Was dubious about roast as don’t like bag roasts and beef can be tough but it was the best roast dinner I’ve had out, meat was melt in mouth, roasties were prefect, plenty of extra thick gravy, veg beautiful just perfect, highly recommend and will be back

Visited for Halloween breakfast this morning, it was very good value for money, the food was lovely and the service was very good. Would definitely visit again.

Me and my sister took my niece and nephew to the Halloween Breakfast this morning and we had a lovely time! We had such a friendly greeting from the staff and she even took the time to speak to the kids. The children loved their Ghost shaped pancakes! We're hoping to come again at Christmas time if they do a breakfast with Santa!

I ordered a Sunday duo of beef and turkey, firstly the mash was cold and could tell it had been microwaved and left to stand for some time. The meats were slightly dry and the stuffing was rock hard more like a breakfast biscuit. My girlfriends chicken sandwich, the bun was burnt and the food tasted bland. Over atmosphere was OK service was average at best and food was poor. £5.90 a pint of Madri😳 thought I was drinking in London when I saw the receipt. Reviews are just my experience, no point to complain you just get the same generic response, where you are offered replacements where it should be right in the first place. Save your hard earned cash and look elsewhere

Mother & Daughter breakfast date. This was one of the best breakfast that we have had. The customer service 10/10. Breakfast came hot, we did not have to wait long. Money well spent. I would highly recommend this place.

The manager is so professional she been there since day dot. Very accommodating Edel is amazing. Food is also nice.

Visited this evening and the food and service were second to non. We were served by Ciara and Kaitlin who were both pleasant and professional. We had the two for £12.99 meal deal which was really great value for money. A great place to visit, I would recommend eating here.

Stayed at Premier Inn next door. They do not advertise that this is behind the restaurant. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. Happy family!

We couldn't have wished for anything more, the staff were really attentive.

We only popped in for a pint. Initially we didn't think we could as it was very busy and the bar area was for over 18's only (we had 2 under 18). However, John, the manager was very welcoming, good fun and found us a table to have a drink. He also gave us lots of great tips for tomorrow when we visit the black country museum. The beer was excellent so obviously very well looked after. All in all, a great experience. We didn't eat so no idea about the food.

Just back from a great meal at Castle View. All our food was beautifully presented and hot and tasty. Our server Kira(sorry if spelt wrong) was very polite and efficient,we were a table of 7 and all our food came out at the same time. Thank you all for a great evening

Arrived without a table booked for 12 people. Even though they were extremely busy they went out of their way to accommodate us! Quick service, lovely food with excellent size portions. All the staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! :-)

Can’t fault the food here. The service is phenomenal. Been several times and we are always made to feel welcome. Special mention to Owen who is always happy to help and goes out of his way to make our visit enjoyable. He’s a credit to the company.

Excellent pub with efficient friendly staff. On ground floor accessible for wheelchair users. Plenty of parking space. Very close to the Zoo, Cinema, Bowling Alley and Black Country Living Museum. Well worth a visit.

We're a group who meet up about once a month and we really like this location. The staff are always friendly and helpful, food is good, never an empty plate. We will definitely keep using this pub

Great food, Great Atmosphere, Great staff

First and definitely the last time il be going there.. was extremely rowdy, people shouting and the food was rubbish. My hubby sent his chips back as they were cold his beyond burger wasnt a regular beyond burgers.. half the size. Supposed to have fried onions on ..just had sliced of red onion.... our skillets had peppers and onions welded to it... and remnants of the last meal welded to it too.. we scrapped layers of baked on charcoal off them. My baked potato was a microwaved slimy skinned thing...certainly not baked.. generally ping ping food i could have borght from Iceland and cooked myself...... really disappointed

Worst meal ever plates were cold green beens not cooked, and the meal was cold I had a beef dinner told a member of staff and she said you should have said something they would have replaced it . Meals are meant to be 75 degrees as they leave your kitchen and plates hot god only knows where you did your training .we were looking forward to a nice anniversary meal not something I will feed the stray cats

Pleasant atmosphere, lovely food. Sunday dinner lovely and warm, veggie tart dinner as so nice. Service was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Recommend and will visit again

We had an evening meal one Sunday. The service was excellent, however I ordered a Sunday roast (bad idea) which was probably very nice at lunchtime, by the time we ordered (about 5.30pm) it was not enjoyable. The roast potatoes were shriveled and dry plus the yorkshire pudding was rock hard. Thought we had a nice quiet corner till a large party arrived.

