Cosy little family-run Italian restaurant. Staff are all extremely welcoming and friendly. It's a small place but that's what makes it so cosy! Food prices are reasonable and worth the portion size; came extremely quick aswell even though it was busy. Chai latte was flavorful and lovely. Will definitely be back for more!

Went here mid week recently. Really full at lunchtime but turnover means short wait. Any and everyone eating here,complete cross section of life.So atmosphere tops for me. Staff extremely friendly and attentive despite being busy. Food on display in cabinet makes you want to eat more than you planned .Good Italian food options.Wonderful Italian coffee.Lots of folk coming in for takeaways.Reasonable prices Brilliant place...and they answer an email query!!!!Love it.

Our go to place for breakfast in the weekend. Cute little cafe with lots of choices of food. Staff are friendly and food are fresh and tasty.

Little Italy at your door step. This place is incredible. I come here regularly and often tell people about it (all though I'd much rather it be the hidden secret it is) people have to at least try here once. Marco the owner is always welcoming as are all the staff! It's a small place but that's what I LOVE about it here

It is a very small café. But I heard the next table comments about their meals. Everyone said that it was very nice. The atmosphere and the waters are very welcoming. Even though I had a cup of coffee and pastry, I felt as best client. If you guys read my comment, thank you very much for my coffee ☕️.

We visited here on the 30th November for breakfast after few days in Nottingham. We wish we had found you sooner. What a fabulous little place, fantastic food, fantastic service and the lattes are out of this world, I've actually craved another one of your coffees since I got home and very reasonable. Was the best cheese and ham omelette I'd ever had. I was so impressed I even left a tip which i only do when it's exceptional. Well done keep up the fantastic work xx

People were really friendly and the food was amazing. I definitely recommend coming here for breakfast or lunch. The place is a bit tiny but actually kind of cozy. The only thing is that you might not have a place to sit because of how tiny it is. Overall a really good place to go to.

Hungry Pumpkin is a hidden gem. The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is very cosy. It manages to combine the egalitarian charm of a 'greasy spoon' with the quality of an Italian cafe.

I went here with my wife and Son for coffee and it didn't disappoint. Our only regret is that we had already eaten so we just had coffee and Hot chocolate for my son. When ever the food came past us for the other customers it looked amazing though, so we will definitely be back for food next time we are in Notts. The staff were very friendly, saying hello to every customer as they entered and goodbye as they left. It seemed also to be very popular for takeaway, which is another good sign for the food. I had a really enjoyable lunch at the Hungry Pumpkin with my sister. The Italian staff were warm, friendly and very helpful, giving the cafe a lovely atmosphere. Our food was delicious and very generous portions - especially the wedges! We'd highly recommend it and will be back next time we visit Nottingham. PS We also bought Italian biscuits and pasta from the Deli :-0)

Been twice now. Its a small place and we've had to wait a few minutes for a table both times but it's worth it. Good tasting coffee and breakfasts are fantastic. Mega breakfast is excellent value. My wife loves the Halloumi special. The friendliness of the staff makes it even better and a few places could learn from here how to treat customers. We will be back when in Nottingham again.

Propper little jem. Called in for breakfast and wonderful service, friendly atmosphere and as I was struggling to decide I was offered a hybrid that was possibly the tastiest breakfast I've had. We will be back next time we are in Nottingham.

What a place 😁 we've missed eating here as forget its shut on Sundays do made a point of being there Saturday. Gets busy and even though it was cold waiting outside we were sat down and eating within 20 minutes. Staff are very welcoming and cleary working hard all the time.

What to say about this place.. Italian chefs making English dishes, it’s pure magic!! Since the first time I have been in this place, the guys welcomed me with happiness and joy letting me feel at comfortable, thing that they do with all the costumers because they are so friendly. The smell of the food, the taste, how it looks like it’s just perfect, same as the coffee they do, it’s just wow! I really recommend to try this place, because it will satisfy your mouth and your belly!

Incredible service and great food

We moved to Nottingham City a few weeks ago and The Hungry Pumpkin Cafe/Restaurant was on our short list to visit. It was easy to find, very cute outside, a few tables and chairs to sit and enjoy a meal on a quiet back road. Beautifully decorated inside, surprisingly large with quite a few tables to choose from. You can tell that the locals walk in and out throughout the day because many of them popped in to pick food up while we were there. The place is absolutely spotlessly clean. Andrea greeted us with the most welcoming smile, we instantly felt at home. The food is all home made, and the chef had no issues changing things up a bit with adding fresh vegetables to my husbands meal. Everything was so delicious and we finished every morsel on our plates. My hubby had dessert, and we ordered some to take home for later because it was scrumptious. If you're looking for a simple snack or a delicious home cooked meal, then visit The Hungry Pumpkin on High Pavement in Nottingham City Centre. We're definitely going to become regular visitors.

We met a friend on a quick visit to Nottingham. There was an extensive menu, plus specials. We are vegan, our friend is an omnivore. We all found food to our liking. The staff were friendly and attentive. Great experience.

Worth hunting out, we went because of the reviews, had to wait a little while for a table but was worth it. I had the omelette, others had sandwiches and ciabatta. All was delicious, freshly cooked, excellent service and great value for money. Lots of people were ordering takeaway lunch and coffee.

A lovely family owned place to eat. We often visit here when we come into the city centre because the food is delicious and the staff are very friendly. They do a lovely range of sandwiches and Italian dishes, and the coffee is delicious. I’d definitely recommend it as a place to go for lunch.
