We were so pleased to have outdoor seating at this Mandarin Oriental spot that overlooks Hyde Park. The service is beyond A+.

I keep returning for the gracious hospitality (sommelier from Bari and greeters at the host stand were wonderful and personalised our experience this time) and for the spotless service and delicious food. Really loved Crab Salad and Beef Rossini!

Boulud is a safe bet if you need to have a bite in the Kengsington neighborhood, it's a nice french bistro at the Manadrin with good quality ingredients and nice professional staff.. I had the veal tartar, very good cut au couteau wich does not crush the meat and leave a clean feel when one eat these micro cubes. I have to say that each time I have black truffle at any Boulud restaurant, in NY , London, or Baltimore, it is tasteless and without the typical perfume, it is always odorless. This for me is a major inconvenient. A real Tuber Melanospurum should fill the room with its smell, if it does not, I suspect it just is not the real one, but a pale imitation from China or somewhere else than Perigord. If you want real truffle in London go to Helene Darose, or a two star Michelin... The pintade fermiere was delicious, very simply presented, a bit too much potatoes, but it was well prepared and coocked. The only things I did not like this time was the special negroni, that is a sweet syrupy american kids decoction, and the fondant au chocolat, a small lava cake identical to any one see in several other restaurants, same taste and aspect, I suspect it is industrialy prepared and shipped world wide frozen to anybody, but I cant prove it. The difference with this one is that it fell on my stomach like a brick and I was I'll for the rest of the day. The tacky embience music match the rich and tacky patrons, probably attracted by the world famous temple of expensive vulgarity nearby: Harrods.

Overall excellent my only suggestion would be to maybe offer another vegetarian option to the veg burger already on the menu (which is delicious) ?

Really disappointed in our whole experience. Our neighbours sat there watching videos on their phones with speakers on the whole meal. Not the soundtrack you want to your romantic meal. The staff did nothing so I went and asked if there was any policy on this as it shouldn’t be up to me to ask them to turn the volume down. All I was offered was the opportunity for me to move table. I understand that people are more Reliant on phones for entertainment these days but surely a good restaurant doesn’t allow phones to compromise other diners experience.

We went for New Years eve dinner and were given a table at the far back (in the kitchen casual dining area) basically not the main restaurant. When queried about being seated in this casual area, we were told the main restaurant was booked out, however they then offered to serve us dessert in the main restaurant. Very disappointing first impression.

Food was delicious. Service by waitress at first was very poor . The manager stepped in and the service was excellent by him. It would have been nice to have had some sort of holiday decorations for New Year’s Eve . Loved the sea bass and the autumn salad

A little disappointed with this visit ( we are regulars). It is best to get a table in the front of restaurant where there is more room and less noise.

Used to be a frequent visitor but hadn't been for a while. However, had a very enjoyable meal and shall be returning - the service was to be commended.

Meal booked for 10, arrived at 9:45 after having a drink in Mandarin Bar and was shown to the front desk. Was told to have a drink at the bar, whilst the table was prepared. At 10:10 I approached the desk to ask if they had forgotten about me. I watched as a table was made up near the entrance and was then shown my table. Waited an age for service. Can’t fault the food, Dover sole for main was superb. After I reserved the meal on open table it said someone would be in touch to secure the booking and nobody did. In hindsight, I should have followed it up as I don’t think the booking was made. Also no count down or anything for New Year, so it was a bit flat.

Had a very nice birthday meal for my son, food was very nice and staff very polite and friendly. A great place to visit for food and drink after shopping 😊

It was very busy when we went and the staff had to be asked several times to bring drinks and take our order. The burger was delicious but the chips were incredibly salty and not overly hot.

We loved it, the food was delicious and the Team were wonderful. The wine list was great and we will be back!

I have had six Christmas Lunches at Bar Boulud. We arrived on time and the receptionist said she didn't have a reservation for us . We convinced her that we did including email confirmations. She asked to see the emails. Really ? Sure we always go to restaurants with emails. We were taken to a table at the back next to where the chefs were preparing the food . It was noisy and immediately two tables of screaming children were seated next to us. The food was excellent. However , the rest of our experience was not elegant . The member of staff that organised the christmas crackers should be fired immediately. We paid £270 for a mediocre experience. The fact that we have been there six times for Christmas meant nothing. In fact they had never heard of us or could find our reservation.