Excellent roast accommodating staff made an exception for me and served me a roast at 11 today ver pleased with my experience

There are pubs and then there places that feel like your visiting family, if its food your after its incredible 🙂 never met the chef but whoever they are gordon ramseys got nothing on you. The atmosphere is lovely great to take the whole family to. The staff are fantastic, this is led by adele who's high standards filters through her staff and they all couldnt do enough for everyone who walks through the door. I went there with the most amazing girl and asked the lovely girls to keep some gifts aside for me to surprise her with and to which they couldnt have helped anymore 💯 they are all a credit to there company and profession and i would highly reccomend anyone who wants to go for a lovely chilled out environment with fantastic food n service this is the place to be keep up the great work will be back there soon 👍

Pre midday so the building was empty apart from 3 other patrons, this was my shangri-la! Food was the expected standard, had a problem with the app so spoke to the staff member behind the bar, she was a godsend! Had a quick little natter and now I'm set for the day!

Food was fantastic, service was a bit slow but it was Friday and they were short staffed. Chez was our server she was lovely, very bubbly. Manager was attentive as I have allergies and my food was specially prepared and brought out by different server. Highly recommend this place.

Had a great time and was a Great place. Found the staff was great espcially John, he had Great customer service and was also very helpful! I have a peanut allergy and made sure that my food was prepared safely and alerted me of what was happening to the food. Even managed to make it come out in time with the other order. He also provide amazing service for my take away order and had great conversations. He even offered to take our pictures when he saw us struggling. Again great service, very manners-able and very approachable.

We continue to come back time and time again, not just for the tasty food, big portions and great value. But for the fantastic staff too. We are always made to feel very welcome, our children are recognised and interacted with as if we are family. Nicole and "Loud man" the managers are both fantastic, nothing is ever too much trouble and they always make time to chat to us no matter how busy it is. Thankyou for another great visit

Came here for a meal on Bank Holiday Monday. Nice little pub with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff . Only one complaint though I ordered the 8oz steak as there was no 11oz left so because of this I ordered some scampi for £2 to go with it , they gave me 3 pieces. Sorry but 3 pieces of scampi for £2 seems a little mean it was also soggy Onion rings and chips were cold but the rest was OK and the desserts were nice . They were very busy that day and the staff were lovely that's why I didn't say anything about the food

Went in as staying in a local hotel, the floor around our table was filthy, the toilets were disgusting and smelly. We waited 45 mins for our food to be given cold dinners

Only issue steak was overcooked asked for medium rare arrived well done, Staff were friendly and patient with our 3 children play area. It does get busy good way to meet new people and let the little ones burn of some energy.

Went to this Hungry Horse while visiting the Dudley Zoo, Black Country Museum and staying in the Premier Inn right behind the restaurant. We were greeted with a smile, taken to our table and everyone who worked there did a fantastic job! Food was perfect and the service and staff were amazing! Well done to all the staff. Would definitely recommend this place and we would definitely come back if we visited again in the future! Thank you.

Staff are always very friendly and the atmosphere is good and they cater for our families needs. Food is delious and served quite quick and done to our prefrence. We have found a restaurant that my daughter enjoys coming to and wants to go to, they do her food just as she asks for it. (she's austic and struggles with environments etc but Castle View accommodate her needs snd make her feel happy) Edel and the team always see this happens. My other 2 children love the food and the park area. It's finally nice to go out as a family and enjoy a meal together and the staff make that happen. We visit quiet requally and can't see that changing. Keep up the good work.

Love coming here been coming for over 10 years now the staff are great and they always value there customers every time we come we get 5 star treatment and the food is lovely great prices the kids enjoy coming to and playing on the park.

My first time coming to the castle view, service was great, a nice warm welcome, food service was quick and understood food allergies. Food was marked as allergy so it would not get mixed up, very clean and all round great atmosphere and service.

Been a number of times, staff are just so friendly and great for good pub grub. I had the new koftas but the vegetarian option and wow its was so lovely, best vegetarian option I have had in a long whole, please don’t ever take this off your menu!

Visited yesterday for a catch up up with a childhood friend and her beautiful baby! From start to finish, Owen and his colleague couldn’t do enough for us! (The colleague was the lady with the white blonde hair - didn't catch her name my apologies!) They were very thorough and considerate each time I ordered, ensuring none of my allergens were present, and happily swapped the egg (one of the allergens) for some toast for my full English breakfast! When it came to dessert, Owen even showed me the ✨ambrosia✨ custard ingredients just to be sure I could go ahead with my order! As someone who doesn’t always experience the best service due to having allergies, I have to say it was very refreshing being treated with such kindness and genuine care! What a credit your staff are to Castle View! I left feeling very blessed and satisfied! Safe to say I’ll be back☺️. Can’t wait to catch up with Owen and find out whether his cats are besties by the time I return hahaha!

Food is incredible and reasonably priced and I would highly recommend the ice cream. Me and my family love coming here due to the good menu, I would personally recommend the southern fried chicken burger!

Had a very warm welcome from the manager and the team. The food was delivered very promptly and tasted good. The member of bar team was very knowledgeable about the real ales and ciders they had on the hand pulls.
