Disappointing. Incurs hidden charges for dogs to stay. I had checked the website and rung up to confirm dogs were allowed in rooms and for any extra charges, none were mentioned. I happily booked and paid for the room, only to receive an email stating each dog would be an extra £10. Normally I don’t mind paying extra for my dog, but the fact that they didn’t state this on their website (room said ‘pets welcome’ at point of booking, no extra charge) and i had asked over the phone about the dogs they did not declare the charges. We cannot cancel because of 2 day cancellation policy, so are now forced to pay undeclared £10 fee per dog or loose our £60 room payment. Really unprofessional and bad management. Again, normally I am happy to pay for pets when I stay as long as they are clear and upfront about charges.

I received a warm welcome from the landlord, a very nice chap. The menu is varied and good value for money, not fine dining but good honest quality pub food. I ordered a main and it arrived 20 minutes later, nice presentation, good portion size, hot and very tasty. The bar had a very good selection of ales and cider. The pub was warm and cosy on a cold day and the Landlord was chatty but not intrusive. The bar area was spotlessly clean as were the toilets (gents) The garden area looked nice, but far to chilly on my visit. I will definitely return when I'm in the area again. Many thanks.

We stayed at the Hunters Moon for just one night after an evening of badger watching with the Henley hillbillies. The badger watching is about 10 minutes away, so this pub was very convenient. We received a warm welcome and thought it was excellent value and a great place to stay. It is located on a quiet road amidst open fields. We were surprised how good it was! Our room was large and well-appointed with a desk where I could place my laptop computer, a six foot double bed, tea and coffee making facilities (with biscuits!) a very modern bathroom with a shower (only) and a good sized wash basin. The room also had a television, good Wi-Fi, a hair dryer and adequate hanging space. Breakfast was downstairs in the pub itself. We asked for a continental breakfast and were delighted by an enormous pot of tea together with warm croissants, pain au chocalats and pain au raisins! Altogether a delightfully pub.

Visited the Fun Factory on a rainy day with my baby. To book in, other children in the waiting area were running into his pram. The gates were hard to open. Upon arrival, we were told, that the only available tables were upstairs and there was no lift! I had to carry the baby and pram up the stairs. Walking through the downstairs department was like trying to run through a jungle. We finally got to our table which was covered in what looked like chewed food and saliva and all over the chairs too. I am aware that soft play areas are noisy but this was more than that. I took the baby down to play in the under 3's section which was a tiny cage. There weren't many activities for him to play with. The baby mirror in there was dirty, the ball pit was over crowded. To get on the slide, it was a climb and with a baby, it proves impossible. Older children were coming in the baby section and scaring him and leaving the gate open which I was furious about. The sensory toys were broken. A 7 year old girl was in there throwing balls at him too and I had a go at her mum and told them to get out. I told a member of staff and they did nothing about it. He also had some lunch there which looked cheap and processed. You could literally see the fat dripping off it. You are apparently allowed to take the babies in the older children's play area but I was straight away put off when i saw the filth on some of the children's socks and the rate they were running around! In order to make this a better place you really need to add a lift, make a better play area for babies, get friendlier and more helpful staff, healthier food, clean the place and maybe even give it a revamp, buy more toys for the baby area and in general make it more appealing. Until Fun Factory up their game, I'm certainly not going back. Unless you want your babies to have a day of being in the worst play area of all time, don't come here!

Was all set to enjoy a coffee in my favourite Costa ( see review Jan 23 ) when I witnessed the best example of managerial skill I have ever seen . I imagine that the customer in question may have underlying social problems . He was unbelievable rude - over a cookie . The abuse that staff were subjected to because they had unfortunately sold out was totally disproportionate. Sir , get a life . Staff , well done for the calm and professional way you handled an extremely unpleasant situation !

We had a great welcome and explanation of the various menu options Then another member of staff, manager maybe as she wasn’t in a uniform and didn’t look tidy, started to mess us about moving seats and things, and not in a particularly polite way Had we not already got the children comfortable I’d have walked and given a better deserving business my money

I was unaware that the Pub was not actually open. Just the b and b. So instead of a lovely meal and drink in the Pub we stayed in which was my intention we had to get in the car and go out (moving the barrier across the car park to get out.) £105 outrageous price for 'Deluxe room'. which was basically a big room with a noisy fridge in it. Though it was very clean and comfortable. I received an email saying the pub was shut on the day I went on holiday to Cornwallm so didn't see it. Nowhere on there website does it say it's closed.

New owners and what a great meal we had. Currently living in the Midlands and we have a superb range of great curry houses. Not often I come across a menu where I want to try such a range of dishes, it took us ages to pick our choices. They do all of the usuals from tikka Madala to Rogan Josh. In addition there are really interesting Indian dishes including lobster, squid and beef rump. The three of us chose 2 starters and 3 mains between us. The trio of chicken was delicious, even though one of them was bright green! The lamb strips were fabulous, like a minted red current jelly lamb with an Indian twist. If you like a rich slightly sweet curry the lamb and apricot could be for you. My sis had the lamb shank which just fell off the bone. Ann loved her New Delhi chicken which was creamy and full of flavour. The Naan was some of the best I’ve had, light and crisp and the mushroom rice was another triumph. We will definitely eat here again, I’m a real foodie and this was such a lovely surprise, great food, £21 a head with drinks, bargain!