It was Christmas dinner. We were welcomed by the friendliest hostess, Maria. The food, wine and overall experience were wonderful.

Yet another great night out at Bar Boulud...nobody makes a better burger!! The experience was as usual flawless!! We visited on Christmas Eve and great start to the festive season! Thoroughly recommended!!

This hit the spot on every level. Outstanding service, hugely knowledgeable sommelier with first class recommendations, perfectly executed food. We had escargots, steak tartare, grilled octopus and duck terrine (we shared four starters and skipped a main), followed by an unbeleivable mango souffle - just wow!

Tom our waiter originally from Ireland was very pleasant and professional. Food was amazing as usual.

First time visit to the MO. Bar Boulud was simply awesome. Fantastic staff, excellent menu and quality food. Dedicated Sommelier who knew his stuff and shared it with us nicely We will be back here soon for sure!

I’ve been coming here sporadically over the last seven(?) years and was always a fan. However, it has become increasingly clear that it’s simply not worth the money for quite average food and drinks (don’t bother asking for even a simple classic cocktail). I think it has gone downhill a bit, with simple dishes being below gastropub quality. There are many better options around and we will not be returning here again.

Had not been back for some time. We went regularly wen it opened first. I am glad I returned. The food was good. The staff very good and not bad value. Definitely will be back to my regular visits.

It’s amazing how a restaurant can change. Whilst it is 2 years since my last visit this place is now a very poor version of the restaurant it once was. Clearly the Knightsbridge set have moved on. The menu, food and service are now basic and really poor value for money. Sad to say this won’t be somewhere I will go back to again. I would avoid. It’s now just a hotel restaurant rather than a great restaurant in a hotel.

We loved our experiences at Bar Boulder this week!! Impeccable service, food, and ambiance. Friendly place too.

Very disappointed with the service. Seated for 15 minutes and had to ask for menus then waited another 10 minutes to order. People next to us arrived after us and had already got their drinks and ordered their food. As we could see things were taking so long all we ordered was a charcuterie plate and soup. In total we spent 1 hour 40 minutes just for a bowl of soup. We also had to ask twice just to get the bill. We were staying at the hotel and were extremely surprised by the service in this restaurant.

Amazing food and very friendly service. Unpretentious but very high quality. We went to celebrate a birthday and they gave a lovely mousse treat with happy birthday written in icing. A very nice touch I thought. I will go again, I had a very nice time and would like to try other dishes.

Had one of the best meals within memory. Menu truly authentic French. Our two main courses, quenelles and roast guinea hen were done perfectly. Wine list is extensive. Prices high but what one has come to expect for the classier wines. Ambience still a bar bistro, less enticing than the food. Sommelier Miguel excellent. Do go!

The restaurant has a great atmosphere, lively music but not to loud that obstructs conversations. The staff where professional and courteous, coming to the table at the right times, bringing the food at a prudent amount in between, and not taking long to fulfil small requests. The food was amazing, although I got what I wanted, I wish there was less hearty options that is not a salad. I would find it difficult to bring someone to the restaurant who has a different taste then I do. I wish the dessert menu as well had more options like a simple cake or a pie. Sometimes the simplest thing is exactly what you need after a great meal.

Fantastic food, excellent service, but the place needs updating

First time diner. Pleasantly surprised with the vegetarian options. The vege burger was delicious and our party of 4 all agreed that the french fries were perfecto!!! Good wine menu though my waiter didn't quite know his grapes as well as he might've tried... I managed to get something I liked so all was well. I would recommend Bar Boulud to anyone and everyone looking for a classy place to dine that won't let you down. (not that pricey)

We all had a fabulous lunch to celebrate my husbands 60th Birthday. Delicious food, probably the best burger in town! The oysters and snails were top notch . We had the profiterole the finish and they were lovely. Also forgot to mention the fantastic cocktails. Looking forward to our next visit.

