Hummus Bar in Barnet

The food is just great! Quantities are super generous. Music is good and the service is excellent (even the chairs are good…)

Food was delicious but service was diabolical. The restaurant prioritises take way/ deliveroo business over orders for eat in customers. Really disappointing as the food is really good

Bitterly cold outside, warm welcome inside...we had a wonderful waitress and a delectable lunch! This was our first post-Covid-era visit, and the food was as fantastic as always. Thank you, Hummus Bar :)

Excellent Israeli style hummus, with generous amounts of tahini. Wrap was also tasty. However, the chips, falafel and salad were below average (lots of pickle and hardly anything fresh) and the quinoa salad was unavailable.

Out of all of the restaurants in Golders Green we chose Hummas bar that was our mistake. Food was overcooked and generally poor, portions small and not up to the standard of other restaurants in the area. This will be our last time here

I was so disappointed with the quality of the food. I ordered a burger and that was mostly consisting of gristle. I replaced it with a schnitzel and that wasn’t much better. I cannot see how Himmus will remain in business if it continues this way.

Dissappointed. Disgusting attitude to paying customers who travelled 40 miles to go there. We were handed our bill midway through a lovely but delayed slow served maincourse because they wanted to seat someone else who they'd double booked. We had already spent over £300 but that was irrelevant. Not going back.

first time hear, when we arrived on a could evening the resturant was very busy, and we was put on a table just by the door, and every time the door was open , the could weather came in also, when one of the staff saw how could I was, she asked the manager to put the wall heating on, which helped,now back to the food, the food was good, it arrived on time and we all enjoyed it.

I ordered morrocan cigars (which should be spicy and slightly hot, but instead were just sickeningly sweet and swimming in grease (I would guess 3000 kcals); and houmous with salt beef - instead of salt beef I got pulled beef. I think I got sickeningly sweet pulled beef used in both dishes. Had that been clear I wouldn't have ordered it. It was packaged so poorly without the lid on it, that it was completely spilled all over the bag when received.. not worth the wait. Completely unhealthy. To be fair, it's an extremely hot day for people to be working, but unfortunately, for £26.25 I'd want to be able to eat some of it

The food was good, both the humus and meats. Service was fast and friendly. The place was nearly full at 8 o'clock in the evening and very noisy. We shared one dessert between five which was enough as we were all satisfied after the main course.

Yesterday evening at my son's request we went to Hummus Bar to celebrate his graduation results. We arrived on time at 20:30 hours, which is not late by restaurant standards, but still we felt that the meal was being rushed. The manager started calling last orders from the kitchen at 21:15 hours, which was odd because we were not told this either when I booked or when we sat down. Our food was okay, although the mashed potato we ordered had clearly been sitting for a while as it arrived with a film on it but it was fine to eat. The highlight of the evening came about 15 minutes after the call for last orders when the manager started putting the chairs on the table, whilst there were still three tables of diners in the restaurant. This completely spoilt the evening for us. It undid all the hard work that our efficient, polite and attentive waiter had done, so much so that I considered deducting the automatically added tip from the bill. I didn't as I did not see why the waiter should suffer for the managers rudeness. When I pointed out to the manager that what he was doing was the height of rudeness, so far as restaurant etiquette is concerned, he just stood there speechless. Needless to say, we won't be returning to this restaurant any time soon. I have had no pleasure in writing this type of review.

Excellent restaurant, delicious food, and courteous and fast service The only thing that bothered, was that they raised chairs on the tables at the end of the day before people finished eating

We enjoyed a very nice meat dinner here. The service was good if a bit rushed. The food was tasty and good quality

We were seated next to a family of 4 - the father was coughing eer 5-15 seconds and was sweating and dabbing himself dry. The immediate fear was Corona, but in truth, even if it was not the corona virus, any illness causing someone to regularly cough and sweat would not be nice to catch. We were embarrassed and didn't want to cause a fuss, but having tolerated it for over 15 minutes, we could not sit there any longer. We ordered the Humus and falafel and the meat cigars to start and didn't even eat half of it before having to politely and quietly inform a waiter and manager that we just needed to leave asap. We felt so uncomfortable that we had no other option than to immediately leave the restaurant. We offered to pay for the starter and drink we barely touched and the manager, in his great wisdom, decided it would be a good idea to fully charge us - £21.90 for a few bites of food. I was very disappointed the manager didn't have the compassion to see our evening had been ruined and offer to take care of the bill and comp the bites we had consumed. Too worried about the owners profits to care about the customer. Whilst we do not blame the restaurant for the situation we found ourselves in, we won't ever be coming back as a result of the way the manager handled the situation. Very disappointing and shame on the ill man that clearly has no respect for anyone else, disgusting.

Ordered hummus and pitta. Expected a lot from a place called Hummus Bar, but the hummus was a disgrace. It was served in a box freezing cold which means it clearly sat in a fridge (at least) all day. Eating hummus at that temperature gave me the shivers as it was clearly not fresh. The pittas were stale and also very generic. No respect for the food they are serving. Avoid.
