Hungry Horse in Cardiff

Had to find my own menu as none on table. Ordered food and drink took nearly 10 mins to pay as card machine faulty. After waiting 30 mins ( pub not busy )our food arrived and only at this point was told to help ourselves to cutlery and sauces around the corner.I was shocked at both the poor quality and tiny size of the serviettes and had to use 8 for 2 of us. My mother's pie was overcooked and quite dry . I had the meal with a small steak, 5 chicken wings and double cheeseburger , corn on cob and fries .The skillet that the wings and steak was on was not sizzling and I could hold the skillet for 4 or 5 seconds . Whilst I left full I was really disappointed and the burger was bland even adding my own salt which I have never had to do before . Some tables had wet marks from glasses and had not been wiped over . I would not revisit the Three Elms Whitchurch due to my experience and the pub was not even busy .

Lovely food and great service Sian the waitress is a star nothing is to much for her will be coming again just to see her and be telling all my friends

I have been coming to hungry horse for years, the food is always spot on and hot. Sian has been there for many years and no problem is too big and always serves with a smile. Service and food 5 star .

Great food at a reasonable price! Really good atmosphere and friendly staff!! Like to give a special thank you to our waitress Bethan for being so attentive and helpful. Will definitely be returning in the future!

Hoy mi esposa y yo celebramos nuestros 46 años de casados en el momento en que reservamos una mesa el domingo para el caballo hambriento. Muy buena comida? Bien vale la pena el precio pagado buena distancia social aceptable. El único problema leve es con un miembro del personal, debe pensar que la máscara es para sostener su barbilla, ya que nunca se usó sobre su boca y nariz.

The hungry horse , well we always have a lovely meal there fast service pleasant , rushed off their feet staff. Tables are sticky need cleaning, carpets are thread bear in places and are dirty thick with food stuck on it in parts, the toilets are absolutely disgusting, to think that the staff that cook the food use these makes it worse,, I complained big time when we called in there. Yes I can appreciate it’s well used but come on , get this place sorted please. It’s a little goldmine so why don’t this company do the place up !

Food very good , staff very pleasant sian is always very polite and cant do enough for you. Sian always finds time to stop for a chat while carrying out her duties,but never neglects her work

Went here for lunch with my friend today. The food was lovely,Sian the waitress is fantastic,she is so friendly and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble for Sian, she makes it a lovely dining experience.

De acuerdo, confieso que soy un bar local que vuela en este pub y me quité el hábito de dejar comentarios, pero esta gente se quita los calcetines y, después de un día estresante, James habló de fútbol conmigo (soy un fanático del fútbol de Southampton que vive en Cardiff). Para completar el servicio, Ryan se estaba asegurando de que mi vaso estuviera siendo llenado. James y Ryan son cinco estrellas.

Popped out for lunch today with the family, served by Ryan who was very helpful, food arrived quickly and was presented perfectly the service we received by Sian was outstanding nothing is too much trouble, she really goes the extra mile to help

Visited the establishment with my wife as it is my day to cook lol, why do i need to do cooking when i can get good food and drink at good prices, the service from sian is second to none, always polite and curteous, nothing is too much trouble and she is always willing to help
