When I walked past and saw “cakery” on the door, naturally I couldn’t resist popping in. It didn’t disappoint, with a tremendous selection is a glass counter. There were the more “usual” options as well such as Victoria Sponge or Coffee & Walnut cake and even these looked quite spectacular, certainly far better than usual offerings one finds. But even if they were extra special, I thought I’d try something different and so opted for a Bakewell Blondie bar complete with half a miniature Bakewell tart on top! To be honest, it didn’t have quite the wow factor I was expecting perhaps, but it was nonetheless very good, just the right amount of sweetness, lovely and moist and a generous portion. Across the table a Rocky Road on steroids was also well received, and accompanying latte was very good too. Overall, highly recommended.

I couldn't resist stopping here to try the cake and it didn't disappoint. Nicely presented and friendly staff. I was spoilt for choice so ended up getting a savoury filled croissant too - it was the best croissant I've ever had!

Superb flavours, excellent and interesting sweets and really good coffee. Super clean and staff very friendly. Cannot recommend enough. A big window to watch the world go by outside.

My husband and I stopped off for coffees but were also tempted by the idea of warm scones - we were so pleased we had them - seriously delicious with jam and clotted cream (£3.50 each) and our cappuccinos were great too. The bakery had a good selection of yummy looking cakes also plus in itself had a lovely decor and good atmosphere.

This is a lovely friendly clean cafe. The cakes are beautiful. The service is excellent and we go whenever we are in Burford.

What a great tea room. The scones and clotted cream were very nice. The service was friendly and good and the way everything was served up was excellent. Excellent tea and coffee too.

We came across this cafe whilst visiting burford the selection of cakes are excellent and overwhelming the staff are fantastic and very helpful and friendly I would recommend anybody to go it’s well worth a visit the prices are very fair for the quality and area we will certainly be back Keith north wales 👍🏾

We visited in March ( on a very cold & wet day) and popped in for coffee & cake. The staff were very welcoming and there was a huge selection of tray bakes, brownies, cakes and savoury options available. The good was tasty and the coffee was lovely & hot! There was a relaxing atmosphere in the cafe & it was clearly popular with both locals & tourists. We would definitely recommend and return.

Best coffee in Burford, with gluten free options and almond milk 👌 we went to two other places before this and had disappointing coffee. We were on the hunt for something that hit the spot, and finally found this café.

Looking for somewhere to have an afternoon tea/coffee and cake, with a gluten free option the millionaire flap jack was an excellent choice, a delight to eat. The presentation of the tea and coffee was a nice touch, on individual serving tray for the tea with teapot, cup, saucer, milk, spoon and egg timer.

Overdue review for what is an excellent establishment, with the quality of tea and coffee, fresh cakes and food on offer, being consistently exceptional. Had a traditional New York style bagel and a perfectly presented latte, which looked and tasted exactly as it should. Friendly staff and proprietor in this spotless, light, bright and airy space, overlooking Burford's busy and architectually stunning High Street. A popular venue for tourists and locals seeking to make their stop-over an enjoyable experience.

I’m a regular here with usually a good review but this time not so much. I ordered a bubble tea horrifid to discover it is made with TAP WATER and a couple of pumps of syrup and then they charge you £4 for the privilege! And I can tell you it tasted exactly like tap water aswell. Discusting won’t be ordering again

Popped in on a bike trip and was greeted by very welcoming staff. I had a lovely bacon sandwich (ask for the brown sauce and thank me later) while my riding partner had an equally delicious ham and cheese croissant. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be back… the look of the cakes alone is enough to tempt me back - not that I needed any tempting! Five Stars!

This is a lovely patisserie type cake shop. The cakes sate divine with an amazing selection. We had lattes and a pot of tea Not the cheapest but the quality was good value for money. The bonus for us was a 3 month old black spaniel that was just adorable. The staff were really friendly too. Thank you ladies😁😁😁

Nicely decorated, friendly staff, and three vegan friendly cakes which were absolutely delicious, and head and shoulders above what you normally get in cafés: for example the brownie had raspberries and peanut butter.
