Hunters BBQ in Manchester

Without just ranting a massive paragraph, just avoid this place, its really bad and should be less than the 3.1 raiting currently it has now which is saying something.

Reheated chips, burnt pizza. Friend has been in bed with diarrhea for 3 days after eating one of their kebabs. You've been warned.

Me and my daughter dropped by for a bite to eat whilst visiting Manchester. Called in just after 6pm which I think was just as it opened, so we could have an evening snack. We both ordered chicken burger and chips with a can of pop, and the prices are so reasonable. Think it cost about £13 for two meals and we could sit in. We were served with a smile immediately. No other customers came in whilst we were dining here so it wasn't busy at all. Whilst we were eating the shop was getting some stock delivered so the atmosphere was a little off putting whilst we were eating, lots of shouting etc - but that's Manchester for you. The city never seems to sleep! Overall happy with the food and the service, and of course, value for money! The chips were extremely good!

Very good fast food. Nice staff. Taste Lamb tikka, it was the best we ate in Manchester, good price. We got the staff's choice of sauces. Väldigt god snabbmat. Trevligt personal. Smaka Lamb tikka, det var godaste vi åt i Manchester, bra pris. Vi fick personalsens val i såser. Någon dag kommer vi tillbaka till Manchester och kommer definitivt äta här igen.

Dreadful at best... and I was pissed.. don't bother even going in... place is an absloute dump, forgot half my order, and I didn't even bother asking for it even when I was 'eating in'

Never eaten here but they offer a service where you can pay to leave your bags through ""luggage hero"" saves you carrying your bags round all day.

I ordered basic food at Hunters, chicken donner with chips and cucumber. Chips had been pre cooked and then re-fried which gives them a disgusting look and taste. Also like eating cardboard. Chicken kebab meat was hard, so salty and almost stuck together like tar. Just awful I had a couple of chips and chewed some chicken, spat it back in the tray and then chucked it in the bin. I made it clear to the owner that it was such a rough meal he had served up and he should be ashamed of himself. He went on to offer a replacement meal but what’s the point if it’s the same cold and previously cooked food that’s being re-fried like that’s ok. Never ever again will go to Hunters. What a shame no wonder it was empty, should have took that as a massive sign not to try and eat there

Friendly guy behind the counter, with super good food

I traveled to Manchester one day and ordered food in this place. Farhad (waiter)welcomed me very well and friendly. The taste of the food was excellent. I suggest all people from all over the world to try the food here.

Had to ask multiple times whilst ordering. Got the food quickly and it was fairly poor and then was violently sick 15 mins later. Coincidence?

Got some burgers and chicken wings and they all had no taste at all, do not recommend!

Ordered a 12" veg pizza,actually got a 9" pizza (was charged for 9"). I was happy it was only 9" because it was absolutely vile.I had 2 slices then binned the rest.Not even the wildlife would enjoy that.There was so much salt in the base it was disgusting. It was a dump inside with very hostile staff.The tall bald guy was horrible ,rude and ignorant.Wouldnf dream of wasting my money here again.Salty pizza and salty staff

Bought a Chicken Karai which was more like a five day old chicken stew…. Absolutely zero taste. Bought rice which had the texture of raw rice. On the plus side, I paid 11 quid for the pleasure. I can’t say that all their food is this way but not the best first impression

From Ireland with my wife and daughter went in this place , around 4pm I have to clean the table while the two fellas behind the bar yap- yaping away didn't say thank for that then gets worse after we order our food,,the baldy fella started shouting at as ,, Pick up your food off the counter,,we have no waiters,,verry rude,looks to me that he didn't pick up any British manners lucky him cos I would love to teach him some proper Irish manner Absolutely ignorant migrant that is not happy with the our way of life..Shame on you.

I have visited hunters regularly throughout January and the food and staff never fail to disappoint! T. Ahmed goes above and beyond to provide DELICIOUS & high quality pizzas, chicken wraps and kebabs! 100% recommend after a night out 🤪

Disgusting food. Chicken curry tasted worse than supermarket ready-made meal and yes naan wasn’t even that, it was just a reheated stale tortilla. A complete abomination.

Ordered the 3 curries and rice deal with chips. It was 0230 and late . I had been out an hour after work and had two bottles of beer it was just slop and congealed. We just walked out. Didn't even bother complaining .will never eat there again

I ordered a chicken and sweetcorn pizza. They were really good for the price point. £8 for a 14 inch and the quality is similar to places that would charge a bit more. I'd recommend.

Really good pizza, absolutely terrible fish and chips, sorry! I had something in the back of my head telling me a pizza/takeaway place wouldn't do great fish and chips, but I took a gamble anyway. Still, great pizza.

With the takeaway being in a good location I was expecting some half decent food but I was very dissapointed. The portion of fish and chips was small, the chips were burnt and potato of poor quality i.e stale, barely edible, the batter was thick not bubbly and raw inside, and the fish was soggy not fully cooked at all and it definately wasn't cod, just cheap white fillet. A total rip off and let down.

