The safe are friendly, and the food was excellent and came around 10 minutes after ordering, and it was all hot

Can't complain with the prices or the quality of food. Cheap prices but good tasting food, more than just your typical pub food. Good cocktails too, friendly staff all round

Food was outstanding but the service was shocking. Kids ordered slush puppies, when they were brought to the table, we were told they had no straws. Kids had to use spoons to eat/drink them. When we ordered dessert, there were no spoons available so ended up trying to eat ice cream with forks.

Magnificent staff this pm. At this venue, first time for me here...wow, place was packed! And these bar people really pulled it off! Owen,Lydia, Toby,Jamie...I sincerely hope Hugrey house looks after these staff!? Because! Without them..their would be NO Hugrey house. Respect to this team...Magnificent!

Booked for a family breakfast for our daughters 21st birthday. Staff food and service was all excellent. We were able to bring our small dog Coco with us and sh was made most welcome. Definitely recommend 👌🏻

Called in on the way back from Stratford. Food was really nice ( chicken skewers mix it up ) 2 for £8.50 cor be bad and a nice pint of john smiths.

So tried here for the first time at Easter and was so impressed I went back with my family again today. The variety of food and drinks is amazing and all the deals make it so affordable. All the staff were so hardworking and friendly. We were served within a good time even though it was full due to two coaches of football away fans. Tables were cleaned so quickly after people left, well stocked condiments and utensils. Will be a regular now!

Food was greasy inedible, scampi was hard and overcooked. The spicy mayo oncthe chicken was so hot the person i was supporting left the dish saying it hurt her tongue i tried some and had to agree

Edel served us today for breakfast, she was lovely and really made us feel welcome! We had the veggie breakfast and it was lovely! Will be coming back for breakfast to try the others.

Food was lovely when it finally arrived took a long time to recieve it from. Ordering. Was busy.but not overly for the wait. No forks or knives avaliable had then wait for these after food arrived. Took ages for plates to be collected before bringing dessert. Food was good chicken little over done but ok. Would come again as not overly bad just a few things to work on.

Haven't visited for a while, and it was reasonably busy for a Friday night. Despite this, the bar service was quick, and Ellie, who served us, was wonderful. 2 Guiness Zeroes for £4 is a super offer.

Booked in for a special occasion, loved every minute. Food was amazing, the staff were so helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere. Really enjoyed it thank you.

Arrived and at the entrance where we waited until one of the gentlemen behind the bar seated us at a nearby booth, shortly after we ordered our food via the app at 2:55. We were not served until 3:55 not before being asked if we were ready for our dessert. Almost immediately after placing our cutlery down from finishing our meal the desserts arrived which was a slight surprise, a small (emphasis on small) gap inbetween would've been nice. A short while after managing to finish our desserts we ordered a final round of drinks at around 4:45...these drinks took half an hour to arrive. 10 minutes later the same gentleman that seated us originally came over to inform us that we needed to drink our drinks quickly as our booth was needed by 6pm. This surprised us as prior to our drinks arriving the matching booth beside us was empty and could've perhaps been reserved. This unfortunately made us feel hurried and unwelcome so we subsequently left. A shame considering the food was lovely (even after nearly an hour wait) and several previous positive experiences.

Went here for breakfast after staying up all night for caring responsibilities....opted for fulll English but was not keen on the fried eggs, that came with some of the albumin/the egg white still raw, so I had to ask for new eggs. Food was far too greasy even for a fry up. Atmosphere ok, maybe cus it was early-ish morning and barely anyone there. Cheap though, so if that's your thing, knock yourself out

This place offers classic pub grub at a good price, but the best thing about it is the service. We went there for my daughter's birthday recently, and although they were clearly short staffed, they still offered quick service with efficiency and humour. Thank you x

Took my daughter to breakfast with the easter bunny. It was brilliant, my little girl loved it. Staff danced with her, played with her, and she loved every moment. Easter bunny was brilliant too, had kids chasing him left right and centre, pulling on his bunny tale. He played the part very well. Thank you to all the staff who made the morning a pleasant one.

We were there Sunday for family meal , food was good , staff very helpful, staff member Nicole took care of us with all the ordering , bonus play area for children.