The atmosphere is lovely- friendly and welcoming. The food in general was of a very good quality, only let down was how oily the French Onion soup was. Other than that - will definitely be coming back!

Been a while since I came here and it's not as good as I remember. Food was "OK", not bad but not memorable either. The skate in particular was way too salty but generally most of the dishes were. We didn't like the service - on the one hand clearing up as soon as the last bite had been eaten (or was still being eaten), on the other forgetting to bring things we'd ordered or one two occasions bringing two when we'd ordered one. A bit of a mess really

Nice enough restaurant, however staff oscillated from overkill (three different members of staff working the table) to zero (merrily chatting amongst themselves and not noticing the clients). Little flexibility in the menu, very limited side orders and even with a children’s menu it’s again not that flexible. Somewhat surprised we had to make a reservation for 6pm in a Wednesday, especially as he restaurant was empty (14 guests when we left at 7.45pm) In addition you receive two email confirmations and reminders and then have to confirm by calling the restaurant (what’s the point in using an online platform if I have to call the restaurant, surely they should call you as the client?) seems like a pointless booking system. Put another way, if the aim is to make it hard and time consuming then they are fast approaching success in this respect. Additionally frustrated that the restaurant was unable to accept or process the bill using an American Express card, especially strange as the restaurant was suggested by American Express’s Concierge team. Work to be done I’m afraid.

Always reliable, consistent, nice looking food. The waitress responsible for our table was extremely efficient and bubbly/friendly - and provided a high level of service. The charcuterie board was very good and included unusual offerings, but the burger didn't quite live up to expectations. The blackberry soufflé was too delicate for my taste, although the yoghurt sorbet was excellent!

Impeccable service, delicious food and good ambiance. Best burgers in town.

Admittedly a late evening booking on a wet and quiet evening, but as soon as the plates had been cleared, the noise began. Not the noise of people enjoying themselves, but a deliberate crash and bang of cutlery and furniture moving by particular member of staff who clearly felt we should leave. Having asked for the bill and paid a visit to the facilities, we found our belongings left by the back door. Indeed a very subtle hint! Being local I have spent many happy hours at Bar Baloud, but this was by far the worse experience I have ever had. Come on Mandarin sort it out. If you don't want your guests, don't open your doors!

Burger was excellent and service very prompt and accurate...really pleasant and will definitely do it again!

Only had 2 halal choices, chicken and beef which was ok but then they only had one dish of each left. The chicken was very poorly presented, chewy and probably broken out of the freezer with a crow bar. Service still top notch.

Bar Boulud is a nicely balanced dining option for those who want a classy setting without it being stuffy or pretentious. Prices are reasonable for this type of establishment and the comfortable seating and professional staff makes a great evening. The food is quite good too. Recomended.

It was my sixth time at Bar Boulud, as I had always considered one of my favourite places in London. The cocktails were excellent as usual. However this time the quality of the food was rather disappointing. I probably won't be going back again.

We went to Bar Boulud not one but THREE times during our 12 day stay in London. We loved it, first because though the ambience is relaxed and casual, the food is not. The food is worthier of a much more stuffy kind of restaurant, haute cuisine. THE BEST ONION SOUP I ever ate; a plate of perfect madeleines for dessert; mussels that were all plump and perfectly cooked, without a cracked one in the bunch; and terrific burgers (our favorite was the Frenchy). A young and multilingual wait staff, quite efficient. We loved Bar Bolud and would recommend it to anyone going to London.

Bar Boulud is always reliable and charming in providing excellent quality food, expertly served by well mannered young staff who certainly appear to enjoy doing their jobs. Wine list intelligent and comprehensive. I’m a regular!

For all the hype around this restaurant it was just ok for me. The dining room is set up in a way that’s quite awkward and the food just wasn’t up to par. I wouldn’t recommend this place- save your money for a different one.

Chilled cucumber soup was interesting. Venison sausage was awesome! And the desserts very pretty! Shame weather didn’t hold up for the terrace!