Seekh kebab sandwich on naan is tasty

El chico es amable y el lugar parece bastante limpio, pero la comida sabe a quemado. He comido una hamburguesa con queso y también un kebab tikka de pollo y la carne tenía un sabor extraño. No estuve enfermo ni nada después, pero es el sabor más extraño que he experimentado. Quizás la parrilla esté rota o algo así. Realmente es una pena, ya que es un gran lugar para una comida barata a la hora del almuerzo.

This place is the worst place i have ever seen in manchester i was there today and i ordered chicken doner and kebab doner with chips and the staff gave me meat from yestarday or maybe from 2 days ago and its smells too bad i'm not letting go. this is disgusting !!

After midnight with a food craving to satiate before the tram home. Rice and three? Tempting. Double cheeseburger instead. It did the job but tasted disappointing. Served fast, though.

Considering the competition around (Al Faisal tandoori, Turkish grill etc), a drab little place for sure. We ordered kebabs and lamb Tikka. Tikka pieces had added color. In 2020, who adds food coloring. It looked like buying pieces of diseases. And no, the taste wasn't good either. Sorry. We regretted eating here.

After several beers I fancied a curry and had a chicken biriani take away. Freshly cooked, cheap, very tasty and filling.

Now where do I start? I went to Hunters Kebab shop after a mammoth session on the beer and gin with very little food intake inbetween. Myself and a colleague were ravenous at this point so opted for the large special kebab and chips. So on opening, the first disappointment was the fact that there was no salad, the second was that the chili sauce that was applied was the cheapest ketchup known to man with a dash of chili sauce added, it is also worth noting that the colour and application of the chili sauce was like a scene from the early version of Carrie. Now onto the meat; there was allegedly lamb doner, chicken tikka and some other meat within this box of wonders, sitting on a thing pretending to be pitta, it truly looked and felt, really, like a punctured rugby ball. The alleged doner meat looked to have an outer layer of skin and I almost wondered if I was going come across a tattoo on one of the foot long slices. The chicken pieces were minute and were red all the way through, and for the remaining meat, well I can't even begin to describe it. Now onto the chips; when I asked for chips I must have missed the word floating on the menu, there was so much oil within the box that we could have kept Eddie Stobarts lorries serviced for a week or two, and for the chips themselves, well they resembled misshapen dog biscuits with a greasy shine. So a word of advice, if you are booze hungry do yourself a favour and give this one a miss, I'm lucky to be alive.

On our way back to the hotel after a shopping trip, we just wanted something quick and easy. This looked like my kind'a sloppy food and it deliverd on point. Great chicken donner with perfect blend og chili sauce and garlic.

This is a hole of a takeaway but the food is fantastic. The lamb kebab is worth a go.

Walked In, chicken pakora please, didn’t have any, ok I’ll have chicken tikka, sorry we only have onion baji on the starters, ok well I’ll have one piece of chicken..sorry we don’t have any chicken. What sort of place that specialises in chicken doesn’t have chicken. No surprise it’s empty.

Walk to the counter, no hello, guy just walks off and starts cleaning the fryer, waited a while but no sign of interest in the customer. It wasn't busy...all it needed was a hello and 'I'll be with you soon. I used to love this place, spent crazy money here over the years, but if they can't be arsed acknowledging you I'm beginning to think the rumours about the food quality are true. Avoid-go where you're loved!

Over priced, dry chicken and burnt strips.chips tasted like they had been reheated. Paid £1 extra for chill sauce in a small pot and was given a tomato vinegar type substitute. I would not recommend. So many places to eat in Manchester and this has got to be the worse.

I often go there on my lunch. portions area decent size. Price isn't too bad either. Food is average. Enough seats never too busier either so great for a peaceful bit to eat.

decent. I only know because my drunk girlfriend shoved a forkful of her second kebab down my throat after i picked her up from her night out. But I would definitely repeat the experience based on what I tasted

So I came in and ordered donner with a salad and naan and when I got home all I had was a wrap with a salad, no meat... second time I’ve been disappointed with this take away.

I asked for chicken tikka massala but they didn’t have any so they gave me some other random curry. like buying questionable lamb chucked inside some diarrhoea. Unfortunately this is my local takeaway otherwise i would never have order from here. Would not return

I stopped over for some takeway late night. The shop is big and clean. I ordered Donner which was not cut into small pieces. Rather it was long strips. They have offer of 3 curry & rice/naan. So it doesnt say if it is on separate containers. So we ordered this aswell. Did we little know all 3 curries a d rice put in a container. No taste. It was blunt. Staff is friendly.

I visited this takeaway last night with my partner, and I've got to say, that it's the most disgusting, dirtiest, filthiest food establishment that I've ever had the misfortune to visit! The staff were extremely unhelpful and rude, bordering on coming across nasty it was that bad! The place was unhygienic, with food and liquid stains on all the visual tables... We ordered chips, and rice with chicken. We got a handful of chips, which were uncooked. There was only three pieces of chicken on top of, what can only be described as leftover rice, which had clearly been reheated in a microwave along with the chicken, which was just white rubber in soggy batter! And to add insult to injury it cost £5.80 per portion!??!! Absolute joke!! I'm even feeling sick as I recount my awful experience in this horrible, disgusting place! This place shouldn't be allowed to trade, and serve the unexpecting paying public in my opinion! This place should one hundred percent be closed down! Period! DEFINITELY one to steer well clear of!

