Food was ok apart from missing naan bread off from my chicken tikka masala, And 4.90 for a pint of coors is steep

I've visited a few Hungry Horses in the past and have mixed views. This one however couldn't have been better. The food was hot and tasty, the staff were friendly, the pub was clean and overall it was a really great experience

Fantastic service and excellent quality of food at a great price. Amber provided wonderful service for us and made us very welcome.

A good mix of food and things to do. And, a 5 minute walk to the town centre.

Went again today 30.03.2024 for the "Breakfast with the Easter Bunny" the booking was for 10.30am we arrived on time. Was seated and quickly ordered at the bar. We was seated on table 21 shortly after the booth became available and i explained to the staff we was sat on 21 and Could we move to the booth so they could watch the TV she said that was ok and cleaned the booth quickly. The food arrive at 11.15am after going to the bar to say we've been waiting already 40 minutes. The children was becoming bored and irritable. The whole thing is really difficult if you are a single parent I couldn't go to the bar without having to look for my children at the table. We couldn't do any activity again because I was on my own with two children. We wasn't impressed. And I was left feeling left out as a single parent again and unable to participate because I can't do two things at once. I feel the activities should have been on the tables and we should be able to order from the table Instead of running back and forth checking the kids are safe and still sat down whilst trying to do things etc. The whole thing was really stressful, frustrating and not enjoyable. **Old review - Went for a breakfast with my two young children not long ago. Ordered the vegan breakfast. Seemed to be the first people in there so i thought the food might be better as they may have had more time to prepare it and the chef wouldn't be as rushed. I had a pile of hard burnt beans blobbed in the middle of my beans. I ordered a tea and toast to come with the vegan breakfast but again the tea came with cow's milk and the butter wasn't vegan. The vegan sausages were not very nice, minty and really hard to cut into / over cooked and I couldn't eat them. Won't be returning for breakfast unfortunately.

The Waterfront was more than I expected. There is plenty of parking spaces but you have to pay. There is a good choice on the menu and a good selection of drinks. Children are more than welcome. Service was very good.

I got served by Mia and Beth and they were really sweet and was able to help me.

Had a very enjoyable meal. Mia was very attentive, and helped us when ordering food and drinks.

Had a wonderful night. Server - Mia - was fantastic. So helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I wish more youngsters were as pleasant as Mia.

Can honestly say it was one of the worst meals I’ve ever had family of 4 going out for my daughter’s 11th birthday I’ve been here before many years ago and the meal wasn’t great then either but my daughter chose this place so thought I’d give it another chance all meals was terrible mixed grill was shocking all the meats was under cooked how can a medium steak be so hard to cut 🤷🏻 you forgot the peppercorn sauce then bought it out stone cold you bought my partners sizzling meal plate out it weren’t even sizzling shows how hot that was all the meals was luke warm no staff came over asked if our meals was ok they must of known we weren’t going to say we wasnt enjoying them understand this was a Friday night but you weren’t even busy plenty of empty tables I can see why but honestly come on you got people paying good money for horrible food hopefully the place gets better

Went to pick up my son from the Light as they have a gaming night Friday's (Royal Jester Games). Most of the staff are friendly expecially Benjamin who hosts the night. Thank you Lucas for cooking our pulled chicken pizza (with BBQ sauce, green peppers & sour cream) thin base. It was very nice, thin base with a thick outer crust (nearly a perfect pizza if the crust was stuffed). We also had two soft drinks.

We had breakfast there it was delicious great place

Went here for a meal with a party of 3 and called up prior due to my stepdaughter having a severe nut allergy, A female staff member answered and told me the venue was fully booked and seemed not to care and became slightly rude. After I said there’s spaces online when I looked to book and she told me that’s incorrect is there anything else? Then hung up but I never got her name so that’s a mistake on my side. I booked online and went there anyway (Really cause I wanted to recognise her voice but it didn’t happen luckily for this review aha) and it was for a mother day meal and most venues were generally full. It was half full at max when we got there and wasn’t a problem when taking us to our table just needed my name I booked online with. When ordering the food and explaining about her having the nut allergy we was put through to Scott I think his name was who was very polite, fully went through the food allergens on a tablet of what she could have and seemed to go the extra mile. The food was good especially for the price range. 12oz rump steak, 15oz gammon and fish & chips was ordered and child friendly venue.

Terrible desserts 2 hrs to wait still no show told they was busy none in hayley and manageress Beth eating their desserts what a joke and they wasn't bothered.

This has to be one of my favorite places to eat. Myself and my wife visit often. Of all the Hungry Horse establishments this one has lovely polite staff that frequently ask if everything is okay. The food usually arrives within 10 minutes of ordering which can be done at the bar or on your phone via the app. All I can say is keep up the great work here. We will 100% be back and soon.

Went with a party of 3 for food (no alcohol) all 3 have been ill since, throwing up and Diarrhea.

Tgi's food was brilliant as always serves slower than usual due to how busy it was, the atmosphere good, then we popped in waterfront for a couple of drinks

My server leanne was absolutely brilliant she was kind attentive and friendly would recommend coming here great family atmosphere

Dropped in for a quick one, we were served carling beer in a strange glass, unfortunately there must of been something in the glass as the beer tasted awful and flat, the barmaid changed the drinks without hesitation and the new drinks were sound, will be going there again,

Food was good, but what made it better was the great service we received from Rhiannon. She was very helpful, friendly and accommodating, even got my young children activity sheets and crayons which made their day.

