Hugs and Bites in Camden

Me acerqué para un almuerzo ligero con algunos amigos a este acogedor lugar bien situado cerca de Warren Street. El interior está muy bien diseñado, aunque las mesas están bastante juntas. Pedimos el mezze con tres salsas, más los calamares, el halloumi y la coliflor asada. Los calamares con su miga crujiente y crujiente era un punto destacado y nos encantó el halloumi también. El servicio era relajado y amable. Los baños bajaban por una escalera muy empinada. Tuvimos un descuento de The Fork, así que eso lo hizo asequible. Si hubiéramos pagado el precio completo habría sido bastante caro para unos pocos platos pequeños.

Cancelado el día de asistencia. Reservamos esto 4 días antes y recibimos un correo electrónico diciendo que están cancelando la reserva unas horas antes de que asistiéramos. Afortunadamente revisé mis correos electrónicos ya que esto fue reservado para una ocasión especial. No hay excusa por qué, creo que su servicio al cliente es muy pobre.

Pasamos a cenar y disfrutamos compartiendo algunos Mezes - Babaganoush, Tsaziku y Aceitunas seguido por el Cordero. Todo estaba fresco y delicioso, especialmente el pan plano! Bonitos vinos disponibles también. Un lugar agradable para familias - con asientos al aire libre también

Lugar acogedor con comida muy sabrosa y buen servicio. Hummus, buñuelos de calabacín y una pasta para untar feta eran ideales para una comida ligera.

Erg lekker gegeten, prima bediening en service! We hadden een gerecht besteld dat we niet lekker vonden, dat werd van de rekening afgehaald !

Lovely service, attentive but not pushy and certainly not rushed. Soft drinks, three small plates and a main plate each (the prawns) and was hot, tasty and reasonably priced. Would visit again to try the other dishes and think that they will be just as good. The halloumi and sweet potato fries were particularly tasty.

It was my first time in London and my friend who lives in London, suggested me that restaurant. If I had more time in London, I would like to go there again. Everything ,which I ate, was so delicious. The restaurant was so clean, waiter was so polite and kind, service was so quick and the atmosphere was so gooodd! I love eating and yummy foods if I will go to London again, absolutely I’ll go to Hugs and Bites by Can Cagan too again.

Lovely cafe in Islington around the corner from the station. The menu has a lot of small dishes for sharing as well as some meal options. I had the oven baked salmon served on a bed of vegetables which were cooked to perfection, and the feta and melon salad. I would happily return to this cafe for a light meal.

I popped in for a Saturday lunchtime snack after a walk round Highbury Fields and really enjoyed the vibe - friendly and full of personality. I just had the zucchini fritters, which were fab - gooey with cheese in the middle and perfectly crisp on the outside. I will definitely order these again and sample other dishes from the interesting Mediterranean menu. Dog friendly.

It was perfect experience . We tried cocktails and small plates and it was really delicious.we weill be back!:)

We booked in here at short notice hoping that the 4.5 stars on trip advisor would be a good reflection. The restaurant itself is fine, we didn’t feel the lighting was sufficient with both us and the couple next to us using our phone lights to see the menu properly. This also was the case in the toilet which is downstairs with only the toilet itself lit by a dim spotlight - I searched for the light when I went in. The stairs were also in need of a good scrub. The drinks were fine, no issues. The staff were pleasant enough but appeared very engrossed in their phones in between serving the tables. The food was also average, there was no buratta and no gnocci which was disappointing on a weekend. Some of the dishes were nice but others were substandard. The courgette and feta fritters were sloppy and the olives were extortionate at £4.50 for a very small (3inchx3inch ish) square dish with a few what appeared to be jarred olives in. The tacos at £15.50 were also underwhelming. We did like the halloumi and the crispy rolls with feta in (I cannot remember what the name of this dish was). £70 for 2 drinks and mainly very average tapas seemed expensive. Wouldn’t return.

Four of us dropped in at this restaurant on a friday night. Expecting more friends arriving in London later same night, we ordered some tapas to share. When the flock started to grow we asked the waiter to order a selection of tapas to share. What we fot was a symphony for the tastebuds, served fast and with good beverages. Looking forward to my next visit.

If you want a good feed, come here! Great service, great drinks, great food. We had travelled from Edinburgh and this was our first night in London. Phenomenal. The decor was really cool and unique. We sat outside and it was really nice. This is a small place, but perfect! Plenty of character, great food. The woman serving us was amazing. Visited Hugs and Bites for dinner with my Mum. It's out if the tourist area but totally worth it and the prices are therefore much more reasonable (a glass of prosecco was only £6.50)! We sat outside - service was great. The food was delicious, I would recommend the honey aubergine sticks, and the spinach and feta rolls were also delicious. Plenty of options for vegetarians. I will definitely return when in London again.

Great place to have some drinks and delicious foods with your friends. Foods are very tasty with affordable prices. Cant wait to go and have a great evening again.

Visited as a couple for an evening meal whilst in London. It's a little outside of remain tourist areas but we'll worth the trip! The menu has some great variety and we tried lots of plates as it all sounded so good, would especially recommend the tacos and honey aubergine. The restaurant had a really nice vibe too if and wasn't too big so the servers were able to check on tables and chat which was nice.will definitely visit again next time we are in London.

The reviews are very high but I believe many to be fake, to our complete disappointment. The price for what is provided is awful - substandard food heading towards fine dining prices. There was absolutely a quality issue. One of our Mezze's was missing, bread followed 5 minutes behind everything as did plates and cutlery. Chicken was poor quality, which was frustrating given the price. Many items were also out of stock from the menu. I'd recommend heading to a Turkish restaurant locally for something much more authentic. I rarely leave reviews but felt it was needed here.

Having visited yesterday evening and sampled a few of the tapas dishes I thought that I would leave a quick review. Staff seem very attentive and spacing between dinners was adequate given current restrictions. I ordered a few small plates but the halloumi and humous were very nice. Overall a nice lite meal in an ambient setting. Not the cheapest of venues but on average with London prices.

Great choice of tapas, have tried three which I found disappointing, in particular the Turkish sausage and Tabouleh tapas. Tabouleh was very sweet prepared with vinegar and pomegranates in abundance. Menu looks great on paper, less so on the plate. Not given a bowl to get rid of the pomegranates despite the waitress having noticed I wasn’t enjoying the tabouleh. Presentation was OK and the wine was good.

A tiny little tapas bar with a great menu, lovely people and a pavement seat to watch the Fitrovian world go by. They deserve to do well: lovely food and cold beer. A great evening. Go to it.

Was taken here by friends for dinner, not only is the food delicious but the staff are very attentive. We were party of 12 and service was excellent. I have tried zucchini fritters and chicken casserole which were amazing. Definitely recommended.