Please do not bother!!! Dirty place, none of the staff bothers cleaning up the mess everywhere, which poses a food safety concern. The staff are rude and generally unpleasant. Food is absolutely disgraceful, rice tasted stale, chips uncooked and chicken just microwave reheated rather than freshly cooked. Wouldn't serve to my dog. Expensive too.

Perfectly acceptable take away at a reasonable price. Gets busy during the weekend rush. Service is a lot better during the quieter times. Pizzas are suprisingly nice as are the kebabs.

Ordered our food, aggressive behavior from the bouncer physically shoving us into customers to make room for other customers to reccieve actual frozen food which was then corrected by means of microwave. Bouncer needs knocking out which I’d be more than happy to do and food quality is a 0-10 AVOID

Staff the worst people you will meet. Got our order wrong twice. When we actually got served after having to say ‘hello’ to even get acknowledged cause the man was just looking at his phone, he was doing our food and was sweating so much it was dripping everywhere and most likely in peoples food. Just generally a disgusting place with rude horrible staff, don’t bother coming here there are plenty of other places. Can’t comment on the food as it went in the bin cause we didn’t want to eat sweat. AVOID

Got chicken and chips. A hand full of chips and chicken had obviously been there for a long time as it were dry. Couldn't eat. Wouldn't recommend. Wouldn't go again. If the chicken is that bad then they shouldn't be selling it.

Ordered the house special curry with rice.. was given something that must of been on the heat pot since morning.. lamb curry was chewy and had turned black and tasted absolutely awful.. if I had seen it before I left I would’ve went for the safe option of a chicken burger.. never again

Came around 2pm for lunch, was in the mood for some donner kebab. Decos not bad it’s small and cramped only 2 tables and breakfast bar style seating. Anyway so I ordered Chicken donner and chips and a can coke. The chips were refried, Chicken donner was just warm. He took it out of the hotpot so I’m presuming it was left over from either earlier in the day or so on. All in all was very average not a place I will be returning to anytime soon.And for £6 if I wanted a greasy cheat day lunch I would’ve rather gone KFC in the food court. Very standard nothing special I wouldn’t go out my way to come. Sure sometimes you can be having a bad day so I may give the benefit of the doubt and give it a shot one more time but not anytime soon.

I don't mind unfriendly service, everyone can have a bad day. But food quality? Went there once - bad. Went there today and tried 3 curries for fiver. One of the worst thing I tried - disgusting, very oily, who puts oil on rice and in such a big amount?! Also tummy ache after eating. There's amazing place few steps further with same price for 3 curries - Little Aladdin, or bit further This & That. But this place ? Avoid ,honestly.

I had a kebab here whilst visiting Manchester. This was the worst kebab I've ever had . The man that served us was a slovenly. Don't go here.

He asistido a este lugar por lo menos dos veces en los últimos 12 meses probablemente cada vez después de muchas bebidas, pero este lugar es central a los bares en el Barrio Norte. No se lleno, pero el personal es amable y la comida ayuda a el hambre después de la demasiadas bebidas uno puede consumir en una noche muy concurrida.

El arroz por £5 y 3 es tan bueno como cualquiera de los otros curry cafés en la NQ, nos metimos en la tarde y la comida era excelente parecía fresco y auténtico y sabemos que nuestra curry.

Mi primera visita fue tarde en la noche y temprano por la mañana cuando estaba muy borracho. Me gustó la comida, así que un día volvimos a la hora de cenar ya que viven cerca. Płace is Ok but didn't enjoy my kebab a lot. Had too much sauce on it. Ok... I was there on Christmas Eve, there was no one else inside so I understand they were not on their full speed... I might give them one more chance and could possibly change my review.

Al final de la noche en el Barrio Norte no se puede superar el pollo tikka kebab de cazadores. No es nada especial, pero es mejor que otros en la zona y siempre abierto hasta tarde si necesita la recarga después de una noche fuera.

Awful food, nothing fresh about it

Fuimos después de un par de copas y fue muy agradable, nos metimos en antes y dijo preguntamos si tenían un lector de tarjetas (como algunos no) y me explicaron de 50 p si es menos de 10 libras, pensé que era servicial. Volvimos y pedimos una pequeña pizza pepperoni seekh kebab y nos sentamos dentro y - estaba muy limpia y el personal era muy amable.

APAULING FOOD !!! not freshly cooked, I had mixed tika on rice and it was the dryest cheweyest meat I've ever had with rice that was bland and tasteless, my mate had the 3 curry choice and rice and left it on the table and walked out....crap !!! clearly the owner is not bothered about reputation so avoid this takeaway if you value your stomach and money