Come here regular between once a week and a fortnight or so the food is always excellent was served by Vicky today who's always happy and smiling the food and drink is good value

Absolutely amazing, food is amazing! The service from Amber and Hayley is brilliant, they always make me feel welcome and can answer any questions I have.

It's a great place to eat, especially for families. So affordable, thr experience js so much better when you have staff like Amber and Hayley, always making us feel warm and welcomed.

I came in this afternoon as I fancied some fish and chips. I was blown away by the new January deal £5!!! For a meal. I will be coming back next week. Very busy with too few bar staff, however our server Lea remained cheerful, efficient and friendly.

Amber was very helpful in creating a great atmosphere and ensuring we had a pleasant meal

Absolute best breakfast with Santa. The food was nice, Christmas activities and visit to santa were amazing. Hayley and other staff were fab with the kids. Lovely atmosphere in the pub this morning.

Went for a works Christmas Dinner. The food was 30 mins late even tho the place was empty. Starter was Pigs in Blankets. Well let's say some sausages and bacon with a gravy dip. The bacon was not wrapped around the sausage and both were half cooked and very greasy. Main was a Turkey Dinner. A plate full of vegetables and two very small slices of turkey or chicken not quite sure. The Stuffing was a rock hard ball and over cooked. Sweet was a Gateau which was very dry and a small dollop of ice cream.. Hungry Horse left feeling like a Devastated Donkey.

This is my 2nd visit in 6 weeks, the service from the team is excellent! Food quality / food timings and service is 10/10 I'd like to single out 3 staff members inparticular Elvy / Rhianon & Leanne both visits they provided excellent customer serviceI will be returning a 3rd time in the near future! Good value for money nice view and friendly staff. Been for breakfast so not so many people around.

Food was great, we pre-booked due to wheelchair diner, but the restaurant was quiet at 4pm. Ordered food with a few amendments, which were right when food came which is Def not always the case.👍 Staff were brilliant - lovely pub, restaurant for a family meal. Nothing to do with the pub, but you need to pay to park on the carpark outside.

Only gave 4 * for atmosphere as we went in at 10.30 am. It was for breakfast and a few celebratory drinks. Food was lovely some great ideas on breakfast menu. Loved the chicken in cornflakes ! .

hello there , i would like to say my food was not cooked properly my burger was soggy and my chocolate brownie was undercooked! and i DONT recommend this place at all !!! bad !!!

We was a table of 10, walked in they didn't have us booked in even though I had 2 emails confirming my booking tables hadto be put together, service at the bar was very slow, when the starters xlcame out it was cold and wrong had to be sent back to the kitchen, our mains wasnt sent out all together some of our guests had to wait ages for there mains we ordered pudding that came out right we won't be returning to this pub again

Hungry Horse. Been here many times, but this visit the staff were incredible. They fitted a group of 18 in with no notice, as TGI Friday loosed us down big time. Although they couldn't sit us on one long table, they gave us an area where we could move tables about to our liking, and we took balloons and cakes in as we were celebrating 3 Birthdays. Our meals were lovely and arrived quickly. Big thanks to Hayley, who sorted this out for us, and also the rest of the staff, who worked hard and were very helpful all night. We all had a lovely night. Can't thank you all enough.

Booked a table with my family their was 10 of us we ordered separately as being in couples food was terrible most of the plates was left staff couldn't care less on phones in and out for fag breaks plates was left with us for over an hour when we had all finished when questioned they said they was short staffed 45 mins after the meal came out my son got his onion ring stack after asking when meal was bought out disgusting and cold

Sunday lunch was unbelievably disgusting, frozen, squashed down frozen mash, microwaved turkey, veg was also disgusting, I sent it back. The steak combo was also vile, onion rings half frozen. A replacement was provided but the family meal out was ruined. We were given £17.60 back as a refund, but we actually wanted to eat out!

Food arrived with missing items... staff slow at the bar, g&t served in a half pint glass. Untill we complained. Need to sort staff out otherwise a nice place

Food & service appalling! Attended as group & everyone agreed it was a terrible experience. Food arrived cold & overcooked, salad was soggy and wet. Tables were also messy, dirty & sticky. When we politely notified the staff of these issues they were extremely rude & unprofessional. Very Low quality service & food! The only advice I can give is, Stay Away!! Bad food! Bad staff! Extremely Bad management!! The Manager Georgia in particular was extremely rude & Very unapologetic. I enjoy reviewing restaurants & have been doing so for a number of years. Hands down this is the worst one along with the extremely unprofessional & rude staff! I am currently in the process of writing to the head office.

Visited a few times and each time has been a nice visit. Food is priced very reasonable and good selection to choose from for both adults and children. Staff are very friendly and checked if everything was okay with meals ordered. Not a lot of other people in so was able to walk in and sit down without reserving a table.

3 stars because it had friendly staff think a bit over priced as 2 drinks cost more than the meal and really lost my appetite when all I could smell was weed kind of made us rush our experience because we couldn't stand the smell

Food was average, had better, cheap and cheerful. Disabled toilet always stinks (maybe needs a clean more often as it’s used for baby changing too). Service needs improving, not serving certain foods but didn’t know until we tried to order. Came in a few weeks ago, was waiting to be served, someone else just walked up from other side of the bar and got served first, nothing was said even though staff knew it was their mistake. An apology goes along way.
