A superb take away meal with fast and friendly service. I can highly recommend the salt & pepper chicken starter and the beef chow mein main. Great food 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.

Very disappointed tonight, food turned up luke warm, chips were swimming in grease, ordered bottle of diet coke and a can of lemonade, they sent Coca-Cola and a large bottle of sprite, prawns in my special fried rice still had part of a hard shell on them and the slices of pork were just fat

Lovely food but don't bother getting it delivered. More than an hour and a half for a 1.5 mile delivery! Just to clarify, they don't keep you waiting hours because they are busy, they keep you waiting because they wait until they have several orders in one area before sending any out!

Ordered for delivery and it turned up early, happy days! The food was fantastic, and the crispy beef was consistently crispy with no soggy bits. The best Chinese I've had in a while. Would highly recommend

So impressed with this place. One of the only places that stayed open late enough to serve us after a few drinks while we were holidaying in Teignmouth so ended up getting it two nights! On both occasions the service was quick and the food was delicious- we didn’t get the usual hangover from salty takeaway food and it stayed warm on the journey home (about 20 mins in the cold). Thank you Hung Le!

Excellent beef curry with egg fried rice and chips. Lots of chunks of tender beef and full of flavour. Great chips, better than most chip shops. Rice perfect. Good portions. Fast friendly service. Ordered in the shop and only waited a short while. If i lived in the area this would be a regular stop every week.

Great tasting food but rather expensive comparing to other local curry houses, plus, if awaiting delivery to home, it can be far too long timewise. Thats the problem with being TOO popular. My advice: phone as soon as open at 5.00 pm. UPDATE: Food no less delicious but price has gone up from £14.90 to £17.00!! (delivered)It seems like everyone is saying "I'll have some of that" price-wise. UPDATE: Another large price rise! Goodness me, it is getting intolerable!! The little guy at the bottom of the pile is the one who carries the rest of this profit generated country!!

Very upset to be writing this. We have used Hung Lee on many occasions before and we previously have enjoyed what we have had. However - last week I placed an order for delivery costing around £45 - the delivery driver got lost and I had to spend at least 30mi s directing him to my house. Only to be told by the driver that my postcode is incorrect and doesn’t exist. I phoned this evening to place another order and to explain the issue last week, only to be greeted with a very rude woman who could t care less. I was told by the woman in question - that isnt there issue and there are other takeaways to order from. And if I diddnt like the fact there driver gets lost and that the food may turn up cold to order from somewhere else. It felt like a real smack in the mouth considering we have order from this establishment most weeks year round. It just shows what customer loyalty really means to these places. To conclude we will NEVER order again - this rude woman has just lost a £40-£50 order every week. Unbelievable

I consider myself to be a connoisseur and fast food extradoinaire and my girlfriend once told me hung me is by far the best Chinese she’s ever had and I never believed her until we had it and wow, I still haven’t found anything as consistently beautiful as hung le (apart from her) and also reading the reviews of previous trip advisor users, If a takeaway has a 90 minute wait for food, surely that means there busy and can’t keep up with demand? than the grotbox down the road that has a 5 minute wait! Keep up the good work and beautiful food ⭐️

Excellent, we bought two meals over Xmas for first time from hung le after quality from a different outlet we had used for some time deteriorated. Both meals from hung le were absolutely delicious and good value for money. The food was perfectly cooked, and not at all glutinous as have found can happen with Chinese food purchased from some outlets. There was quite a long wait on new years eve, as I should have anticipated, but my fault for not ordering in good time. Hower the lady who served us was really pleasant and most apologetic. A good experience all round, and they will definitely be my first choice in future. Thank you.

What a lovely place! I was a little starved of choice as a vegan this evening, most places were shut. We headed over to here, running out of options. Although I think the concept of "vegan" wasn't well clarified, the tofu and mixed vegetables I ate seemed pretty vegan to me. They explained which ones had egg and fish in, etc. Also, the staff were really friendly, food was cooked pretty quickly for a busy evening and tasted great for a cheap price. Would recommend absolutely, and will visit again if I'm back in the area!

Always brilliant food and served quickly

Fancied a Friday night Chinese take out - knowing from previous experience that the take always in dawlish don’t amount to much and Hung Lee delivering from Teignmouth decided to give them a go. The food was absolutely top notch piping hot a very generous portion sizes. Decided to try won ton soup for the first time and it was delicious, highly recommend. 5 main dishes 2 soups and 2 pan cake rolls £47.00, very good value for money. We will be ordering again

Ordered, went for a beer and then collected - all on schedule about 25 minutes. Selected 5 dishes for 3 people. Massive quantity and great taste - guess what we had for breakfast! Ordered their own special dishes, bbq ribs and beef with ginger. Very tasty and reasonably priced.

Delicious food cooked perfectly, great flavour, not greasy, good options for vegan/vegetarian. Some of the best Chinese food we’ve had!

Wow! Just wow. The food here is amazingly delicious and flavourful. Rice was fragrant and noodles were bouncy. A nice counter staff ruo help me with my order and couldn’t have been more pleased with the customer service. Delivery was speedy and friendly. Would definitely visit again

We order from Hung Lee every week - we have found them consistently good. If we have ever had a problem with our order (only once in 2 years) it was rectified with a full refund which we didn’t take. And we had a call from the owner. Lovely Chinese - I would recommend - I live the bbq ribs and the curries are lovely too

Being creatures of habit we have tended to order the usual…..special chow mien + sweet n sour king prawn 😊 But have started to go a bit wild & order other dishes. We have never been disappointed, I have even conquered my dislike of black bean sauce. This is possibly the best Chinese takeaway we’ve had in the area. Paid £17.20 for 2 lots of chicken balls and one egg fried rice. Was told £3, delivery charge as well. One of the chicken balls was rock solid. Just like everything going up and up in price. Used to be my favourite. Also over a hour and a half wait.

