hygiene was abysmal as I was watching them cook on multiple occasions i noticed cross contamination going on , staff were also extremely rude and not very welcoming 10/10 would not recommend.

My Vegan friend and I used to love Hythe Kebab shop because they would do a humus kebab. It was just like a meat kebab with humus replacing the meat. We went a few days ago and when I asked for a humus kebab I was told its not on the menu but they could offer a small pot of humus with a pitta bread. They had humus, salad and pitta bread and they wouldn't put these ingredients all together because it wasn't on the menu. Needless to say we won't be going back.

This review is based on my experience on the day and could be different for you .... but I doubt it. I have been using this burger bar for a very long time. One of my 2 go to take aways in Hythe Hampshire. Mainly burgers and kebabs. Not ignoring pizza’s, but always been a Burger/Kebab kind of person. So I tried the pizza on a couple of occasions recently, going for donor meat. God they are good, so good I would put them above certain well known high street brand named pizza’s. Not running in grease, hot, very solid, tasty, good base nice tasty cheese, a good selection of fillings. So now I have the choice of Burger which is always my no 1 choice, kebab and now pizza. Decisions decisions. Try one, pretty sure you will like it.

What can I say, food from here has been amazing but in the last three weeks it's either turned up under cooked or cold. This place was or has been the best place for kebab bit now i can not waste any more money on cold or under cooked food. I have been spending a lot with Hythe Kebab but they have let themselves down. They guy at the door asking for £40 pounds was rude claiming the food to be hot when it was stone cold in a plastic bag full of sweaty water. Sorry guys you maybe busy which was your excuse when I called but no excuse for wet cold food three times on the trott.

Best in the area. Not the cheapest but rarely disappoint.it does sometimes get busy on weekends but I always prefer to go in and collect my own. I use them almost weekly, usually for donner kebab. The chips are usually great, nice and crispy and the donner meat doesn't have the same overpowering flavor as other cheaper ones that you can still taste the morning after. The chilli sauce is home made, with just the right amount of spice. I can also recommend the chicken sandwich which is far better than it sounds, a huge southern fried style escalope overhanging a burger bun with salad and sauce, it's delicious! Just make sure you have a refreshing drink handy. The salad always seems fresh and the staff are friendly. I recommend Hythe Kebab if you are in the area. Not tried a pizza yet but I've heard they are good.

Always helpful, always piping hot, always fresh salad, best chilli sauce ever! Chickens marinated perfect, never a long wait and service with a smile, just wish they opened earlier so I could have one for lunch and dinner 😂

Nice takeaway, shame they got some of our order wrong. Ordered x2 large chicken kebabs and was given chicken/lamb mix. Not a biggy.

Absolutely Tastey Kababs and very nice and clean place. Location is perfect to enjoy Kabab on a Sunny afternoon. Satff are nice and friendly, but not very generous portion sizes.

Great service, always way before the predicted time. Generally love all the food. Only issue lately is that the chicken sandwich has been VERY salty. Other than that, I can't complain 👍

Best kebab, burger, pizza takeaway in the area. They always go the extra mile and beyond. Delivery is usually quite fast compared to other takeaways. I won't ever use another place and recommend them to anyone.

I ordered a Chicken Doner Kebab, and i got something completely else,also a small instead of a large portion and i had a bit of lettuce and some meat. Nice guys.(sarcastic) Never ever again.

Ordered number of kebabs for me and friends ar 2200, phoned shop at 2330 asked where order was told 5 to 10 minutes, now 0035 no order no answer at shop and they have taken £35 from my credit card. All I can say is totally let down and would never trust this shol again

First good kebab place in Southampton area. This is the only good kebab that I have been eating without preparing it myself. Will go again. You will go again as well.

Ordered food for collection , after a lengthy wait even though collection time given . Customers coming in to complain off wrong orders whilst I was waiting . Got home and missing item from order , after numerous phone calls and promises of delivery within 20 mins , food finally showed up 2hrs later . Food was amazing like always but for some reason person taking orders must of been new .

Literalmente nunca he pagado tanto por este tipo de comida. No estaba bien, pero no estaba mal el precio, sin embargo, se debía regar. Chicken kebabs and chicken burgers are unreal. My partner and I visit on a regular basis. The service is fast and frinedly. The food is outstanding!

Lovely food always cooked from fresh

The girl who answers the phone is rude and always in a rush. Kebab used to be nice but now you can only eat the top half as the rest is swimming in grease so horrible. But the do the best chicken burgers around and burgers are always nice.

Top of the range kebabs and pizzazz burgers .quick and polite .deserve a gold medal for there exerlent polite and friendly family business. Well done.🎖

Most of the people from there come from my home nation, its very small, but they are super friendly and they serve amazing 1/4 pounders,1/2 pounders and whole cheeseburgers they are in hythe center near the seafront and their food is cheap and nice!!!!!! 👍

Este es el mejor kebab de pollo que he tenido. Nos alojamos en el Boathouse en el puerto deportivo, que también es muy bueno y he visitado esta tienda kebab muchas veces. Mi otra mitad tiene un kebab mixto y él dice que no puedes vencerlo en sabor, calidad y cantidad. No como otras tiendas de kebab, el pollo es una pechuga de pollo adecuada, marinada y cocinada a la perfección. ¡No puedes mejorar! ! !

Been using this kebab shop for years and after tonights food I'm not going to be using them again it's gone down hill not happy with service and quality of food cold and bad presitation

Ordered two burgers and chips, noticed pair of toasted cold burger buns tossed to side of grill along with some stale looking pitta breads, watched them serve our burgers in the cold tossed aside buns and wrap them. I asked to check buns and they then had realised I had seen what they had done and asked if I wanted new buns..... Don't eat here unless you like investing in toilet paper!🤢

I don't know if the shop has changed hands or what. The last two times we have ordered from here the delivery has been wrong and its been really cold food.. Not impressed with them anymore.