Can’t fault the staff, nothing to complain about there, however the food wasn’t great, steaks well over cooked etc. and food service was very slow

all staff were amazing and rushed off there feet with it being a bank holiday but still willing to be above and beyond. food was great too all empty plates at our table thank you guys for such a nice experience

Came down as saw the breakfast was BOGOF for the standard Full English. 2 for £4.79, but added some extras such as toast and black pudding. Got caught out with added drinks as these were full price and not as on the breakfast menu add on price... Great food, great service.

After staying in Dudley for a visit to the black country living museum we paid a visit to the Castle View hungry horse and was we glad we did. The welcome from the manager was exceptional as well as the service we received from every member of staff. The food was fresh, hot, and even with venue being busy the wait was very short. Booked a table for 5 adults 2 weeks in advance for a special Birthday. 6pm on a Saturday. When we arrived we waited (and waited) for someone to come to the reception stand. When she finally arrived we stated that we had booked a table and we're asked 'how many for?'. Our names were never asked and we were told 'erm let me see, I don't know if I can fit you in'. We were then led to a table for 4 and and extra chair was squashed in. One menu between 5 of us and it was so noisy we couldn't hear each other speak. I approached the same staff member and asked if we could be moved to a bigger table as it wasn't comfortable and explained that I had prebooked 2 weeks ago. She said ' we don't have tables for 5'. I suggested that clearly a table for 6 would be most appropriate and one chair would just be spare. Eventually we were given a bigger table in a quieter area and I have to say the food was great as has always been the case. However, having booked so far in advance I would have expected an appropriate table to have been reserved and our names to have been checked against a list of other reservations. It just felt very chaotic, under staffed and unprofessional. I was a bit embarrassed because I'd booked it as a birthday treat for a family member and it just made the start of our evening very awkward. Just to add as a side note - the toilets were filthy!

Booked for 10 people on a Saturday and honestly the staff were lovely, helpful and accommodating. The food came out together and still hot. They have amazing deals all week! Can’t fault them at all and will visit again soon! Thanks guys 💖

The staff were excellent and very friendly. One of our mains was wrong but it was swapped for the correct one very quickly. Food was tasty and good value

Omg the service was absolutely amazing, the managers here are some of the best people we’ve met, food was spot on. When we felt uncomfortable sitting where we were, they were very quick to find us a new seat. We had a lovely chat with the managers. The bartender was also very smiley and polite. Will definitely be coming back here soon! Would definitely recommend this spot!

Lunch visit, excellent steak dinner!!

We visited whilst staying at the Premier Inn nearby. Staff were friendly. Food is typical Hungry Horse fayre but more than acceptable. We selected the New yorker chicken which is a version of hunters chicken. Good value.

Six of us went today for breakfast, good food excellent service and polite cheerful staff. Four of us went again for breakfast- can't fault it - will be back again soon. Special shout out to the gentleman on today made us very welcome and went above and beyond to make us welcome.

Had a late lunch and it was fine, pub lunch at pub price with the expectation of whatever being fulfilled. Decent steak though it has to be said, perfectly cooked as to requested level and the only downside was cold chips, arrived lukewarm on an unwarmed plate and were cold before we were halfway through the steaks.

Place we come to regularly now :) polite helpful staff and good cheap food. Especially when the £15 family deal is on! Great idea.

Edel was a fantastic host, treated us really nice. On top of that food came fast and was very nice.

We dropped by the pub to grab some food. Upon arrival not once were we acknowledge our greeted. I found this quite rude as the bar assistant was serving drinks to go on a tray never once did he look or acknowledge our prescence. Following on from ordering our food which arrived tepid warm 30 minutes later. It looked like a child had served it. We ordered the same dish for the 3 of us yet every plate had different portions on. There must have been 10 peas on one plate and 50 on another. Just very poorly put together. The chicken was something to be desired and the sauce it was served with was seriously poor. The chips didn't taste fresh. Whilst it was a cheap meal, i didn't expect it to be as poor as it was. Real shame we had this experience cos its on a good location and ideal for people visiting Dudley.

Ate in here afew nights instead of premier inn restaurant. Great deals each night, nice food and great service. Would highly recommend.