A very popular Chinese take-away. Normally a good standard and quality with generous portions. However since the recent price hike both standard and quality have seriously deteriorated and I will probably not use again.

Some nice dishes, can't give a full 5 stars because it's still not on par with the other Chinese restaurants in the UK, I enjoy their food, and its one of the better ones in Teignmouth that's for sure

Absolute garbage tonight. Curry sauce was just gloop. Rice was completely missed off so had to wait for a replacement. The most un enjoyable Chinese for years. To top it off was basically called a liar when rung to say rice was missing. Will be a long while if ever I use this place again. Just a shame I can't leave a negative star rating

this has got to be the best Chinese ive had in the 5 years we've been in devon ,

RUDE STAFF... supposedly closes at half 11.. was looking at the menu at 11pm a customer walked in 2seconds before us and the chef would not serve us! Just said we are closed while somebody else was ordering food. When questioned would not even look at us.. if I were you I’d go to the Indian across the road!

I can't believe that in nearly eleven years living here this is the first time we discovered the Hung Le! We had Seaweed, Veg rolls, Crispy Shredded Chicken, Noodles, Satay Chicken sticks, Noodles and Beansprouts. All very fresh and great portion sizes - enough left for seconds today... You must be busy because there was quite a wait for home delivery but well worth it. We will be back again. Thanks!

I was very 'HungLe' and everything I ordered was lovely.

I was visiting a former colleague late afternoon on Saturday to take her dogs for a walk on Back Beach. We’d previously had food from the New Golden Crown but it was closed. Giving Hung Le a try, we ordered and walked for 10 minutes. On returning I was handed our food which was piping hot. I’m a big fan of Szechuan Chicken and theirs was probably the best I’ve ever tasted. The sauce was plentiful and had plenty of kick to it. The boiled rice was perfectly fluffy. The rest of the order was special fried rice, and looking at the empty plate that went down extremely well too. I would thoroughly recommend them to friends in the area.

Great food, card payments taken & delivered with in a sensible time..need I say more?.

Absolutely shocking. Paid £10.90 for mixed Hors d’oeuvres and it was like something out of the bin on a warm sunny day. Deep fried chicken with garlic and butter was as dry as frozen chicken that was left of the shelf and warmed up on the Bonnet of car on a hot day. Overall, spoke to the management about missing prawn toast and was told to order again with no delivery charge. We already paid for it. Jesus...the call handler was three sandwiches short in a picnic... Terrible food and worse service.

We ordered takeaway. It took an hour for delivery but it was so worth the wait. Reasonably priced and great quality food!

Phoned order was told one hour wait which was acceptable. Two hours later phoned back was told all order was ready but waiting for soup to be cooked really!. Piss poor .

Our second stay in Teignmouth this year, back in June we had a reasonable takeaway so put the Hung Le on our approved list! What a disappointment this time around. Best part of £50 of which the majority went in the bin, will not be using again.

My son had his first Chinese from here while we were on holiday and I loved it great portions sweet and sour sauce not too sweet

Think it was an issue with the masks having to order the food- everything was hot and well cooked. Good Chinese take away meal which had two dishes missing when we got home. Rang them and went back to get them and pay for them- think it was just an issue with the mask and not hearing what was said. Lovely Chinese takeaway would recommend x

First-time tryers of this takeaway and we were pleasantly surprised at the tastiness of the food and the fast delivery time. Probably the nicest Chinese food we've had for a long time and if this level of excellence continues we shall definitely go again. keep up the good work Hung Le and keep hold of the chef!!!!!

Once again waited an hour and a half and ring up and they haven’t even started cooking it had to cancel and find something else. When they have actually been able to deliver the food is good but don’t bother as they are so unreliable.

Take-away delivery for family of 6, was very impressive, tasty crinkle cut chips, delicious beef curry, special chow mein was very tasty. Defiantaly recommended.

We ordered a takeaway tonight at 5:30pm for 7:25pm collection- taxi to pick us up at 7:30pm. 7:50pm the order still wasn’t ready and our taxi charged us double for waiting. We had to cancel the order and ask for a full refund - absolutely disgusting service !

Food very hot an miss but staff are friendly

Ordered my food for a delivery , when I got the food , it was completely wrong , explained to the girl that what I have ordered was wrong , she proceeded to give me attitude. I asked to speak to the manager / owner and was told they didn’t want to speak to me . I said I would pay for what they forget and again , the girl gave me attitude won’t be returning. Shame used to be good !!!

Found Hung Le when on holiday in Dawlish Warren. Premises are a bit shabby but the welcome was friendly and service was good. Love their curry sauce. Will be our go to place next time we're on holiday!

Best take away in Teignmouth for me

Asked for egg fried rice, chicken balls and chaw-main with BBQ sauce. Missing egg fried rice. Called up and was told I never ordered it... shame as I really liked the food and used to go there alot....

First night of a holiday and it’s the best Chinese we’ve ever had. Really annoyed that it’s 200+ miles away from where we live.

My partner and I order from this Chinese often as it's our local. Every occasion we've been impressed and never disappointed. Always gets delivered super fast, It's cheap and cheerful and open 7 days a week and no miniumum order which is great! Best Chinese in Teignmouth without any doubt. Only down fall I would mention is the telephone staff that take the orders.. Could be a little friendlier in their tone of voice and sound just a little bit more happier but otherwise highly recommended.
